Kanye West used his wedding speech to talk about how "celebrities have no rights".
The 'Gold Digger' hitmaker gave a 45-minute toast at his nuptials to Kim Kardashian - with who he has 13-month-old daughter North - in Florence, Italy, in May, and says he used the opportunity to explain how he and his new wife want to "fight" for more respect, comparing the way they are treated to "blacks in the '60s".
He explained to America's GQ magazine: "What I talked about in it was the idea of celebrity, and celebrities being treated like blacks were in the '60s, having no rights, and the fact that people can slander your name. I said that in the toast.
"And I had to say this in a position where I, from the art world, am marrying Kim. And how we're going to fight to raise the respect level for celebrities so that my daughter can live a more normal life. She didn't choose to be a celebrity. But she is. So I'm going to fight to make sure she has a better life."
Kanye went on to explain he wants to "fight for the re-education" of what celebrity means and to prove he and the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star are more than just famous faces.
He added: "One of the things that I said at the speech was, anyone that's at this table has had to defend me or Kim or both of us at some point in their life.
"Ask a boxer: 'In the third round, when he hit you from the side on your ear, how did that specifically feel?' You wouldn't ask a boxer that. Because you know they're there to fight. Meaning now you know I'm here to fight. I'm here to fight for the re-education of what celebrity is. To say, 'Yes, we are celebrities, but yes, we're also innovators, we're also inventors, we're also thoughtful.' "

Ray J has been charged with 10 offences over his arrest in May.
The 'I Hit It First' singer - the younger brother of Brandy Norwood - got into an altercation with police at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel after being ordered to leave over his "rowdy" behaviour, and now faces four charges of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery, two counts of vandalism and one of sexual battery, all of which are misdeneamour offences, TMZ reports.
The sexual battery charge brought by the Los Angeles County District Attorney yesterday (21.07.14) is particularly controversial as police at the time insisted no such crime was committed.
The offence relates to the singer brushing up against a woman's butt at the hotel, but police said at the time the contact was incidental, not intentional.
After being asked to leave the hotel, the 33-year-old singer - who is best known for appearing in a sex tape with then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian - refused to go so security made a citizen's arrest.
Law enforcement officers then arrived at the scene and the R&B star allegedly kicked out the back window of the police car and spat in an arresting officer's face as he was being handcuffed.

Zac Efron has been named the hottest hunk of 2014.
The 'Bad Neighbours' actor has topped heat magazine's annual poll, knocking last year's winner, Olympic diver Tom Daley, off the top spot and into second place, while retired soccer star David Beckham retained third place.
The magazine's editor-in-chief Lucie Cave said website users "voted in their thousands and selected Zac Efron as the hottest man alive", explaining he secured top spot in the 101 Hottest Hunks list thanks to his topless appearance in 'Bad Neighbours' and having his shirt ripped off by Rita Ora at the MTV Movie Awards.
McBusted drummer Harry Judd and 'Wolf of Wall Street Star' Leonardo DiCaprio took fourth and fifth place respectively, while the highest new entry was 'Fifty Shades of Grey' hunk Jamie Dornan, who took eighth spot.

Meanwhile, 'Gravity' hunk George Clooney - who announced his engagement to Amal Alamuddin in April - dropped 37 places from last year to number 60, and Britain's Prince Harry slid down eight places to take 32nd spot.

Kelly Rowland has fuelled speculation she is expecting a baby boy.
The 'Kisses Down Low' singer is pregnant with her first child with husband Tim Witherspoon - who she married in May - and was seen browsing for blue onesies at baby supply store Juvenile Shop in Sherman Oaks, California recently.
According to E! News an eye-witness revealed that Kelly was cooing over the tiny boys' clothing and reportedly said: "Oh my god, this is so little ... this is so cute!"
She is also said to have registered for a Ferrari F1 baby walker, a Skip Hop Pronto! changing station, a Nuna travel crib and plenty of post-pregnancy shape wear from Belly Bandit.
While Kelly hasn't confirmed the gender of her baby, her former Destiny's Child bandmate Michelle Williams had previously sparked speculation her friend is having a boy.
She previously said: "I'm so happy that I have another nephew coming to babysit for a few hours and give back to its rightful owners."
And it sounds like Kelly is taking to pregnancy well, as Michelle added: "She just looks so wonderful, I'm so happy for her."

