Take That for BBC Music Awards

Take That are to perform at the BBC Music Awards.

The band recently reformed as a trio – made up of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen – following the departure of Jason Orange, and they’ve now been confirmed to perform at the inaugural awards ceremony at London’s Earls Court on December 11.

The ‘These Days’ singers will appear alongside some of the biggest and most iconic UK and international artists as part of the ceremony to celebrate the year in music.

They will play before a live audience of nearly 14,000 people and to millions more across the nation on BBC One, BBC Radio 2 and bbc.c.uk/music.

Joining them at the awards ceremony will be One Direction, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Clean Bandit, Paloma Faith, Calvin Harris, Ella Henderson, Labrinth, Catfish and the Bottlemen and other artist who are yet to be announced.

The ‘Relight My Fire’ hitmakers first joined the pop scene in 1990 as a five piece including Robbie Williams, who quit the band in 1995 before rejoining in 2010 for their album ‘Progress’.

However, he later stepped down from the group – who have had eight UK number one albums, 15 number one singles and sold over 30 million albums – again and Jason announced earlier this year that he too had decided to leave.

Tickets for the BBC Music Awards have now sold out but the ceremony and performances will go out live across the broadcasters’ numerous platforms.
