Status Quo, The Cribs and The Kills to play Isle of Wight


Status Quo, The Cribs, Ocean Colour Scene, The Kills and Mike and Mechanics have been added to the Isle of Wight Festival 2016 line-up.

It will be a one of the last chances for Status Quo fans to see the band in action following a recent announcement that after 2016 they will be hanging up their electric guitars for good while Mike and the Mechanics’ line-up will include Genesis co-founder Mike Rutherford.

Ocean Colour Scene will be marking the 20th anniversary of their album ‘Moseley Shoals’, by performing it in its entirety and The Kills will play Coachella Festival in the US before making their way to Isle of Wight.

The iconic festival held at Seaclose Park, Newport already has a stellar line-up including, Queen + Adam Lambert, Stereophonics and Faithless who are set to perform between June 9 and June 12.

Iggy Pop will perform on the Main Stage after successfully touring around the world with The Stooges for the last decade and continuing to fly the flag for punk.

And Adam Ant have has vowed to play Adam and The Ants’ seismic album ‘Kings of the Wild Frontier’, which was a number one best-seller for them in 1980 and was awarded Best British Album at the 1982 BRIT Awards.
