The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner to become a father

‘The Apprentice’ star Thomas Skinner is to become a dad for the first time.
The 29-year-old businessman has revealed his girlfriend Sinead Chambers is pregnant, and the couple found out she was expecting a few weeks ago but kept the news under wraps until now.
Thomas told The Sun Online: "I am absolutely over the moon – it’s honestly the best news I’ve had in my life.
"At this crazy time for everyone I just want to share my happy news, it’s just fantastic and I’m so excited for what’s to come."
Thomas, who became a fan favourite after appearing on last year’s series of the BBC One show, was "gutted" to miss out on Sinead’s first baby scan, as the mother-to-be had to attend on her own due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The current health crisis means expectant mums have to attend medical appointments without their partners, due to social distancing.
Thomas waited outside the hospital while Sinead had her appointment.
He said: "Obviously, I’m gutted, I would love to have seen the scan as it happens but I totally understand the need to have those rules in place.
"I was so nervous waiting outside the hospital! It’s the most scared I’ve ever been and I was gutted I wasn’t in there with her."
Thomas – who owns the Fluffy Pillow Company – met Sinead two and half years ago in London, and the pair moved in together earlier this year.
He also joked he would ask Lord Sugar to be the child’s godfather.
Thomas said: "I’m sure he will be chuffed for me, and you never know, I might even ask him to be godfather!"
