Jessica Raine is engaged to ‘Mr Selfridge’ star Tom Goodman-Hill.
The ‘Call the Midwife’ actress is set to tie the knot with her partner – who stars in rival prime time drama about the London department store – after the couple met in 2010 whilst Tom was still married.
In a rare occurance of life immitating art, the 33-year-old met her future fiance when they appeared opposite each other in a play about a troubled husband who is lured away from his wife by a young mistress.
Months after they met, Tom walked out on his wife Kerry and their two teenage children.
Kerry, last night said about the engagement: "I’m aware of it. That’s all I want to say."
Meanwhile, the loved-up pair will be seen on screens tonight (26.07.15) as their respective TV shows go head to head.
The brunette beauty is also due on screens in BBC Two’s new ‘Partners in Crime’ where she plays one half of a married detective couple, opposite David Walliams.
Friends of the couple are excited for their happy news.
A friend of Jessica told The Mail on Sunday: "We are so happy for them. Of course we’ve all joked that when they have children she can deliver her own."
