Shia LaBeouf wanted to wear a penis cam for 'Nymphomaniac'.
The 27-year-old actor - who plays Jerôme in the risqué drama about a woman's erotic journey from birth to the age of 50 - asked director Lars Von Trier if he could put a filming device on his manhood while shooting the sex scenes to give viewers the "full experience".
An insider told the New York Post newspaper: "Shia had wanted Von Trier to put a camera on his penis while filming, so that audiences could have the full experience."
However, the cheeky close-up would have been too much for the audience and his co-stars, so the idea was scrapped.
Meanwhile, it is believed the star's recent antics - including showing up to the film's premiere wearing a paper bag over his head and pulling his own tooth out to get into his role for 'Fury' - could be costing him potential parts in upcoming movies.
However, insiders insist his erratic behaviour is all part of a "performance art" hoax.
The source said: "Everyone who knows Shia is in on the joke. It's all part of an act."
Shia launched in his own free week-long art show titled '#IAmSorry' at the Cohen Gallery on Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles, yesterday (11.02.14), where he sat in silence with his famous paper bag with the words 'I Am Not Famous Anymore' on his head.

Seth Rogen wants to educate young people about Alzheimer's disease.
The '50/50' actor and spouse Lauren Miller's organisation Hilarity For Charity (HFC) - which aims to use the power of laughter to bring attention to the degenerative disease - have now set up a collegiate scheme called HFC U, which encourages students to throw their own HFC event to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Association.
Seth said: "Alzheimer's sucks. That's the honest truth but a truth that can't be ignored. We [HFC] aim to communicate to a younger generation about the disease and help provide the proper tools and support they may need."
Lauren - whose mother has Alzheimer's - is "excited" to see what the students come up with.
She added: "This disease is something that my family is far more familiar with than we'd like. But, like Seth said, it's something that shouldn't be ignored. HFC is here to shed light on it in a fun and one-of-a-kind way. We're excited to see what each of these campuses and student organisations have up their sleeves!"
As an incentive, the university which raises the most money between now and April 11 will win a special advance screening and Q&A session of 'Neighbors', Seth's forthcoming comedy, which also stars Zac Efron and Rose Byrne.

Mitch Winehouse doesn't blame Amy Winehouse's ex-husband for her death.
The showbiz patriarch insists he wishes Blake Fielder-Civil - who was married to the late singer from 2007 to 2009 and has admitted introducing her to heroin - no ill will and hopes he is doing well in his life.
He said: "I haven't heard anything from Blake, I don't know what he's doing, I know he wasn't well a few months ago. I don't blame him for Amy's passing, I wish him well."
Since Amy's death from accidental alcohol poisoning in July 2011, Mitch has established the Amy Winehouse Foundation and would like to enlist Blake to work for the organisation, which trains recovering addicts to go into schools and speak of their experiences.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Blake is the kind of person who we send into schools to talk to kids about the dangers of drugs. He has a story to tell and he could help many hundreds of young people through his story.
"Blake could pay back something to society by going to talk to kids and doing the kind of work we do. If he wants to do that we will make it happen.
"Who better to tell that story than Blake? It would be incredibly powerful."
Although Mitch admits life is still difficult without Amy, the charity helps him and his family cope with their grief.
He added: "We are channelling our grief into positivity. If we didn't have the foundation I don't know what we would do to be honest. From a selfish point of view the foundation, though it does help many thousands of people now, helps us too.
"To go and work with young kids who are homeless and we are feeding and helping them. It is wonderful and extremely rewarding.
"Any parent will tell you that you never really get over it. We are in recovery - like an addict."

Rihanna claims she was "effectively bankrupt" in 2009.
The 'Only Girl in the World' hitmaker blames her accountants' poor decision making for her fortune dwindling away from $11 million in cash at the beginning of the year to $2 million several months later.
In documents filed in her gross mismanagement case against the accountancy firm, Berdon LLP, Rihanna claims they gave her the go-ahead to buy a house priced between $7 and $7.5 million, which she did - and later sold for a $2 million loss.
To further add to her financial woes that year, the singer's expenses "doubled", TMZ reports.
In the lawsuit, Rihanna also claimed her 2009 'Last Girl on Earth' tour was losing money but she was never warned of this by the accountants.
Berdon previously claimed Rihanna's own "financial action or inaction" or those of people working for her caused her to lose money, not their decision-making.
They also dismissed the 'Diamonds' star's previous objection she paid an "above-average" commission of 22 per cent as something she had signed off on herself.
The 25-year-old star is now worth an estimated $43 million.

Orlando Bloom was seen "getting cosy" with a brunette at a party last week.
The 'Lord of the Rings' actor - who has been romantically linked with actresses Margot Robbie, Nora Arnezeder and Condola Rashad since splitting from wife Miranda Kerr last October - was with a group of friends at New York's Bodega Negra but only had eyes for one female member of the group.
An onlooker told the New York Post newspaper: "Orlando was with friends, but was focused on one American girl, a brunette.
"He was getting cosy with her. He had his hand on her leg, and she was whispering in his ear while they were looking at pictures of his son on his phone."
The 37-year-old actor - who has three-year-old son Flynn with Miranda - was later spotted dancing, though tried to go unnoticed in a large fedora hat.
The source added: "He was breaking it down dancing."
Orlando was also overheard telling pals he is planning to move out of his apartment in trendy Tribeca.
Following their separation after three years of marriage, Orlando and Miranda - who is rumoured to have started dating Australian businessman James Packer - have pledged to remain friends for the sake of their son.

