Stephanie Davis returning to Hollyoaks

Stephanie Davis is "over the moon" about returning to ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 25-year-old actress is re-joining the Channel 4 soap to reprise her role as Sinead O’Connor, two years after the character fled the fictional village with Ste Hay’s (Kieron Richardson) daughter Hannah.
She said: "I’m over the moon to be given this amazing opportunity and so excited to bring feisty Sinead back to ‘Hollyoaks’.
"I can’t wait to see all the cast and crew there, many that I have known for years. I just want to get stuck into learning my first scripts I can’t wait to be on set and hear the 1ST AD shout ‘rolling up’ and be back acting again, which is my passion."
Stephanie will return to screens this autumn, and ‘Hollyoaks’ executive producer Bryan Kirkwood has praised the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star for working hard to "overcome some personal issues".
He said: "I am delighted that Stephanie is returning, she’s a hugely talented actress who has worked hard to overcome some personal issues.
"We welcome her return to ‘Hollyoaks’ to reprise her role as Sinead O’Connor, a brilliant and vibrant character who the audience love.
"Sinead will make a return to the Hutchinsons’ family in autumn, no doubt bringing drama in tow."
Sinead first arrived in Hollyoaks village in September 2010, and went on to marry Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham), but that didn’t work out and she fell pregnant to her gay best friend Ste.
Since departing ‘Hollyoaks’, Stephanie has gone on to appear in ‘CBB’, where she met reality TV star Jeremy McConnell, who she now has a child, 15-month-old Caben, with.
The star hit the bottle after her on/off, turbulent relationship with Jeremy broke down for the final time last year and she has admitted she was feeling "suicidal" following their split.
Stephanie – who was admitted to rehab for her alcohol addiction – "My self-worth was on the floor. Partners with domestic violence, they chip away at you and you kind of nothing and you feel like you’re nothing without that person.
"I didn’t think I would make his first birthday. I was speaking to Robbie – my life coach – and when we spoke, he said, ‘Where do you see yourself?’ And I said, ‘I don’t see myself getting to Christmas.’
"It was really bad and I’ve got a great team around me that helped me but it was sad to think I was feeling that low. I was feeling suicidal."
