Samuel L. Jackson has "no issues" with his stuntman getting injured on set.
The 65-year-old star - who admitted to using a body double "extensively" for his role as Nick Fury in 'Captain America: The Winter Solider' - isn't worried about his stand-in's welfare, claiming it's part of his job to get hurt.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at a press conference for the new blockbuster at London's Dorchester hotel, he said: "I use my stunt man extensively I have no issues with him being hurt that's what he's paid to do.
"He loves it, he's from a stunt family, his father was a stunt man, all of his brothers are stunt men. Before they eat breakfast in the morning their dad kicked them down the stairs, or made them jump out of the window to come down to get their breakfast. So I used Kianti [Elam], God, he worked more than l do sometimes.
"It's way better to see him. You stand there, they throw a punch, you duck out of the way, they fight, you get up and go 'urgh', that's it. Believe me, it's good for you."
The 'Unbreakable' actor even tried to encourage his co-star Scarlett Johansson - who is expecting her first child with her husband Romain Dauriac - to use a double more when filming the action-packed scenes left her "limping."
She asked the BAFTA-winning actor: "Why didn't I learn that from you. After so many movies, every time I come in limping, Sam's like, 'Why don't you let people who are better do that job.' "
Despite suffering from minor injuries on set, Scarlett, 29, insists she'd rather do her own stunts and face the consequences.
She said: "I like to be able to do as much of the stunt work as possible and you take a little bit of a risk with that, but I'd rather that than have to hand off my scenes to the stunt team. As amazing as they are, all the time, I'd rather do some of it and have some battle wounds that way I can compare bruises."

Brandi Glanville has banned her children from appearing on LeAnn Rimes' new TV series.
The country singer and her spouse Eddie Cibrian have signed a deal with VH1 for a semi-reality show, but Mason, 10, and six-year-old Jake - the actor's sons with the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star - won't be appearing, their mother has ruled.
Asked during her recent Podcast One show if the boys will be on the show, Brandi said: "No, no, no, no."
The scripted show, titled 'LeAnn and Eddie', is to be based on the "normal" home life of the couple - who left their respective spouses to embark on a relationship after working together on TV film 'Northern Lights' - as well as dealing with their celebrity status.
Brandi, 41, has had a long-running public feud with 'Spitfire' hitmaker LeAnn, but the pair were thought to have buried the hatchet last year when the singer sent her rival flowers for Mother's Day last May.
And the outspoken reality star previously predicted her acrimonious relationship with LeAnn would drastically improve if the singer got pregnant because it would help her to learn boundaries as a mother and stepmother.
She said: ''Hopefully, they'll have a child of their own and she'll understand better what a proper boundary is for a stepmother and a mother.''

The 'Teen Mom' cast want Farrah Abraham axed from the reunion special.
Producers have attempted to "bring the series back" after it finished two years ago, but the cast of young mothers - which include Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout - fear their former co-star's wild antics since the show will have a negative effect on their children.
A source told Us Weekly: "They don't want their kids on a show where someone's talking about sex toys."
Farrah furthered her fame after the show when she released her own sex tape, with porn star James Deen, and further endorsed her porn career by appearing at X-rated events and posing for racy photo shoots before claiming it had ruined her life.
In a bid to change her image, Farrah released a music video on Monday (17.03.14) for a song called 'Blowin' which she intends to be empowering for women.
Speaking of the track, she said:"I want others to see they don't need to be a follower or conform to what others think or do and let them live their lives to their full potential."
Abraham isn't the only star to have faced controversy, as co-star Amber had a string of legal troubles throughout her time on the show, including arrests for drug possession and domestic abuse.

Professor Green has been banned from driving for 12 months.
The 'Just Be Good to Green' hitmaker - whose real name is Stephen Manderson - appeared in Bromley magistrates court today (20.03.14), where he pleaded guilty to drink-driving, and as well as being banned from getting behind the wheel, he was also ordered to pay £525 fine and costs.
The court heard the rapper got behind the wheel after being robbed of his £40,000 watch on the doorstep of his south east London home on November 3 and feared his wife Millie Mackintosh - who accompanied him to the hearing - was being chased by his attacker.
Prosecutor Samantha Mitchell told the court: "The defendant was spoken to and explained he had been looking for the suspect of his robbery. He had driven his car to look for this person and, during the course of looking for this person, he crashed into a parked van, causing damage."
Police realised he was drunk and told him he would have to provide a sample, but, according to the prosecutor, he was "quite hostile" to them and subsequently arrested, where he was found to have driven with 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Speaking outside the court, Green blasted police for "wasting time".
He said: "I'm upset that it took this long to get to here. I am however happy we came across a judge who was fair and understanding with the circumstances that led to this - unlike other people we've met along the way.
"The irony of being arrested for perverting the course of justice after admitting to the crime I committed all along is that the lesser charge would have been wasting police time.
"The only people wasting police time was the police."
The 30-year-old star may have his ban cut to nine months after agreeing to take a drink-driver rehabilitation course.

