Strictly Come Dancing: AJ Prithcard ‘will be missed’

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ says AJ Pritchard "will be missed" by fans and crew alike.
The 25-year-old pro dancer – who first appeared on the BBC Latin and ballroom competition in 2016 – quit the show this week and the team has thanked him for his successful stint.
A statement shared on social media read: "We would like to thank AJ for four fantastic years on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
"He is a brilliant dancer who reached three semi-finals during his time on the show.
"He will be missed by fans and the ‘Strictly’ family. We wish him all the best for the future."
The statement comes as AJ confirmed his exit on Thursday (26.03.20) and insisted "the time is right" to move on to other projects.
His team announced: "After four years on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, AJ has decided the time is right to leave the show and follow his dreams to explore opportunities in the presenting world alongside his brother Curtis.
"AJ would like to thank the team at ‘Strictly’ and everyone at the BBC for giving him such a brilliant opportunity.
"AJ would also like to send his love and gratitude to all who have followed and supported his career.
"He is excited for you all to join him on the next chapter of his journey."
Alongside the statement, AJ took the opportunity to send his best wishes to everyone amid the coronavirus pandemic.
He wrote: "Sending my love to everyone in this difficult time, please keep safe. AJ x (sic)"
Both siblings have been open about wanting to work and perform together in the future, and Curtis had joined his brother on his ‘AJ Live’ tour before the remaining dates were postponed due to the current crisis.
