Jessica Simpson has been "every size on the planet."
The Weight Watchers spokesperson says she has "never been happier" after losing 60 lbs. following the birth of her second child, Ace, last June, but believes her fluctuating weight has helped make her clothing line a huge success.
Speaking at the Forbes Women's Summit in New York City, the 33-year-old star said: "I think my brand has surpassed my name and my celebrity.
"I think I understand women. I've been every size on the planet, and I think beyond New York and LA."
Jessica has no regrets about gaining weight but was upset about comments from her critics, according to WWD magazine.
She said: "I look at brushing that stuff off. That's not to say it didn't make me cry. I try not to look at it and listen to it.
She added: "I fluctuate, I'm a woman. I feel like we all need to enjoy life. If I'm five pounds heavier or 50 pounds heavier or five pounds lighter, I don't think that should define who you are."
The blonde beauty, who is set to marry her fiancé, Eric Johnson, in Santa Barbara, California in July, with whom she also has two-year-old daughter Maxwell, admits her weight loss journey has taught her a lot.
She said: "Tune out the world and tune into you.
"I don't let others define me for me."

Kim Kardashian is still furious with Joan Rivers for calling her daughter "ugly."
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, who is set to wed rapper Kanye West in a $400,000 ceremony at Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy on May 24, and her younger sister Khloé Kardashian reportedly refused to sit beside the 'Fashion Police' host at the NBC Upfronts event in New York City on Thursday night (15.05.14) because they are fed up of her mocking their family, including 11-month-old North, on the E! series.
A source told UsMagazine.com: "Khloé and Kim were seated next to Joan Rivers, but they had them move her.
"Kim and Khloe both don't want drama and can't fake it anymore with Joan, so they asked the staff to keep them separate.
"Apparently it was a hard task because two other people have issues with her and also asked to be seated away from her. It was a juggling act keeping Joan away from everyone!"
Joan made the remarks about baby North in January and also said the tot was "desperately" in need of a wax.
Despite her issues with the comedienne, Kim, 33, has never confronted the 80-year-old star for her comments.
The insider said the duo also came face-to-face backstage at Jimmy Fallon's late night talk show recently, but the reality TV star "was polite and didn't say anything. They even took a pic together when Joan asked."
Joan has also spoofed the brunette beauty's sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J and made fun of her stepfather, Bruce Jenner, for his appearance on 'Fashion Police' in the past.

Jennifer Lopez hates working out.
The 'I Luh Ya Papi' hitmaker, who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme, recently embraced a vegan diet and feels healthier, but admits she struggles to stay motivated in the gym.
She said: "I do have a healthy breakfast and try to fit in a workout when I can. I'm in fight mode right now because I have so many shows coming up, I'm trying to be healthy."
But she added: "It's so not easy. I hate it just like anybody else. It's not fun. You do it because you want to feel good and it does make you feel good after you do it."
The 44-year-old star claims she doesn't feel under pressure to go under the knife because she feels young at heart.
She told Angie Martinez on New York's Hot 97 radio station: "I do feel like people relate to me because they don't think about she's old or she's young, she's just Jennifer. That's what I love, that I've been able to let you see my spirit and not just my shell on the outside.
"Yes, I try to keep myself up, I try to work out, like any girl I want to look my best, but at the end of the day, it's my heart, it's my spirit that I hope shines through."
The 'American Idol' judge is very proud of her curves and has recorded a new track called 'Big Booty' for her upcoming album, 'A.K.A.'
She said: "It's a great song, it's a fun song and it's about owning everything about you and embracing who you are."

Paul McCartney has teamed up with a robot for his futuristic new music video.
The 71-year-old rocker, whose previous videos have featured cameos from many celebrities, including Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Kate Moss, Jude Law, Tom Ford, Sean Penn and Natalie Portman, revealed the idea for the sci-fi video for his new track 'Appreciate,' which sees him interacting with an android called Newman, came to him in a dream.
He said: "I woke up one morning with an image in my head of me standing with a large robot. I thought it might be something that could be used for the cover of my album 'New' but instead the idea turned out to be for my music video for 'Appreciate'. Together with the people who had done the puppetry for the worldwide hit 'War Horse' we developed the robot who became Newman."
Directed by Andre Chocron, the 'Night at the Museum'-style video sees Newman patrolling a museum filled with humans, including an exhibit of Paul sitting on a stool holding his iconic hofner bass guitar.
The robot is astonished when the former The Beatles star starts to come to life as the song begins and he eventually reaches through a force field to pull Paul out of the showcase, causing all the other exhibitions to come to life too.
The video was premiered exclusively in Japan this week where Paul and his band are currently on a sold-out tour.
The robot is also set to make an appearance on stage during some of their performances.

