Ed Sheeran wants Taylor Swift to date Orlando Bloom.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker believes the 25-year-old singer and the hunky actor, 37, would make the perfect couple and he’s convinced it won’t be long before they become an item.
Speaking to NOW magazine, he said: "He’s [Orlando’s] lovely, and they live in the same [residential] building [in New York City]. [I’m hoping] the magic might present itself eventually."
However, Orlando, who has four-year-old son Flynn with his estranged wife of three years Miranda Kerr, 31, may have to work a little harder if he’s planning on winning over Taylor as she’s adamant she’s happy being single at the moment.
She said previously: "It seems like when I moved to New York love and heartbreak and the themes that used to be main factors in my music kind of faded to the background.
"[Bu] of course, love is still very interesting to me as a writer."
Asked whether she was interested in love as a beautiful young woman, she added: "Not right now. I’m just really happy and I’m really protective of that."
Meanwhile, Ed, 24, is no stranger to playing match-maker as he introduced ‘Friends’ star Courteney Cox, 50, to her now-fiancé, Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, 38, late last year.
The flame-haired hunk had nothing but praise for the stunning actress, adding to the magazine: "She’s very warm and friendly, and wants to give to everyone. She lets people stay, cooks dinner, shows an interest in what they’re doing. So it’s not so much forcing yourself, or her asking you, you’re just there. Pretty much every time I go to LA now that’s where I stay."
