Tamara Ecclestone’s mother watched her share her first ever kiss with her now-husband Jay Rutland.
The 30-year-old socialite asked her mum Slavica to go with her on her first date with the hunk, whom she married last June, but things got a little uncomfortable when the pair passionately locked lips in front of her.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Tamara explained: "It was just meant to be drinks. My mum was in a restaurant nearby and was going to come meet me afterwards but me and Jay were getting on so well, drinks turned into dinner and my mum turned up anyway. At first she was quite frosty towards Jay because she is so protective of me.
"But she soon warmed up and we all went clubbing until 3am. It was the most surreal first date and out first kiss was in front of mum.
"It must have been nerve-racking for Jay. We’re not the easiest family to come into but he has fitted in so well."
Following their whirlwind romance, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter, Sophia on March 17, 2014, and the brunette beauty admits she is thoroughly enjoying every aspect of motherhood.
She said previously: "I love being a hands-on mum.
"I made a decision to be a mum who’d raise my baby with the support of my family and Jay.
"I was there for the first times Sophia rolled over, smiled and giggled in her sleep. There are times we do have help from the nanny, but they’re in the minority."
