Ja Rule has slammed 50 Cent in his new book and claims the rapper was out to "destroy" him.
The star lashes out at the 'In Da Club' hitmaker in his memoir 'Unruly: The Highs and Lows of Being a Man' after a long-running feud with the star, real name Curtis Jackson, and claimed he was falsely accused by the 'Candy Shop' singer after he was hospitalised with nine gunshot wounds in 2000.
He writes: "When they [the police] asked him who he thought had shot him, it would make sense that 50 would have said, 'Ja Rule, Irv Gotti and Murder Inc.'"
50 later insisted he never cooperated with officers, even when they tried to make a case against Ja Rule's colleagues Irv 'Gotti' Lorenzo and Irv's brother Chris, who were acquitted of laundering drug money through their label, Murder Inc., in 2005.
Ja Rule, 38, claims the case couldn't have been made without the rapper speaking to the police.
According to the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column, he wrote: "He secretly led them through his recordings for the answers they were looking for."
Ja Rule also claimed the pair - who buried the hatchet in 2011 - previously got into a fight in 2000 at a peace summit in Atlanta, Georgia and 50 "was a crazed man on a mission to destroy me."
He wrote: "50 tried to swing on me, but I dipped, then I hit him with the baby Louisville Slugger [a baseball bat].
"Bam! I dropped the bat. I pulled the shirt over his head. I started catching him left, right, uppercut."
50's crew reportedly ran away and Ja Rule also claims he led the charge in the Hit Factory recording studio attack in Midtown later the same year when 50 was stabbed.
Ja Rule, real name Jeffrey Atkins, admits he armed himself with a crutch taken from an injured crew member and marched into the recording studio to take it out on 50.
He said: "I hit him with the crutch. We proceeded to whip his ass. I was putting in my work. 50 was crunched in the corner. I slammed the big Tannoy speaker down on him."
His book 'Unruly: The Highs and Lows of Being a Man' is out next Tuesday (01.07.14).

Lily Allen has split from her manager.
The singer has parted ways with her long-time aide Todd Interland, who has looked after her music career since her debut in 2006.
This comes after Lily slammed her record label for making her release "rubbish" light-hearted pop songs like 'Air Balloon' from her comeback album 'Sheezus' over less commercially-viable tracks like 'Hard Out Here'.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Lily guides her career herself a lot but will need someone new to work with her. Todd had been with her for a long time so it was a blow to lose him.
"She's looking around at the moment for the right person to help her make the correct decisions with her music."
Before finding a new manager, Lily, 29, is heading to Glastonbury festival this weekend, where she will take to the stage before Arcade Fire.
The mother-of-two - who temporarily quit the music industry in 2009 to raise her daughters Ethel, two, and Marnie, 16 months, with her husband Sam Cooper - recently said she felt frustrated by her lack of control over her music career.
She sighed: "I'd like to [release the songs I want], but unfortunately I signed a record deal! I took a mortgage out on myself, that's how it works."

Niall Horan has begged fans to stop throwing objects on stage.
The One Direction heartthrob injured his knee during a gig for their 'Where We Are Tour' in Amsterdam, Holland last night (25.06.14) and took to Twitter after the show to ask the band's over-zealous fans to stop hurling heavy items around during their concerts.
He posted: "Amsterdam thank you for a great couple of shows! Appreciate you coming.
"Also guys! Can you limit what gets thrown on stage please! Coz somethin thrown at me tonight! Hit my knee! A lot of pain from it!
"Never wana sound like I'm complaining! But only having my operation 5 months ago, I still get a bit of pain and I'm very scared about it. (sic)"
Niall - who had major knee surgery in January - was seen limping around the stage in a video of the concert obtained by the Daily Mirror newspaper.
One devastated fan raged: "HE CANT BARELY WALK ITS SO SAD. (sic)"
The Irish singer's bandmates didn't escape unharmed either since poor Harry Styles was hit in the face by an unidentified flying object last night.
The 'Kiss You' hitmaker looked less than impressed when an item was chucked at his head, poking him in the eye, but barely missed a beat as he bounded around alongside Niall, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik.

Ozzy Osbourne felt like a "f***ing laboratory rat" on his family reality show.
The Black Sabbath frontman insists he doesn't regret taking part in 'The Osbournes' with wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly, but is equally relieved the fly-on-the-wall show - which ran from 2002 to 2005 - came to an end when it did.
He said: "It was an experiment. Looking back, I'm glad we did it but I'm glad we jumped off when we did after three years of feeling like a f***ing laboratory rat.
"We went from being a relatively normal family to this f***ing family that was blown apart. It has taken a long time to get back together. The only good thing about it is that Sharon got a career out of it."
Ozzy insists it wasn't his decision to make more than one series of the show and he only went along with it to keep his family happy.
He said: "Sharon would say, 'Do you want to do another season?' and I'd go along with it because they're family. At the end of it, I was f***ing wiped out, my whole family was disintegrating.
"My wife was in bed for nine months battling colon cancer, my kids were all in rehab, I was f***ing dying. I just wanted to get my rock 'n' roll life back."
And the 65-year-old rocker admits he has never even seen an episode of the programme.
He told Time Out magazine: "I never watched an episode of 'The Osbournes', I don't like to see myself on TV. That's why when Sharon says so-and-so want to do a pilot for another TV show, I say, 'Sharon I'm a rock 'n' roller. I didn't join a band in 1968 to be a f***ing weather reporter on the f***ing six o'clock news. I don't want to know. Leave me out of it."

