Stephanie Davis thought she had lost baby

Stephanie Davis thought she was losing her baby last week when blood started gushing from down below.
The 23-year-old actress is currently 31 weeks pregnant with her first child but feared something tragic had happened when she woke up in the the night with excruciating pain in her stomach, began vomiting violently and saw bright red fluid leaking into the toilet from her back passage.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (17.11.16), she said: "At about 4 o’clock in the morning, I had the worst pain ever. The pain just started getting really bad, I was panicking. The pain was that bad that I was vomiting.
"I was seeing black dots and then my mum came to the toilet with me and obviously I was in so much pain that I wasn’t sure what was going on and then when it got to the top of the pain, I felt a release. And I was like, ‘Oh mum, what’s that? I feel better now!’ And she looked just to make sure everything was OK and she saw loads of blood come out. So she started panicking … It was from the back passage."
Although the blood was pouring out of her anus, doctors still rushed the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star up to the maternity suite as they were convinced she could have been going into labour.
She said: "I ended up going to hospital and I’m still waiting for some results. They couldn’t give me too many drugs because I’m pregnant … They took me straight up to the delivery ward because the blood was coming out and the pain was that bad I was vomiting, everything was pushing down there so water came out."
Stephanie lost so much blood that doctors warned her that she may need a blood transfusion and, although they’re still trying to diagnose her, they’re almost certain that she’s battling with Colitis.
She explained: "My blood pressure went really really low and then my white blood count was really high. Everything was showing that something was wrong. They think I’ve got Colitis which flares up every now and then but they’re not sure yet, they’re waiting on other results. I’m booked in to have a camera up that way."
While the brunette beauty was in hospital, her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell – who is believed to be the father of her unborn baby – started deleting all the negative posts he’d put online about her.
His actions sparked rumours that he and Stephanie were trying to make amends, but she has admitted that, despite his back-tracking, he hasn’t reached out to her since they split up in May.
When asked if he’s been in contact, she said: "No. Not a word from him. Nothing."
Stephanie – who met Jeremy while taking part in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last January – has certainly been through a tough time since her and the 26-year-old hunk split up but, rather than seeing a therapist, she has started penning her own book ‘Sincere’ as a way of helping her cope .
She said: "I’m writing my own book, which is out next January, called ‘Sincere’ so that’s been like a counselling session in itself. That’s been good to do because it’s helped … I’ve been forced to talk about it."
Colitis is a chronic ongoing and life-long condition in which the colon and rectum become inflamed.
