Simon Gregson to go on diet after go kart defeat

Simon Gregson has gone on a diet after his son beat him a go kart racing.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor admits he usually "doesn’t give a s**t" about losing weight, but he has been inspired to try to shed some pounds after one of his three lads, Alfie, 12, Harry, 10, and three-year-old Henry, defeated him.
He tweeted: "I’ve never wanted to loose wait mainly coz I don’t give a s£:t but my son beat me at go karting tonight so diet here we come. Little bugger (sic)"
Simon recently opened up about battling anxiety, and admitted he has previously been on tablets to deal with the condition, as well as attended therapy.
He wrote: "Anxiety and me, BBC1, apologies ITV. This is real and awful to live with please watch and understand it’s a hidden awful emotion that affects far more than you’d think. BUT treatable and manageable with the right help. Not alone people.
"Tablets work different for different people, mine worked with therapy. However you need to find the right one for you.
"Life is complicated, enjoy, embrace and love each other. (sic)"
The ‘Corrie’ star – who plays Steve McDonald on the ITV soap – recently said if aliens landed on Earth they would be "laughing" at politically correct Britain.
He hit out at the Lincolnshire Fire And Rescue Service axing beloved children’s character Fireman Sam from their adverts and at open days in case it deters women from signing up.
In a Twitter post referencing Fireman Sam’s enforced retirement, he wrote: "The aliens have landed done some Jedi mind shizzle and are basically just sitting back and laughing there antennas off at what crap people moan about. Sod this I’m to andromeda. Sorry shouldn’t have said antennas but they might not have c**ks. (sic)"
