The script for the new James Bond film has been leaked by Sony hackers.
Specific details of the eagerly awaited new film ‘Spectre’ had been a closely-guarded secret, however hackers have managed to get their hands on a draft script of the movie, which will see Daniel Craig reprise the role of the secret agent.
A statement on the official 007 website read: "Eon Productions, the producers of the James Bond films, learned this morning that an early version of the screenplay for the new Bond film Spectre is amongst the material stolen and illegally made public by hackers who infiltrated the Sony Pictures Entertainment computer system."
The statement added: "It may not (in whole or in part) be published, reproduced, disseminated or otherwise utilised by anyone who obtains a copy of it."
Last week, leaked emails revealed that the film is already over budget by around $50 million.
The budget for ‘Spectre’ was originally "in the mid $300 millions", but has been reduced to $250 million by the studio.
In a series of emails sent by MGM president Jonathan Glickman, he said: "We recognise that this movie needs to build on the past few films – and there are expectations we must meet for the audience. Still, we must find further cuts.
"This is not about ‘nickel and diming’ the production."
