Stacey Solomon defends Ayda Field’s X Factor role

Stacey Solomon thinks Ayda Field will be a perfect judge on ‘The X Factor’ because she has a lot of "empathy" for the contestants.
The ‘Loose Women’ panelist – who rose to fame on the ITV talent show – is "really excited" about Ayda’s appointment on the panel, alongside her superstar husband Robbie Williams and Stacey quipped Ayda will be able to put "Robbie in his place".
She told Mail Online: "I’m really excited about this. And people should not underestimate Ayda. She is just as qualified as the other judges and she has a lot of experience in the entertainment industry. She has had an acting career and had setbacks and rejection. She has had auditions. She will have a lot of empathy for the people auditioning for the show. Ayda has been there herself and she’s someone who always wants to help other people. On top of that, she’ll be able to put Robbie in his place! The dynamics will be so great between them. She really wants to be there."
Meanwhile, Ayda previously revealed she is looking forward to working "together and against" her husband Robbie on ‘The X Factor’.
She said: "I was surprised and excited. On a professional level I’ve auditioned for years. I know what it’s like to get the job and I know what it’s like to lose the job. I have a huge amount of empathy for the process. Without me, Robbie would be lost. I’m really excited the fact that means we get to work together and against each other, I’m really excited."
