The Chase appoints sixth Chaser

Darragh Ennis has joined ‘The Chase’ as the sixth Chaser.
The ITV quiz show – which is hosted by Bradley Walsh – has welcomed a new addition to the team of quiz heads, formed of Mark "The Beast" Labbett, Shaun "Dark Destroyer" Wallace, Anne "The Governess" Hegerty, Paul "Sinnerman" Sinha, and Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan as they go head-to-head against four contestants who answer questions to split the prize money.
Darragh took to his Twitter account to share the news, and hopes he will be able to catch a few contestants before they get to the final.
He wrote: "I’m really excited to be the 6th chaser on #TheChase . I’ve been working hard on this for a while now and can’t wait for my episodes to air. Well the ones I win anyway (sic)."
Darragh previously appeared on ‘The Chase’ as a contestant bagging £9,000 against the Chaser, but his teammates chose to play it safe by taking lower offers to ensure they would make it to the final round.
Viewers were outraged when the mastermind was left with £2,700 and tried to get justice for Darragh by setting up a GoFundMe page to raise the money he had lost.
The news comes after Mark teased the show was looking to add a sixth chaser, and Bradley has also suggested there could be several new faces.
He told Radio Times magazine: "We’re making more and more shows all the time, so we need to recruit more people all the time.
"So consequently, we have put our feelers out to find other people that will be suitable, and all will be revealed next year. It could be more than one, who knows. But it’s a proper shake-up."
