Simon Cowell rushes to help BGT contestant after collapse

Simon Cowell and hosts Ant and Dec rushed on stage to help a contestant who collapsed during his ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ audition.
The young man in his twenties – known only as Luke – was singing Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ with his mother Mary, 52, when he suffered the health scare and judge Simon rushed to the stage, along with paramedics.
An audience member told The Sun: His grandad died that day and combined with the stress of auditions, it really got to him.
"It was incredibly scary. Luke was singing with his mum and suddenly he just fell.
"All of the judges jumped to their feet, and Simon rushed on stage. Luke’s mum was cradling him in her arms.
"They were the last act of the night and Simon thanked the audience for being compassionate."
It later emerged that the man had fainted.
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old singer has been praised for rejecting bids by ‘BGT’ to audition for the show.
Tom ‘Mouse’ Smith, was approached numerous times by producers who have been impressed by his talent but he has no intention of applying for the show.
Sharing a picture of a handwritten note on Twitter, he wrote : "Didn’t know where to sent this, but if someone could get it to Simon Cowell and BGT that would be cool. Thanks Tom x (sic)."
The note read: "Dear Simon [Cowell] and BGT. Thanks for all the phone calls and invitation to your TV talent show.
"Sorry if my first answer wasn’t clear enough but I don’t want to be in this competition. I write and sing songs for other reasons I can’t even put into words. No need to phone me back as now everyone has seen this so I could never come on the show without looking daft. Yours sincerely, Tom ‘Mouse’ Smith."
