The Chainsmokers want to work with Kanye West

The Chainsmokers would "kill" to spend a day in the studio with Kanye West.
The ‘Closer’ hitmakers – comprised of comprised of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart – are massive fans of the 39-year-old rapper and would love to spend some time with him even if they didn’t make music together.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, they said: "Kanye is an idol of ours. We would kill to spend a day with him. For us it’s even more about just learning from him, his methods and everything. Doing a song would be a dream but we would settle for a hang out. "
The ‘Selfie’ stars got to see the ‘Fade’ hitmaker at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, where he was given five minutes to do whatever he wanted, and they "admire" him for having "the balls" to speak his mind.
Talking about his five-minute reign at the awards ceremony, they said: "As far as what he said we don’t always agree with everything, but you have respect his conviction, dude gets up in front of millions of people and speaks his mind for better or worse. Not a lot of people have the balls to do that and we think its admirable, and dude is a creative genius."
Kanye poked fun at Taylor Swift, who he has clashed with on many occasions but most recently over his new single ‘Famous’ and also referenced his wife Kim Kardashian West’s sex tape.
Speaking on stage at the bash at New York’s Madison Square Gardens, he said: "I am Kanye West and it feels really great to say that – especially this year. I came here to present my new video but before I do that I’m going to talk."
Kanye – who memorably interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech when she won the Best Female Video award at the 2009 VMAs in which he said his friend Beyoncé should have won – went on to subtly mock the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker, who didn’t attend this year’s awards ceremony.
He said: "Now later tonight ‘Famous’ might lose to Beyoncé but I can’t be mad. I’m always wishing for Beyoncé to win so… For people to understand just how blessed we are, [‘Famous’] was an expression of our now, our fame right now, us on the inside of the TV… [I had the] audacity to put Anna Wintour right next to Donald Trump."
