Roger Daltrey wants to open a model railway museum.
The Who frontman has a keen interest in miniature trains and loves working on his own collection in his spare time.
He told Radio 2's Chris Evans: "I hate watching the TV because there's nothing on and I like listening to the radio. The great thing about model railways is you can be doing a bit of woodwork, a bit of painting, a bit of this, a bit of that, and having fun with your mates and you can listen to the radio."
And now Roger, 70, and some pals wish to celebrate the fact that railways were invented in Britain by opening their own international model railway museum in Ashford, Kent, South East England.
He said: "We're trying to start a model railway museum down in Ashford, me and a few pals down in Kent. Britain forgets that we invented the railway and it conquered the world. The railway was the first thing to open up the world in a big way for trade. We invented it, and we should be proud of that. The model making side of it, it's enormous."
According to Kent Online, he visited Ashford Borough Council on Tuesday (22.07.14) to discuss the proposed museum, which he hopes to open at the Klondyke Railway Works site in Ashford's Newtown.
A council spokesman told the website: "Roger Daltrey attended a meeting at Ashford Borough Council with the leader of the council Cllr Gerry Clarkson and chief executive John Bunnett about a proposal to locate an international model railway museum in Ashford. The meeting was attended by the group working on putting together the proposals for this exciting project. This was a preliminary meeting to discuss certain aspects prior to a formal planning application being lodged in the very near future.
"We were delighted to welcome Mr. Daltrey and the other guests, who are all supporting this proposed project, and we had an excellent and productive discussion."

Kelly Osbourne has a "unique insight" into the "male mind".
The 'Fashion Police' host - the daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his manager wife Sharon - admits her friends often see her as one of the guys, and she believes her experiences give her a special perspective when it comes to giving advice on relationships.
She wrote on her blog: "Although I can be very girly, I'm still known amongst my friends as one of the girliest dudes that they know. Growing up on the road, I was surrounded by men, so have a unique insight into the male mind."
Kelly spoke out after revealing a text a friend had received from a male pal which said: "I really wish you'd let me f**k you once if nothing else. I promise you amazing sex."
The 29-year-old star - who was previously engaged to Luke Worrall and Matthew Mossheart - slammed the disrespectful message and urged guys never to send such communications.
She wrote on her blog: "I'm all for being blunt and forward, but word to the wise fellas, talking to a lady like this is not cool and does you no favors. Seriously, is this bloke for real?
"I thought I'd share a little bit of advice with you all. To all you lovely gentlemen out there, DO NOT EVER send text messages like this. And if you do, AT LEAST lie and say you were drunk before apologising for being a complete tw*t. In your words, this is an instant boner killer.(sic)"

LeAnn Rimes' stepchildren have asked about her affair with their father.
The 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' singer embarked on a relationship with her 'Friday Night Lights' co-star Eddie Cibrian while they were both married to other people, and they tried to be as honest as possible with Mason, 11, and seven-year-old Jake - his kids with ex-wife Brandi Glanville -when they brought up the awkward subject.
LeAnn told 'Extra': "The kids actually came to us and asked, very nonchalantly over dinner, and Eddie was very honest with them in a way that you can be with a seven year old and 11 year old.
"[Eddie] is always the first person to say how much he loves me, and they see that in our house, and they feel that, so I think it's important not to lie to children. They understand way more."
The 31-year-old star thinks it is important to be "open" with the boys.
She added: "We both never want them to come back and say, 'You weren't honest with us about this.' They're very open with us, which is cool."
The couple have a new reality show, 'LeAnn & Eddie', and in the trailer for the series, the 41-year-old actor admits their relationship didn't have an ideal start.
He said: "We were both married when we fell in love. Was it the best way to start off? Of course not, but it happened."

Conan O'Brien thinks talk show hosts are treated like "gods" in the US.
The 51-year-old presenter thinks it is fascinating he and his peers attract so much attention Stateside but can go virtually anywhere else unrecognised, likening their situation to the lesser-known alter egos of superheroes.
Speaking to Shortlist magazine, he said: "There's a long tradition of people who are gods in the States, but unknown anywhere else.
"[US tall show host] Johnny Carson used to go to Wimbledon every summer, and he'd talk about how odd it was to walk around without being recognised. He was like Superman without his cape."
While Conan - who began his career writing on 'Saturday Night Live' - is a household name in the US, he admits the changes in technology means he is no longer sure his audience actually tunes in to watch his show.
He said: "When fans tell me they liked something on the show, I never assume they saw it live any more. It's always through YouTube."
'Conan' is to be broadcast on TruTV in the UK at 11pm from August 4.

Jessica Biel will guest-star on the new season of 'New Girl'.
The 32-year-old actress - who shot to fame on TV's 'Seventh Heaven' before going on to launch a movie career - will make a return to the small screen to play "Kat, the hottest scientist in the world" in the Fox sitcom.
According to TV Line, Jessica's character will compete with Zooey Deschanel's Jess Day over a guy in the season four premiere.
Both try to hit on the same man at a wedding and hilarity ensues.
Meanwhile, creator Liz Meriweather recently insisted she has no plans for Zooey's character Jess to reconcile with ex-boyfriend Nick Miller any time soon even though fans are heavily invested in their relationship.
She said: "I love them together and I don't think it's it for them at all. I've never been in a good relationship ... I just found that it's been easier for me to write them as single idiots out in the world trying to get laid and looking for love.
"I had trouble figuring out where the conflict and comedy was coming from with them last season. Admittedly, it's definitely fun to keep them apart for more."
