Taraji P. Henson’s boyfriend Kelvin Hayden tries to persuade her to workout with him.
The ‘Empire’ actress recently confirmed she is in a relationship with the 34-year-old ex-NFL player, and now she has revealed he is keen for them to exercise together as a couple, but she does not hit the gym as much as he does.
The ‘Proud Mary’ actress told E!: "He works out more than me. Isn’t that always the case though? He’ll try, ‘Come on baby, let’s go!’ I’m like, ‘Tomorrow…’ That’s me.
"I have my moments though. It’s the new year so it’s time to get back on the wagon, I kind of fell off after Thanksgiving. I do that every year, I just enjoy my life and then I get back in the saddle."
The 47-year-old star recently confirmed to ESSENCE’s ‘Yes, Girl!’ podcast about being in a long-term relationship with Kelvin, two years after the couple sparked speculation they were dating after being pictured holding hands together while on holiday.
She explained: "It wasn’t even about talking about my life, I just had a question, they asked me if I was happy and I said ‘I’m very happy’ and they ran with it, did all the research."
So it wasn’t like, ‘Let’s sit down and talk about my life!’ No it wasn’t. But I am very happy."
Taraji was left heartbroken when her partner William Johnson – her high-school sweetheart and father of her 23-year-old son Marcel – was murdered in 2003.
Just three months before she confirmed she is dating Kelvin, the actress spoke about looking for love.
She said: "I would love to [be in a relationship], but he has to see how I move and deal with it. Because I don’t have time to explain. I’ve got work to do."