Sean Penn has 'baby-proofed' his Malibu home, fuelling speculation his girlfriend Charlize Theron and her son Jackson are moving in.
Aerial photographs of his property in California show a new fence which has been constructed around the swimming pool in the back garden, along with a trampoline which has been brought in, presumably for the little boy.
The 53-year-old actor has been dating Charlize, who adopted two-year-old Jackson in March 2012, for a few months and they spent the New Year together in Hawaii.
The loved-up couple are thought to have also spoken about marriage, although the actress previously said she's not keen on tying the knot with anyone because it has "never something that was important [to me]."
The pair walked their first red carpet together earlier this month the Fame and Philanthropy Post-Oscar Party held after the 2014 Academy Awards.
A source also told E! News they have been "spending night after night together and moving very fast."
They added: "It seems like it's getting serious and that they can't get enough of each other."
Sean divorced second wife Robin Wright in 2010 after 14 years of marriage, with the pair having a daughter Dylan, 23, and a son Hopper, 20.
He was previously married to Madonna for four years in the 1980s, while Charlize, 38, was in a long-term relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend, 41, until 2010.

Lily Collins can't believe she gets invited to showbiz parties.
The 'Mirror, Mirror' actress feels like a "little girl dressing up" when she goes to red carpet events because she forgets how famous she is.
She said: "The Met Ball? Being invited to something like that? Incredible! I still think, Why am I on the list? I still feel like a little girl dressing up and getting to go to a pretty party."
Though Lily's father, musician Phil Collins, meant she grew up around famous people, she insists they never seems like anything out of the ordinary to her.
Speaking to the new edition of Lucky magazine, she said: "I never understood the word 'celebrity'. It was just part of my everyday."
The 24-year-old beauty has three tattoos, and says she has "always loved" body art, so never minds the pain it takes to have a design etched onto her skin.
She said: "I've always loved body art I remember being with my mom on Venice Beach when I was really young, and we walked by this guy on a Harley who was covered in tattoos.
"I was this little British girl, and I went up to him and said, 'Your tattoos are so pretty!' That was probably the last thing he wanted to hear...
"[As for the pain], look, women go through worse things. Waxing hurts more than tattoos. And tattoos are permanent, so if it takes a little pain to get there, that's OK."

President Barack Obama promised to get matching tattoos with his wife and daughters.
The US Commander-in-chief and his spouse Michelle made the pact in the hope of "reducing the cool factor" of body art and discouraging Malia, 15, and Sasha, 12, from wanting to follow the trend.
In an interview airing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' today (20.03.14), he said: "We will reduce the cool factor of any tattoo.
"Michelle and I will be right there and we'll post it so that everybody will be able to see it and we'll say we all got matching tattoos.
"I suspect that would be a pretty good deterrent for both Malia and Sasha."
Earlier this month, Ellen smashed the president's record for Twitter retweets when a 'selfie' she posted of herself and a number of famous guests - including Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep and Lupita Nyong'o - at the Oscars became the most shared post on the social networking site, and the politician mocked her for the "cheap stunt".
As Ellen - who hosted the Academy Awards - tried to apologise for breaking his record, Mr. Obama said: "I heard about that. I thought it was a pretty cheap stunt myself. Getting a bunch of celebrities in the background."
The US leader also confessed to being a big fan of political drama 'House Of Cards', though he insists their life is nothing like the way the White House is depicted on screen.
He said: "You know, I watch 'House of Cards'... I have to tell you, life in Washington is a little more boring than displayed on the screen
"You know the truth of the matter is, if you followed me, most of my day is sitting in a room listening to a bunch of folks in grey suits talking about a whole bunch of stuff that wouldn't make very good television.
"I have to tell you though Ellen, there's not much dancing in the situation room, as a general rule."

Ricky Gervais is a "failed pop star".
The British comic - who released a number of singles in the early 1980s as a member of duo Seona Dancing and has also toured with a band as his 'Office' character David Brent under the name 'Foregone Conclusion' - can be seen singing and dancing in his new movie 'Muppets Most Wanted', and although he isn't the best mover he embraces the opportunity to show off his skills whenever he can, especially the shuffle, known as the "white man overbite".
He told ShortList magazine: "I'm a failed pop star. I always try to sneak it [song and dance] in , whether it's 'The Simpsons', with Elmo, or David Bowie.
"But dancing - wow, that's awkward. I embrace the whole white man overbite - that's what I do anyway."
The 52-year-old funnyman insists other stars including Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Tom Hiddleston and James McAvoy make an appearance in the new 'Muppets' film to show they've got a sense of humour and don't want to portray themselves as serious all the time.
He added: "I think actors and pop stars with a certain image want to go 'I've got a sense of humour. I laugh at myself. Look! I'm not really like that. If I was like that I wouldn't do it!'
"But sometimes they just want to go and have fun.
"If you're Lady Gaga and you have got 30 people doing anything you want, sometimes you want someone to say your hair looks funny.
"I think these people know they live in a strange, rarefied world, so they go 'Look, I laugh, I fall over'. I could be totally wrong."
