Simon Cowell had to judge his namesake on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The media mogul came face-to-face with a singer who shares his famous moniker, although the Geordie hopeful failed to impress the judges with his audition.
The star told him: "You’ve no idea how much I wanted this to be great so I could say at the end of the show: ‘The winner of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is Simon Cowell’.
"I mean, I live for that moment. I never thought I’d say this but, SImon Cowell, it’s a No."
The unlucky contestant admitted sharing his name with the talent show boss has made life tough at times, particularly when people think he’s impersonating the new father.
He said: "I was pulled over by the police because I had a broken light.
"It was a Saturday with ‘The X Factor’ was on. I didn’t have any ID on me so giving the name Simon Cowell to the police, well, you might as well say anything.
"I was at the side of the road for two hours because they were trying to contact my family to verify who I was. I thought I was going to be arrested."