Cher Lloyd wants to confront Louis Walsh after he called her a "a spoilt child".
The 'Sirens' singer - who shot to fame after competing on UK TV talent series 'The X Factor' in 2010 - has hit back at her former show colleague after he labelled her difficult to work with when she appeared on the competition aged 16.
She told Digital Spy: "It's something I find very strange, especially from an older gentleman against a young girl. "But I'm much older and much more experienced, so it would be good to have a conversation with him now.
"To make a comment about someone you worked with two or three years ago who was 16 years old at the time, it was a little bit unnecessary. I must be on his mind. Bless."
Luckily for Louis, 61 - who has appeared as a judge on 'The X Factor' since 2004 - Cher insists she "never" holds a grudge against her critics.
She explained: "It's nice to see that people aren't getting stuck in the past. I feel the same with people I've met... that have really been quite harsh and forceful and a bit mean to me. I've seen them for the person they are now and the way they are treating me. I never hold a grudge.
"It's so much easier for me now because I feel if you're a happy and content person, there is no reason to be on the defensive."
Meanwhile, Cher also admitted she will return to watching the ITV singing competition now her former mentor, Cheryl Cole and show boss, Simon Cowell, have returned to the judging panel.
She said: "Thank God for that. I will be watching this time - I can't say that I was majorly tuned in before.
"I really do feel it has been missing those judges. Their ratings will be up sky-high as soon as those two came back. The show hasn't been the same without Simon and Cheryl."

Rachel McAdams was "in awe" of Lindsay Lohan.
The 35-year-old actress - who appeared with Lindsay in the hit high-school comedy 'Mean Girls' in 2004 - rubbished rumours that the 'Freaky Friday' star was intimidated by her on set and admitted she was impressed by Lindsay's comedic acting ability.
She told Allure magazine: "If anything, I was in awe of her talent.
"I looked at her as this experienced actor, and she had great comedic timing, so natural. It's just funny to hear that because you never know what people are thinking. We all try to act like we've got it together."
Meanwhile, Rachel - who also stars as Ryan Gosling's love-interest Allie Hamilton in the drama 'The Notebook, and in the psychological thriller 'Red Eye' - is hoping that taking on a variety of roles will help her to achieve a "complicated" career.
She explained: "I'm hoping it's going to be complicated and have lots of dead ends and corners and sharp turns. I hope it can't be summed up too easily when I'm done."
'The Notebook's' director, Nick Cassavetes, recently opened up about the difficulties surrounding Ryan, 33 and Rachel's relationship, as they struggled to get along on set.
The 'Crazy Stupid Love' star even asked Nick to find someone else to play his on-screen partner during filming because of his lack of chemistry with her.
However, rather than giving up on the pair - who later dated on-and-off for four years - Nick decided to set up an impromptu therapy session.
He told VH1: "We went into a room with a producer, they started screaming and yelling at each other. I walked out ... I smoked a cigarette and everybody came out like, 'All right let's do this'. And it got better after that, you know? They had it out.
"I think Ryan respected her for standing up for her character and Rachel was happy to get that out in the open."

Ronnie Wood is "up for" having another child.
The 67-year-old rocker - who already has eight grandchildren and three grown up kids Jesse, Tyrone and Leah, from past relationships - and his 36-year-old wife Sally Humphreys have been discussing starting a family of their own and the Rolling Stones guitarist thinks having a baby would keep him young.
Asked if she wants to have children of her own, Sally said: "Yeah, I do. There's no plans but there's no non-plans, if you see what I mean. As time ticks on, I would like children. I don't know if I will but I would like them, and if not then I feel lucky to have little people around me anyway.
"Obviously [Ronnie and I have] spoken about it quite a lot, and you can ask him and his response would be, 'Well, that would be nice.' He's up for it. He's got a lot of friends that are older who have younger children and they all say it's fantastic and it keeps you young. I do think that would be wonderful, but I don't know if it will happen. I hope so."
Sally admits she "wishes" there wasn't such a large age gap between herself and her spouse, but she knew she had to accept the difference if she wanted their relationship to work.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "He's on my level completely. He's a very nice and caring person. Oh God, don't use the word 'nice', it's so boring. He's very funny, kind and affectionate and welcoming.
" I know [the age gap is] there. And I wish it wasn't, but it is. I think I had to say, 'I can't do this because of the age', or I just had to let it go and take it all on board. At no point, years ago, did I say to myself: 'I think I'll go out with someone twice my age', but that is what has happened."

Zoe Saldana had green snot coming out of her nose while shooting 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
The 36-year-old actress went through a gruelling five-hour makeover every day for five months to play green alien Gamora in the new Marvel movie and she says the make-up caused havoc with her daily routine.
She told 'Access Hollywood': "I had green on my pillows and in my [bath] tub. I'd blow my nose and I was like, 'Oh my God, when is this going to stop coming out of my lungs?' It was just crazy."
Zoe even admits she nearly turned down the big budget movie because she was too "impatient" to go through the make-up process.
She added: "That was the canker-sore of the role and it almost made me say no. It was going to be gruelling and I'm very impatient, I can't sit still, so I thought I was going to drive everybody crazy."
After going through a taxing physical transformation each day, Zoe found it difficult to then go on set for a full day of filming as she was already exhausted.
She explained to Asia's TODAY show: "Because it was four to five hours of make-up everyday, by the time you got to set, you felt like you'd worked a full day. I think the first month was the hardest."