Lorde thinks Taylor Swift is an "incredible role model".
The 17-year-old star has praised her singer pal for setting a good example for young girls through her music and thinks they are close because they both understand the music business.
She explained: "I think there are artists who are really incredible role models and that's something I admire. I feel like Taylor is a really good role model and I think that the girls who listen to her music are so devoted to her, and I think what she's saying is pretty cool. It's empowering.
"If we have the same work problems, we know each other's lives better. It's always good befriending people who do a similar thing."
Before they became friends, the 'Royals' hitmaker criticised Taylor, 24, for being "perfect and unattainable" but Lorde says Taylor wasn't offended by her comment.
She revealed: "She was like, 'It's fine, if all you've done is call someone perfect it's not a bad thing.' "
Lorde also hit out at Taylor's best friend Selena Gomez, 21, over her sexually suggestive song 'Come and Get It', and the New Zealand-born star admits she has learned her lesson from the media storm her remarks created.
She said: "I feel weird talking about it because I stated an opinion and people took that and made it mean something. It's easier never to talk about anyone else's work because they might take it the wrong way."
While Lorde looks up to Taylor as a role model, she is reluctant to be considered one herself and hopes her fans realise she's not perfect.
The singer elaborated: "I'm probably going to screw up at some point - probably soon - and people are going to say, 'You're not a good role model.' But I figure, I'm 17 and I'm very much perfect. I'm figuring this out too and I think people are aware of that."

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott "are moving in the right direction."
The couple, who documented their battle to save their seven-year-old marriage on their latest reality TV series, 'True Tori,' after Dean checked into rehab following a one-night stand with Emily Goodhand in Toronto, Canada in December, are still working on their relationship, but are much happier.
The 41-year-old actress told 'Good Morning America' on Wednesday (25.06.14): "Things are getting better. You know, life is always a work in progress and our relationship is one as well, but we are moving in the right direction."

The former 'Beverly Hills 90210' star later echoed her comments on 'The View,' saying: "I feel like all relationships are a work in progress and we're working on it right now. We're trying."

Justin Bieber is being sued for allegedly crashing into a pedestrian last year.
The 20-year-old singer, who was cleared of hit-and-run charges in connection with the same incident last summer, has been named in a new lawsuit by photographer Walter Lee, who claims he suffered severe injuries after being struck by the 'Baby' hitmaker's white Ferrari on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles last June.
According to court documents, obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, the plaintiff is seeking damages to cover his medical bills and says he may never fully recover from the injuries, including lacerations, haematomas, deep abrasions on his left leg and deep venous thrombosis.
Police officers investigated the incident last July after the photographer claimed he was caught between Justin's Ferrari and a parked vehicle, as he took pictures of the singer leaving the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, and accused Justin of driving away from the scene.
The Canadian star was questioned, but released without charge and a law enforcement source previously said: "Prosecutors say there was insufficient evidence to prove that [Justin] knowingly left the scene of a collision in which someone was injured."
News of the civil case comes just days after Justin, who recently rekindled his relationship with Selena Gomez, was involved in a minor collision in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (24.06.14).
The singer was travelling in an Escalade when it was hit by a BMW that was pulling out of a parking garage, but no one was injured.
An eyewitness said that the 'Confident' hitmaker - who wasn't behind the wheel - was unfazed and almost immediately jumped out of the SVU and into another vehicle to continue his journey.

Kesha is still learning to accept her "beautiful imperfections."
The 'Timber' hitmaker - who sought treatment in a rehab facility near Chicago for an eating disorder earlier this year - says admitting she had a problem is "the scariest thing" she's ever done, but she no longer cares what anyone else thinks about her.
The 27-year-old star told Teen Vogue magazine: "My eating disorder is something I've been struggling with for a while. People will make up stories, but I went to rehab for an eating disorder--nothing more and nothing less. I decided to face my problem head-on."
She added: "My whole message is to love who you are and accept all your beautiful imperfections. When I felt I was slipping into unloving territory with myself, I knew I had to listen to my own advice and correct it...I felt I needed to get help, not only for myself but also for my fans. My worst fear in life is to be fake."
The 'Tik Tok' hitmaker also believes being in the spotlight intensified her insecurities and made her feel more self-conscious about her weight.
She said: "It really messed with my head, and I realised I couldn't do it by myself. The decision to take control of it is the scariest thing I've ever done, and this is coming from someone who dives with sharks and jumps out of airplanes for fun."
The singer, who spent two months in rehab, wrote 14 songs while she was there and feels back in control again.
She said: "The whole process has made me so much stronger and ready to take my life by the horns and make a record that I'm going to be proud of and not care what anybody else thinks!"

Jessica Simpson will reportedly walk down the aisle in a pale pink wedding dress.
The 33-year-old star is set to marry fiancé Eric Johnson in Santa Barbara, California early next month and has decided to wear a custom-made Marchesa gown with a modern twist.
A source told In Touch magazine that it took Jessica more than a year to decide on the dress.
A spokesperson for the designer hinted the speculation is true, but told E! News: "We are unable to comment on this matter at this time."
Earlier this year, Jessica said: "I already know the silhouette that I want."
Meanwhile, the couple, who have a two-year-old daughter, Maxwell, and a 12-month-old son, Ace, together are planning to treat their guests to a huge barbecue spread at their lavish reception.
A source previously revealed that Jessica, who was previously married to Nick Lachey, and Eric have booked the 78-acre Bacara Resort & Spa in the beach-side town for their nuptials, but the blonde beauty is still undecided as to whether she actually wants to get married there.
An insider recently said: "They've booked it for now. But Jess keeps going back and forth on locales."
The bride's sister Ashlee Simpson has said she is thrilled with the bridesmaid dress she will wear on the big day.
She said: "My dress is really beautiful! It's really, really stunning."
