Ed Sheeran likes "stalking" people on Instagram.
The 23-year-old singer - who has 9.63 million Twitter followers and 1.6 million followers on Instagram - enjoys using social media but only follows his manager on the picture-sharing website as he hates having his news feeds cluttered, though he can't resist peeking into other people's lives via the site.
He told E! News: "I like going to Instagram and, like, stalking, but I don't like going to Instagram and having everything there.
"Twitter's the worst because I followed so many people back in the day just to be polite all they do is retweet compliments...It's just all retweets!"
Ed admitted he only followed his manager to increase his own number of followers.
He added in an interview with E! News: "I only follow him because you have to follow someone to get followers.
"I didn't follow anyone and I was stuck on, like, 1.3 million...then I started following Stuart and it started going up again."
The 'Sing' hitmaker - who counts Taylor Swift, Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston among his famous friends - loves going out in Hollywood because he gets to "make stories" he will be able to tell for years to come.
He said: "In Hollywood I just kind of like to be open and go out and enjoy myself, and make stories.
"You know, make stories that I can tell in 20 years and be like, 'That happened one time, that was pretty fun.' "
But the British star insists not all of his friends are in the public eye.
He added: "I do have school friends as well...I sound like such an industry whore when you say it like that!"

Leonardo DiCaprio has pledged $7 million for ocean conservation.
The 'Wolf of Wall Street' actor spoke at the State Department's Our Ocean Conference in Washington yesterday (17.06.14), to decry "the Wild West on the high seas" and called for moves to curb "plundering the ocean and its vital resources" as he vowed to make a hefty donation from his self-titled foundation for "meaningful conservation projects" over the next two years.
He said: "[I'm] here as a concerned citizen of this planet who believes this is the most important issue of our time.
"What we need is sustained activism and courageous political leadership. We cannot afford to be bystanders in this pre-apocalyptic scenario."
The 39-year-old actor went on to speak of his sadness in the changes he has seen to Australia's Great Barrier Reef in recent years.
He said: "Since my very first dive in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia 20 years ago to the dive I got to do in the very same location just two years ago, I've witnessed environmental devastation firsthand.
"What once had looked like an endless underwater utopia is now riddled with bleached coral reefs and massive dead zones."

Kanye West claims people don't "understand" his "interracial relationship" with Kim Kardashian.
The 37-year-old rapper - who married the reality TV star in Florence, Italy, last month - insists he can cope with the "lashes" he receives in his personal life as he believes much of the criticism stems from ignorance.
Speaking at the Cannes Lions festival, he said: "I don't write self-help books or anything like that....
"You have to be able to take the lashes when people don't understand.
"Two years of people not understanding an interracial relationship, two years of people not understanding the idea of the art world meets the pop world, you have to take the lash and be able to swim in the backlash."
The 'Bound 2' star - who has 12-month-old daughter North with Kim - went on to compare himself with elite boxers Floyd Mayweather and Mohammed Ali in the way he continues to be "bashed" but still strives to be the top of his game.
He said: "A lot of times I think I get a bad rap for saying "I can do this, I can do this.
"It's like we are the creative with teeth, we have the gut feeling that we know that the idea is more important than our personal well-being.
"So a lot of times I will say things that are not for my personal well-being which I think for people to create for their personal well-being is a selfish thing to do and you're creating to make your life better rather than everyone else's life better.
"I get bashed so much but create so much, just know that if you want to be a boxer you're going to get your face beaten constantly but then you may end up being a Mayweather or an Ali at the end of the day."

Victoria Beckham likes to "take the mickey" out of herself.
The singer-turned-designer is famed for her poker face and rarely flashing a smile for the cameras, but she insists she secretly has a great sense of humour and doesn't take herself too seriously.
She told ELLE Singapore magazine: "People are probably surprised that I have a sense of humour. I like to take the mickey out of myself. As much as I take what I do very seriously, I also want to have fun.
"I like to poke fun at myself... And I think that surprises people."
The 40-year-old star - who has sons Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and two-year-old daughter Harper with her husband David Beckham - puts a huge amount of pressure on herself to make her fashion empire a success and says her biggest business motivation is surpassing her own expectations.
She added: "I'm not afraid. I think you can learn from everything. I don't ever think of the negatives, I think of the positives. I'm not competing with anybody else out there; I'm just competing with myself.
"I never went into this to prove anything to anybody, other than myself. I think if you're too afraid of failure then you won't challenge yourself, then you won't move forward. I like to challenge myself."

