Steven Tyler fears he could die like Prince

Steven Tyler worries he could die like Prince because of his past drug use.
The ‘When Doves Cry’ hitmaker passed away suddenly last month at his Paisley Park home in Minneapolis at the age of just 57 leaving the pop world stunned.
It’s now been reported that Prince had the painkiller Percocet – which contains acetaminophen and oxycodone – in his system when he died and had problems with cocaine.
Tyler overcame battles with alcoholism and drug abuse in the 70s and early 80s but he is worried that he could have done major damage to his body which could affect his health or that he could relapse with tragic consequences.
In an interview with DuJour magazine, the ‘Crazy’ singer said: "I think Prince died so I could live. I think we both have the same disease. Today I’m sober and alive. Will I be dead tomorrow? I don’t know."
The 68-year-old star is determined to keep making music whilst he can and is currently taking a break from Aerosmith to make a solo country album.
Tyler – the father of actress Liv Tyler – feels completely reinvigorated from recording the new genre for him and he can’t wait to release the finished LP.
The rocker – who has so far brought out the singles ‘Love Is Your Name’ and ‘Red, White & You’ – said: "I knew I wanted to do a solo record – it’s like that (Foreigner) song ‘Feels Like the First Time’. I had never written with folks like the ones down here; to walk into a room, drink some coffee and eight hours later you have a song … I come from the old school, where the inflection’s not just showing anger and nothing but a good time, but also some lyrics that have a story to tell."
