Strictly Come Dancing’s Kevin Clifton regrets Glasgow tattoo

Kevin Clifton regrets his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ tattoo "every day".
The 37-year-old pro was paired up with 45-year-old TV star Susan Calman back in 2017, and the duo – who didn’t expect to make it far on the BBC’s Latin and ballroom competition – agreed to get designs of each other’s hometown if they made it to Blackpool.
Reflecting on the design on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Tuesday (04.02.20), he said: "When I was dancing with Susan Calman in 2017, she joked that if we made it as far as Blackpool – because we were always the favourites to go out right from week one. If we made it to Blackpool she’d get ‘I love Grimsby’ tattooed on her foot.
"So I jokingly said that I’d get ‘I love Glasgow’, because that’s where she’s from. And then it happened, and then she got her tattoo so then I was locked in. I had to do it."
Asked by host Susanna Reid if he regrets the tattoo, Kevin admitted he still can’t believe he agreed.
He added: "Every day, yes. But it’s there now, it’s done!"
Meanwhile, Susan was delighted with her own ink, as she insisted the design will always remind her of her achievements on ‘Strictly’.
After getting it done in 2018, she tweeted: "On Strictly, I promised the audience I’d get a specific tattoo if me and @keviclifton got to Blackpool …
"1. I always keep my promises … 2. I added a sun for Bring Me Sunshine … 3. It’s full of joy and a reminder of what I can achieve if I dance outside my comfort zone. I love it! (sic)"