Kanye West's daughter was conceived in Florence.
The 'Bound 2' hitmaker and his fiancee Kim Kardashian - who have 10-month-old daughter North together - are expected to marry in Italy later this month, and the rapper has revealed the city will always be special to him and the reality TV star.
He said: "I adore Florence. I love Italy and the Italian lifestyle. To tell you the truth, I already came to the banks of the Arno [river] with Kim last year, just the two of us, incognito.
"I think that our daughter North was conceived here among the Renaissance masterpieces. It was our first honeymoon. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world--for me the most beautiful in Europe."
The 36-year-old star is a "romantic" partner and says his family will always come first.
In an interview with Florence's La Nazione newspaper, he said: "[I'm] very happy. I am a romantic: for Mother's Day I gave Kim a wall of flowers. Family is everything for me, the antidote to the pressure of fame. Family and creativity relax me. I am happy to create for my family."
Kanye credits Kim as his muse and says they "consult" one another on their wardrobes.
He said: "I consult her on elegance and what I wear. And she does the same for me. Today as a musician I like to dress in a less showy way than in the past."
While spending time in Florence, the 'Yeezus' star has been studying with fashion designer Ermanno Scervino and making new music.
He said: "I am composing a whole album, 'Made in Florence'."

Shailene Woodley keeps "almost" everything she owns in one suitcase.
The 'Divergent' actress decided her life would be "easier" if she gave up her Los Angeles home - which her grandma now lives in - and so she takes all her belongings with her wherever she goes.
She said: "Almost everything. I have some kitchen items that my grandma is using. But other than that, yeah, everything that I own and use is in a carry-on suitcase. I figure if I only own a few things and it gets lost, then I would get nothing.
"I was only home for 15 days last year and I got home and I was like, 'I don't want to be alone. I want to be with my friends and family.'
"So, I got rid of everything just so I could have one suitcase that would be easy to transport between houses and just kind of couch surf for a few months. But it's so refreshing and it takes so much stress away when you're like, 'Ugh, I only have one pair of jeans to wash.' It's so nice."
Instead, the 22-year-old star splits her time between friends' houses.
Asked by talk show host Jimmy Kimmel where she lives, she said:
"Literally on friends' couches.
"I was only here in L.A. for two months, so when you're home you kind of want to soak up faces and places...And then I leave again."
Shailene previously revealed she doesn't own a mobile phone, but says she has now been forced to have a communications device for work reasons.
She said: "I do have a phone right now because we've been doing so much press and they were like, 'Shai, we need to be able to get ahold of you, so here's a temporary phone and we've taped the number to the back of it so you won't forget it.' It's kind of hilarious."

Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton surprised Barbara Walters on her final episode of 'The View'.
The veteran American broadcaster will retire today (16.05.14) at the age of 84 and she was joined by a host of A-list stars, including Michael Douglas, who helped bid farewell to the star at the taping of her last episode yesterday (15.05.14).
Barbara struggled to hold back the tears as Oprah, 55, brought out 25 female news anchors - including Katie Couric and Diane Sawyer - who have all been inspired by her six-decade career.
She told ABC News: "I was teary. But I wasn't going to cry because I was really very happy."
Barbara, who created 'The View' in 1997, said her final show was the perfect ending to her TV career.
She added: "There's no such thing as perfect but I can't think of anything that was lacking. It was unexpected! I did not expect Hillary Clinton to show up. I did not expect all of these women in broadcasting to be there. They all had to take time out of their day. I did not expect Oprah Winfrey to leave Chicago, with everything she has to do and come here."
The TV veteran refused to say goodbye to her viewers as she signed off her final episode, instead leaving her speech open-ended.
She said: "Thank you, thank you. But who knows what the future brings? Instead of goodbye, [let's] say, I'll be in touch. See you later."
