Sir Paul McCartney is huge fan of Pointless

Sir Paul McCartney is a huge fan of ‘Pointless’.
The former Beatles legend has admitted he’s not fussy when it comes to what he’ll watch on the television when he’s winding down in the evenings but he does enjoy trying to answer the questions on the BBC One quiz show during the weekdays.
Speaking to DIY magazine, he said: "A lot of stuff with me, it just happens to be on… Nancy, my wife, makes fun of me. She says: ‘Paul’ll watch anything.’ And she’s right. I’ll be flicking around and there’ll be a rugby match and I’ll be like: ‘Ah I’ll watch this.’ Or it’ll be ‘Antiques Roadshow’ or it’ll be ‘Pointless’."
However, the 76-year-old rocker has also been getting into teen soap opera ‘Hollyoaks’, which airs in the early evenings on Channel 4, at the moment.
He said: "One of these moments was ‘Hollyoaks’ and there was this red-haired busker standing there playing guitar. I thought, he’s good."
Although he enjoys his quiet time in front of the small screen, Paul has no plans to retire from music any time soon as he "enjoys" his job too much to stop.
When asked about retiring recently, Paul said: "I was talking to – name dropping, clunk – Willie Nelson. I was talking about this whole retiring thing, because you know he’s older than I am even! And he says ‘retire from what?’ and I think that just says it, you know ‘retire from what?’. So no, I love it, I enjoy it."
The ‘Hey Jude’ hitmaker is set to release his brand new studio album ‘Egypt Station’ in September this year – which will mark his first album in five years, following 2013’s ‘New’ – but has a packed summer already with plans to do several "little gigs".
