Stone Temple Pilots close to finding new frontman

The Stone Temple Pilots have narrowed down their search for a new frontman to three potential singers.
The American rock group lost their original frontman Scott Weiland last December after he tragically passed away from an accidental overdose and had been touring with Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington on lead vocals, but he left to focus on his band’s new album in January.
Since February, the ‘Plush’ rockers – consisting of brothers Dean and Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz – have held public auditions to find a replacement and will begin the final round on April 18.
A statement posted on the band’s Facebook page read: "Those of you who put forward your top 3 candidates and singer suggestions was a great help as well. Thank you for that.
With MANY hours clocked in behind the computer, the 3 of us have chosen and are auditioning some very talented people.
Auditions will start on April 18th. We are thrilled to get in a room with each of these very talented individuals.
Let the good times roll.
Love Robert, Eric, Dean (sic)"
Stone Temple Pilots asked hopefuls to sing-along to instrumentals of their tracks in their submissions including ‘Interstate Love Song’, ‘Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart’ and ‘Vasoline’.
