Taylor Swift supporter turns fan page into ‘full time job’

A Taylor Swift megafan has turned her love for the singer into a “full time” job.

Olivia Levin, 26, started the SwiftiesForEternity fan account on Tumblr and Instagram well over a decade ago, and she has been a huge fan of the pop star since she was 13 years old when she found an online community “who understood music and were passionate about it and Taylor’s music”.

After graduating from college, she started a remote corporate job and balanced her 9-to-5 with the Taylor Swift fan page, until she got laid off in April 2023.

She told PEOPLE magazine: “I was applying to other jobs, and at the same time, my account started to blow up during The Eras Tour.

“I serendipitously met my brand partnerships agent, who was like, ‘Let me try and get you brand deals.’ I started putting more of my personality and my face into the account.

“I was like, ‘Do you really think that’s gonna work on a fan account?’ She was like, ‘We can try.’ And we did. It worked, and I was making more money than I ever did in my corporate job.”

Her account now has a following of almost 630,000, as she shares updates on the Anti-Hero singer’s life and career, as well as delving into Easter Eggs in her songs.

The account has given her the freedom to “stop looking for a corporate job” and instead focus on “brand deals”, while she is now “a full-time creator”.

She said: “That’s my full-time job.”

She frequently gets calls from networks to “be the community spokesperson”, and she always has to be available.

She explained: “So it consumes my life more at certain points, but I would say, right now, I’ve had more time to focus on my book tour and the other things that I do for work.”

That includes being ready to drop everything and “update the fans”.

She explained: “For me, running the account, I could be at Thanksgiving dinner, but if Taylor does something, I have to go on my phone and be like, ‘Sorry, guys, I have to update the fans.

“Because I wanna be the first one to post. There’s always something going on, and it definitely keeps us really busy.”