Lindsay Lohan is house-hunting in London.
The 'Mean Girls' actress - who moved back to New York after her sixth stint in rehab last year - has been enjoying a stint in the UK but has grown tired of moving hotels every few weeks so wants to find a more permanent base.
Insiders claim the 27-year-old star is hoping to stay in the city for at least a year.
Former model and reality TV star Tom Kilbey - who Lindsay is rumoured to be dating - has been on several nights out with the actress in London and says she is a big fan of the local "scene".
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I met Lindsay four years ago through mutual friends when I was working in LA.
"She's actually really down to earth and cool. I think she likes the scene over here."
Meanwhile, the 'Machete' star and her friends - including Tom - were almost thrown out of a party on Monday (16.06.14) for dancing on tables and smoking indoors at Cafe de Paris.
A source at the Moschino LC:M After Party told the Daily Star newspaper: "Lindsay's friends were pounding the Patrón Margaritas, which made them very rowdy.
"She hardly noticed though as she spent most of the evening cosying up to Tom.
"But security weren't pleased when they saw the mayhem LiLo and her pals were causing.
"Especially when they saw that the group were all smoking inside and risking the safety of themselves and others by getting on to the tables.
"However, the organisers pleaded with security not to oust LiLo and her posse because of their bad behaviour."
"No-one wanted the night to turn ugly."

Madonna is having a "fling" with a 26-year-old dancer.
The 55-year-old singer - who split from Brahim Zaibat, 25, six months ago - has been dating dancer and choreographer Timor Steffens since January, but friends of the 'Hung Up' hitmaker insist the romance "isn't serious".
Madonna - who has children Lourdes, 17, Rocco, 13, Mercy, eight, and David, also eight - was first romantically linked with Timor in January and they have been spotted out together several times since, including at the Grammy awards and most recently at a preview of 'Holler If Ya Hear Me' on New York's Broadway this week.
However, despite their string of dates over such a long period of time, the pair are not in a relationship.
A source told E! News: "It's not serious. [It's] just a fling."
The couple met late last year in Switzerland after being introduced at a chateau owned by fashion designer Valentino, a regular retreat for the pop superstar.
The 'Like a Virgin' hitmaker recently revealed her father hates her sexy image.
She said: "I would always say, 'Dad, I'm an artist, I have to express myself. You don't understand ... He's like, 'Do you have to simulate masturbation on the bed? Do you have to?' Yes, dad, I do."
The 'Hung Up' star also joked her dad has "finally" learned to accept her raunchy image.
She added: "I think he's finally come to terms with it. It's only taken 30 years."

David Hasselhoff steam irons his shirts in the shower.
The 61-year-old star has confessed he usually asks his girlfriend Hayley Roberts, 34, to help him smooth the creases out of his smart shirts, so when he was staying in a London hotel while she visited her native Wales, he had to think on his feet.
But the former 'Baywatch' actor admits he was shocked when his steam shower caused firefighters to turn up at his hotel room door.
David exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Someone set the fire alarm off in my hotel and all the lifeguards and firefighters came to my room and then I realised it was me that set off the fire alarm by accident.
"It looked like an episode of 'Baywatch' and the guys were quite taken aback that I was there and I was just petrified that it was actually me.
"And then I got to see quite a lot of people in their dressing gowns as they had to evacuate the hotel, but it was fun."
Quizzed on how he'd managed to set the alarm off, he added: "I was actually steaming my shirts. My shirts were wrinkled and I can't seem to get my girlfriend to go out and buy me a steam iron. She keeps forgetting.
"So I was steaming up my shower and waving my shirts around getting some wrinkles out because I don't like to iron things ... So I made a little steam shower and when I opened the door the steam went through the hotel and set off all the alarms. It was pretty funny."
Meanwhile, the father-of-two is currently taking part in an experiment on social media to see whether people can tell the difference between him and his lookalike, play the game at www.hoffornot.com
