Emma Roberts is scared of ghosts.
The 23-year-old actress admits she's worried a spooky figure will creep up on her when she is sleeping, so she makes sure she checks behind every piece of furniture in her bedroom before she settles down for the night.
Speaking on the 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' last night (12.05.14), she said: "Everywhere I go I think is haunted. I'm the person checking under the bed, behind the curtains ten times before I go to bed. I'm very easily scared."
However, Emma has a good trick for keeping the eerie spirits at bay after she took part in a ghost tour of New Orleans, known for it's spooky stories, before shooting the upcoming season of 'American Horror Story: Coven'.
Speaking about the tour, she explained: "They take you around and they basically show you all these places where horrific things have happened and then tell you about all the ghosts and so after the ghost tour, I'm scared to death. "And I said to the woman, who led the ghost tour ... 'What do I do to make sure nothing happens to me, like there are no ghost encounters'. And she was like, 'Well, you have to make an offering when you get home tonight.' ... And I thought she was going to tell me to like cut the head off a chicken and put blood [over me] or something. And she was like, 'OK, I'll tell you the trick. Tequila and salt' ... she said leave it on your kitchen table and tell them it's for them and to leave you alone."
The blonde beauty admits she followed the woman's advice and the ghosts left her alone, unlike her co-stars.
She added: "A couple months went by, and we're shooting the show, and everyone had these horrible ghost things happen to them! I was the only one that didn't."

Alec Baldwin was arrested this morning (13.05.14).
The 56-year-old actor was handcuffed and taken away in a police car after he was caught riding his push bike the wrong way down Fifth Avenue in New York City, before going "ballistic" at the two arresting female officers.
The '30 Rock' star was asked to provide identification following his arrest but after he failed to do so, he was taken into custody at 13th Precinct and given two summons, one for traffic violation and a second for disorderly conduct, according to the MailOnline.
Alec was released from custody shortly afterwards and returned to his apartment in New York to be greeted by a flock of photographers and reporters.
The star had a disgruntled expression on his face as he made his way inside his home, before taking to his Twitter account to share his version of the event.
He tweeted: "Officer Moreno arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave."
Alec's wife Hilaria followed him inside, carrying their eight-month-old daughter Carmen, and shouted at the press.
The actor added: "Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing. (sic)".
Alec also has 18-year-old daughter Ireland from his previous relationship with Kim Basinger.

Solange Knowles reportedly lashed out at Jay Z because he has failed to help boost her career.
The singer, 27, physically attacked her brother-in-law in an elevator at the Met Gala after-party in New York City on Monday night (05.05.14) because the rapper has reneged on repeated promises to work with her in the studio.
A source told the MailOnline: "Solange is so angry because Jay Z promised to give her more help with her career and when she brought it up again the night of the gala, he told her he just didn't have the time to work with her in the studio. He hasn't kept his promise to help her.
"Jay keeps telling her to give him some time and he will sit down and write with her and then get her into the studio but he hasn't done it yet."
Surveillance footage emerged yesterday (12.05.14) of Beyoncé's younger sibling hurtling towards Jay - real name Shawn Carter - in a lift in The Standard Hotel, while the 'XO' hitmaker watched on helplessly in the background.
Prior to the drama, Beyoncé, 32, and Solange were seen dancing up a storm on the dancefloor with supermodel Naomi Campbell, while the Jay, 44 - who has two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with his spouse - "hung back at one of the fireplace areas".
However, it is believed the 'Holy Grail' hitmaker wasn't the only one to receive a telling off from Solange that night as she was reportedly seen yelling at fashion designer Rachel Roy earlier in the evening as well.