Julia Roberts' half-sister left a "ranting" note which reportedly claimed the actress "drove her" to suicide.
Nancy Motes - who had a difficult relationship with the Oscar-winning star - was found dead on Sunday (09.02.14) and insiders investigating her passing say she "definitely" took her own life.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper:
"It was definitely a suicide. She left a five-page suicide letter. The EMT found it.
"There were three pages of rantings that her sister drove her to do this. There was one page to her mom, telling her how much she loved her, and one page apologising to [her fiancé John Dilbeck]."
Nancy - the daughter of Julia's mother, Betty Lou, and stepfather, Michael Motes - was found by her fiance in the bathtub of a Los Angeles' house she was pet-sitting at and her body may have lain undiscovered for up to 12 hours.
The source added: "It looks like a pill overdose."
Before her death, Nancy made a series of tweets attacking her famous relative, who she fell out with last summer after giving a tell-all interview.
In one post last month, she wrote: "So my 'sister' said that with all her friends & fans she doesn't need any more love. Just so you all know 'America's Sweetheart' is a B***h!!'(sic)"
And a later tweet read: "Do you want to be a fan of someone so cruel? She's not even that good of an actress. Happy you totally F***ed with me? (sic)"
The messages have now been removed from the social networking site.
Coroner's spokesman Ed Winter confirmed there was a suicide note found but said he didn't believe it ran to eight pages.
An autopsy was completed yesterday (11.02.14), but the cause of death has been deferred until additional toxicology tests are carried out.

Dianna Agron has reportedly split from her boyfriend.
The former 'Glee' actress has been romantically linked to Australian restaurateur Nick Mathers since August last year, but it is believed the blonde beauty "dumped him a month ago", according to E! news.
It is not yet known why the 27-year-old star - who has dated Alex Pettyfer and Sebastian Stan in the past - called time on her brief romance, but it is thought their clashing schedules played a part in their split.
Dianna is currently busy filming for her flick 'Zipper' in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, while Nick has had his hands tied up in his restaurants in New York, Los Angeles and Australia.
When the pair first started dating last summer, a source said their relationship was getting serious quite quickly.
An insider said last September: "It's pretty new, but it's serious. Nick [Mathers] is amazing, from Australia. [He's an] incredible designer [and has] great restaurants like Ruby's Burgers in Australia and NYC, Goldie's and Eveleigh here in LA. He's a really super sweet, lovely guy."

Louis Tomlinson's mother has given birth to twins.
The One Direction singer and his family are celebrating after his mother Johanna Poulston, 40, welcomed son Ernest and daughter Doris into the world on Monday (10.02.14).
The 22-year-old heartthrob, who also has four sisters, Lottie and Felicite, and another set of twins, Phoebe and Daisy, rushed to be with his family after the new babies were born prematurely at Barnsley Hospital in South Yorkshire.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Louis is over the moon. He met Ernest and Doris and fell in love with them.
"Family is massively important to him so he was made up that he was not abroad and was able to meet them so soon after they were born. His sisters mean the world to him so he's delighted to have two more siblings to spoil."
The new babies were delivered close to Louis' home town of Doncaster and Johanna and her son and daughter are said to be healthy and doing well.
A spokesman for Louis also said: "Daniel and Johanna are pleased to welcome twins -- a boy Ernest Rupert Atholl Deakin, 5 lbs 12oz, and a girl Doris Poppet Deakin, 4lbs 11oz.
"Daniel and Johanna would like to thank Barnsley Hospital, their special care unit, the Embrace team and Jessops special care unit. All the family are delighted."
Johanna has been with the twins' father, Daniel Deakin, 30, for two years after she split from Louis' dad Mark Tomlinson when he auditioned for 'The X Factor' in 2010.
Johanna and Daniel got engaged in March last year but are yet to set a date for the wedding.
Meanwhile, Louis and his One Direction bandmates - Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles - are on a three-month break after a hectic touring schedule but are set to appear at the BRIT Awards in London next week.

Simon Cowell insists he will never change nappies.
'The X Factor' boss, who is about to become a father for the first time this month, would rather his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 37, change dirty nappies and claims welcoming a son into the world won't affect his life too much.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "I haven't changed a nappy before and I won't. I just can't do it," adding, "I would like to be at the birth ... but a little bit far away."
The 54-year-old star reportedly has a private jet on standby as Lauren is based in New York and Simon is currently in the UK for the new series of 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Talking about impending fatherhood, he said: "It hasn't arrived yet but it is not going to change too much. I got the dogs in first and had a good time with them.
"Lauren knows what my work schedule is so she is cool with that and we will travel a little bit.
"We made the decision to come back to the UK and she wants to live here for a while."
Simon and Manhattan socialite Lauren are reportedly planning on getting married in coming months and their baby is due on February 28.
Speaking at the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions in Hammersmith, London, yesterday (11.02.14), Simon said: "I am keeping my phone on during auditions 100 percent. If it happens I just have to go and dash onto a plane.
"I probably will be nervous when it all happens. I am going to watch 'Father of the Bride' tonight to get used to that."
The music mogul added: "I have got a feeling my child is going to be really naughty."
