Stephanie Waring hopes Davinia Taylor will return to Hollyoaks

Stephanie Waring "really hopes" Davinia Taylor will return to ‘Hollyoaks’ next year.
The 38-year-old actress – who portrays mega bitch Cindy Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap – thoroughly enjoyed having her on screen sister – who plays Jude Cunningham – back in Chester and would love nothing more than to see her back in 2017.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "It was amazing we fell back into that old relationship we had when we were teenagers obviously a lot more grown up and hopefully a lot more wiser but yeah I can’t wait until she comes back. I hope she comes back. You never know what happens. She’s got a schedule and we have to fit it in with her schedule as well so hopefully it can be worked out for next year."
Fans were left in shock last month when Jude fled the village once again but it looks like her departure won’t be a quiet one as Cindy will be forced to face the music.
She explained: "I can’t really give too much away obviously but there’s going to be a nice surprise at Christmas for Cindy – something of a little present that her sister Jude left her when she left so you’ll have to tune in and see what it is, it’ll definitely change her life over the next year or so and for many years to come."
Davinia turned her back on the programme almost two decades ago but is thrilled she’s been asked to reprise her role as party animal Jude Cunningham, a part she portrayed from 1996 until 1998, in the Channel 4 show.
The 38-year-old actress hasn’t had the best time in the spotlight following her highly-publicised wedding to football agent Dave Gardner in 2003, her stint in rehab in 2005 and the breakdown of her marriage in 2010 but, after taking herself away from the limelight, she now feels ready to kick-start her career on the Primrose Hill set.