Drew Barrymore "couldn't be better" after giving birth to her second child last month.
The 'Whip It!' actress welcomed her second daughter Frankie into the world with her husband Will Kopelman on April 22, and she insists she's feeling happy and healthy.
When asked how she's doing after giving birth, Drew told PEOPLE.com: "Great. I couldn't be better ... I'm really happy. Everything is just as good as it could possibly be."
Meanwhile, the 39-year-old star - who also has 19-month-old daughter Olive with Will - has been thinking ahead for her children and she's adamant they won't pursue a career in acting until they are at least 18 years old because she wants to protect them from potentially damaging things.
She said previously: "I don't like the idea of young girls growing up with social media, because I know how sensitive they are. But there's no going back.
"If you totally shelter your kids, that's not normal, but I don't want mine to have mobile phones until a certain age.
"I will never let my children act. When they're 18, if they want to, but not before."

Solange Knowles has "definitely" lashed out at Jay Z before.
The 27-year-old singer was caught on camera in an elevator at the Met Gala afterparty at New York's Standard Hotel last week attacking her brother-in-law while his wife, her sister Beyonce, looked on and insiders say the couple appeared unfazed by the "tantrum" because it is common for her temper to explode.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Solange has flipped her lid like that before.
"She is genuinely a sweet and nice person but she also keeps s**t real. She can take a small thing and it triggers her.
"This is not the first time this has happened. That's why Bey and Jay were so calm. They are used to this from Solange. It has definitely happened before."
At the end of the evening, Solange and Beyonce left in one car, while Jay Z - whose real name is Shawn Carter - left in another, and insiders say it was typical of the 'Crazy in Love' singer's "calm" nature to try and keep the peace.
A source said: "It is a testament to Beyonce's calm nature how she kept back and played the peacekeeper here. She is so calm and always the peacekeeper."
However, an onlooker at the Met Gala claimed the singer - who has two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with her rapper spouse - didn't seem like herself throughout the evening.
The source said: "She wasn't smiling, was hardly with Jay, she was off with Solange the whole time."

Oscar Pistorius faces being sent for psychological testing "in the interests of justice".
State prosecutor Gerrie Nel argued at the athlete's murder trial in Pretoria today (13.05.14) that his mental health should be examined fully after a forensic psychiatrist gave evidence yesterday (12.05.14) to say he suffers from an anxiety disorder.
If Pistorius is found to suffer from a mental illness, he cannot be held criminally responsible for murdering girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp - who he has maintained he shot in the mistaken belief she was an intruder - and would be found not guilty by reason of "mental illness or intellectual disability", so the prosecutor argued it is important he should be sent for observation and applied to the court for referral.
However, the defence team said the application was premature and had "no merit".
The judge has adjourned the trial to consider the prosecution's request and will announce her decision tomorrow (14.05.14) morning.
Mr. Nel also questioned the fact Dr. Merryl Vorster - who described Pistorius as a "distrusting and guarded" person who is "hyper-vigilant" about security in her testimony - was consulted and called to the stand only after the Paralympian had already given his evidence.
He said: "Can it not be seen as a fallback position.
"The timing of the witness being called and the timing of the consultations is important."

Jennifer Lopez has decided to go vegan.
The 44-year-old singer, who was a vegetarian for a brief period some years ago, has completely changed her diet by removing all animal products in an effort to stay in shape but admits she's missing butter.
The star told New York radio station Z100: "Being vegan, it's basically no diary, no meat, everything is plant based and from the ground. Butter is the one thing I miss!"
The 'I Luh Ya Papi' hitmaker claims she would encourage others to go vegan and cut out meat, eggs, dairy products and other animal-derived ingredients all together, because it makes her feel good.
She said: "You do feel better. I do recommend the vegan diet because you wake up and feel great!"
Meanwhile, the singer, who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, loves being an adult and having a family but admits she still sometimes feels as though she's a young singer.
She explained: "I do love being a woman but I still feel very girlish inside and I have a youthful quality where people think of me as me."
Vegans often live on a diet of grains, beans, legumes, vegetables and fruits and Jennifer can also indulge in vegan hot dogs, ice cream, cheese and vegan mayonnaise.
Earlier this year Beyonce and Jay Z decided also decided to go vegan for 22 days, although Jennifer seems to be sticking to her diet longterm.
