Sophie-Ellis Bextor is set for her biggest headline show to date in Berkshire

Sophie-Ellis Bextor has announced her biggest headline show to date at On The Mount at Wasing.

The disco-pop star is set to bring her Summer Celebration to the Berkshire countryside at the picturesque woodland amphitheatre in West Berkshire, England, on June 26.

The 44-year-old singer will be joined by special guest, Princess Superstar, 52, who like Sophie has had a resurgence after their songs, 2001’s ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ and 2006’s ‘Perfect (Exceeder)’ with Dutch star Mason, respectively, went viral thanks to being played in the movie ‘Saltburn’.

DJ Fat Tony is also set to entertain the crowds.

‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ returned to the UK Top 10 Singles Chart for the first time since its original release 23 years ago, as well as debuting in the US Billboard Top 100.

The song will be re-released on limited edition 7-inch vinyl and CD on Friday (16.02.24).

Sophie said: “It’s been a magical and surreal time for me in the last couple of months, let alone the last few years!

“It’s going to be really special having our own massive celebration at On the Mount at Wasing, tucked away from the world in the middle of the Berkshire countryside.”

On The Mount at Wasing 2024 will also see Crowded House headline on June 17, London electronic duo Jungle will bring their full live band to the woods on June 27, and dance icons Underworld will headline on June 29.

Further acts will be confirmed in due course.

A pre-sale for Sophie’s date takes place on Thursday (15.02.24) at 10am. General sale tickets will be available from 10am on Friday (16.02.24) via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
