The 1975 pull track from streaming services

The 1975 have pulled one of their tracks from streaming services because frontman Matty Healy decided the album would be better without it.

The band have wiped a track called Human Too from their 2022 album Being Funny In A Foreign Language on online platforms and Matty has now told fans the song has been ditched because he decided he no longer wanted it on the record.

In a post on Reddit, Matty explained: “Hey! Human Too was removed from the album so the album is more how I want it to be.

“Previous physical release obviously remain the same.”

Matty went on to hint he is considering removing another track from streaming services – What Should I Say from their 2020 album Notes On A Conditional Form – but he hasn’t decided yet.

The singer added: “I doubt the same will happen with any other records as I am pretty happy with them outside of What Should I Say from Notes On A Conditional Form.

“So that may also be removed, who knows”.

The band’s last album was Being Funny in a Foreign Language in 2022 and they are now working on their next release. Matty’s TV star mother Denise Welch, recently revealed she has heard the new material her son’s band has been working on during their downtime from the road.

She is quoted by the Daily Star as saying at the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards – powered by Jaguar – on Wednesday (08.10.25): “It’s fabulous. It’s very different, but it’s got the DNA of the 1975, I think you’ll love it.”

The Loose Women panellist also revealed she is “grandmother” to Matty’s pet rat Splinters and the singer needs a “rat-sitter” whenever he goes away on tour.

The actress said: “I’m a grandmother to a rat. There was two. One was called Bobby Robson who was a Geordie rat from Los Angeles.

“But sadly Bobby died, but Splinters is still flying the flag. They have a rat-sitter who moves in when they’re away. I don’t mind a pet rat I’m very fond of Splinters.”

The 67-year-old star was also asked about Matty’s ex-lover Taylor Swift’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl – but refused to comment.

She said: “I plead the fifth on anything to do with that!”
