Stormzy nervous for his mother to hear new album

Stormzy is nervous about his mother hearing his new album.
The 23-year-old grime artist unveiled his LP ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’ on Friday (24.02.17) but is a little worried when his mother finally gets a chance to listen it.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "My mum ain’t heard it, she will listen when it comes out. I think there’s going to be a few tunes where my mum is thinking, ‘I don’t care who Stormzy is that is not a good thing, why you saying that son?’ But I think there will be some things she can be proud of, it’s meaningful and from the soul."
It comes after Stormzy – whose real name is Michael Omari – played two surprise gigs in London on Friday (24.02.17) afternoon to mark the new release.
He performed songs including ‘Shut Up’ and ‘Big For Your Boots’ at Castlehaven Park in Camden, north London before heading over to Babmaes Street in Piccadilly, east London, for another performance.
Since the LP was released, celebrities have flocked to social media to congratulate Stormzy on his debut effort.
Adele wrote on Twitter: "This fine man’s album is out today. Good luck darling @stormzy1 stormzy.com (sic)"
Whilst Ed Sheeran – who teamed up with the singer at the BRIT Awards on Wednesday evening (22.02.17) to perform Ed’s hit ‘Shape Of You’ – added: "Check out the @Stormzy1 remix of shape of you – his debut album is also out this week. Grab both on iTunes plz thanks (sic)"
Former One Direction star Niall Horan posted the album cover to his 18 million followers on Instagram, captioning it: "@stormzyofficial . Unbelievable . Congrats mate (sic)"
