Stephanie Davis wants to raise her child alone.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress was left stunned earlier this week when she discovered she’s pregnant with her on/off boyfriend Jeremy McConnell’s baby but, despite her heartache, she’s determined she doesn’t need the Irish hunk anymore and will bring up the unborn tot as a single mother.
A source explained: "She was shocked when she discovered she was pregnant, they hadn’t been trying but they hadn’t exactly been careful…
"…She is determined to raise the child alone. Hopefully this will sort her head out – she has just been left to cope with this all by herself. Jeremy won’t take her calls."
The brunette beauty is "100 percent pregnant" after taking three tests to confirm it but she’s devastated the 26-year-old model doesn’t believe she’s carrying his child.
The insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Stephanie was desperate to see Jeremy and break the news face to face. He point blank refused – in fact – he doesn’t believe that she is pregnant and it’s breaking her heart."
The 23-year-old star set tongues wagging earlier this week after she appeared to hint she’s pregnant when she left a since-deleted comment under Jeremy’s photo on Instagram.
And, although Jeremy doesn’t yet have proof she really is expecting, he’s adamant he’ll stand by her if it turns out she’s carrying his child but he wants her to quit the booze and lay off the partying for the sake of their baby.
He said recently: "Just to clear if what is circulating is true, I’ll always be responsible for my actions and I explained to Steph I’ll speak to her, and do everything for her, if she stops drinking and partying knowing she’s "pregnant" I’m sick of tit for tat but I won’t let anyone slander me ,i haven’t been ideal in the relationship what so ever, I’m trying to move on peacefully, it’s a shock to most, but a kid can’t fix a broken relationship." (sic)
The turbulent couple called time on their on/off relationship for the fourth time last month following a series of blazing rows which, at times reportedly turned physical, while holidaying in Cape Verde.
The arguments reportedly led to Jeremy needing six stitches in hospital after an altercation got out of control.
The former pair first began dating in January after they fell for one another while competing on this year’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ but, over the past five months, they’ve been rocked by countless cheating allegations and vicious rumours.
