Tess Daly posts heartfelt tribute to Bruce Forsyth

Tess Daly marked the third anniversary of Sir Bruce Forsyth’s death with a touching tribute on social media.

The 51-year-old presenter – who used to co-host ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ alongside the late TV star – took to Instagram to hail Bruce as one of Britain’s "greatest entertainers".

Tess wrote on the photo-sharing platform on Tuesday (18.08.20): "It’s hard to believe that’s its 3 years since we lost our beloved Brucie [love heart emoji]

"The sheer privelige of working with him, belly laughing with him and calling him my friend was just honestly immense; a life-enriching experience I never took for granted during the decade we worked together and one that I will never ever forget. Truly one of this nations greatest entertainers; a national treasure no less. The great Sir Bruce Forsyth; all he ever wanted was to bring the JOY and see the smiles on the audiences faces; that’s when I saw him at his happiest. Show business was his SUPERPOWER (sic)"

The TV legend died of bronchial pneumonia, aged 89, and Tess has admitted she still misses his wit and charisma.

Her post continued: "What a star. I miss his constant jokes, our lunches, his long chatty caring phone calls checking up on us all. His great love for his wonderful wife; always "my darling Winnie" [love heart emoji] Life felt brighter with him in it and I for one loved him to bits . Thanks Brucie [love heart emoji] #forever #legend #bruce (sic)"

Tess previously described Bruce as a "special part" of her life and admitted it was a "privilege" to work with him.

Speaking in 2018, the presenter shared: "Bruce was a very special part of my life and an incredible person and so generous.

"To have shared that time with him was a privilege."
