Terry Jones says Robin Williams was funny on a totally different level.
The Monty Python star has praised his fellow comedy legend for his "humility", and insisted while the late actor - who committed suicide on Monday (11.08.14) - was so talented he could have been justified having "a huge ego" but didn't.
He told The Observer newspaper: "Above all, what I remember about Robin was his humility.
"He could be funny as no one else could be funny - like he had another monumental voice telling him to be funny - let it rip!
"He could have had a huge ego, but he didn't."
Terry joins a number of stars and fans around the world paying tribute to the comic following his death - which is believed to be caused by suicide via asphyxiation - aged 63, including filmmaker Steven Spielberg, who directed him in 'Hook' in 1991.
He said: "Robin was a lightning storm of comic genius and our laughter was the thunder that sustained him. He was a pal and I can't believe he's gone."
Meanwhile, Jackie Chan has admitted despite never working with Robin, he was still saddened by his passing.
He recently explained: "I didn't work with him. I met him for the first time at the Oscars a long time ago. I was standing in the green room and at that time my English was not very good. I see so many people in front of me and suddenly [I hear], 'Jackie Chan! [I'm a] big fan!'
"I didn't respond because it was Robin Williams. [I said], 'I'm a big fan, great to see you.' And then he was gone ... I don't really know him, but I think today I've lost my best friend."

Ed Sheeran will be an usher at Courteney Cox's wedding.
The 23-year-old singer will take on the important role when the raven-haired beauty ties the knot with Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid later this year after the 'Lego House' hitmaker introduced the pair to each other, and Ed is also thought to be in line for the best man job.
A close friend of the former 'Friends' star said: "Not only is Ed great mates with Johnny, he is a close friend of Courteney's.
"Ed said yes immediately when asked. Johnny's other best pal, singer Foy Vance, is also an usher.
"It's between him and Ed for best man -- they'll probably share it."
Courteney, 50, was previously married to David Arquette from 1999 to 2013 but she is said to be happier than ever since meeting 38-year-old musician Johnny.
The pal added to The Sun newspaper: "She has never been happier.
"And even though it's her second marriage, she would like people important to her to be there."
Johnny proposed to Courteney - who has 10-year-old daughter Coco with ex-husband David - in June after just six months of dating.
The 'Don't' hitmaker previously let slip that the couple had moved in together and he is said to have been living in the actress' Malibu home rent-free recently.
It was recently revealed that Courteney is keen to get married in Ireland after falling in love with Ashford Castle in Lough Corrib, Galway, when visiting Johnny's family recently.

Kimberly Wyatt is pregnant.
The former Pussycat Doll and her husband Max Rogers - who married in February - are expecting their first child, a daughter, together after she discovered she was pregnant while the happy couple were on honeymoon in New York.
The 'Got To Dance' judge, who was born in the US, is due in December and she also revealed the pair are planning to bring their little one up in England.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, the 32-year-old singer said: "I love the life Max and I have built here. England is home for me now.
"There is nothing cuter than having a baby growing up with a British accent."
While Kimberly managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps from most people, she admitted her former Pussycat Dolls bandmate Ashley Roberts could tell she was expecting.
She said: "Ashley knew straight away. We are like sisters. Ashley knows everything about me, so she only looked at me and guessed right away.
"When I told her, it was so emotional - she was thrilled for us, which was lovely."
Kimberly and model Max tied the knot in February after two years of dating and the blonde star recently admitted the couple's globe-trotting careers can sometimes put a strain on their relationship.
She said: "It can be difficult - Max is a high-fashion model so today he is on his way back from New York and next week he's off to Spain on another job. He travels all over the world so we have to have a good understanding and we respect each other's careers. We have to work at it."

Miranda Kerr has "a wicked side".
The supermodel has insisted while she likes to "party and have a drink", she knows her limits and tries to make sure she doesn't "take it too far" when she's on a night out.
She told the Sunday Times newspaper's Style magazine: "Of course I have a wicked side. Don't we all? I can go to a party and have a drink or two and dance all night, but I don't feel the need to overdo it.
"Of course I have been [drunk] a few times in my life. I can actually have fun and enjoy myself without having to take it too far. A little party never killed nobody - that's from ['The Great Gatsby'], right?
"I love music, I love dancing. I dance every day in my house, everything from Tiesto to Dr Dre to Chopin."
However, Miranda also explained she enjoys her own quiet time, and revealed she begins everyday with a prayer.
She added: "I like to set the scene before I even get to work with a prayer, and setting the tone with intention.
"Always, before I go to work, I bless this day, let it be illuminated with light and love."

Una Foden has saved her wedding dress for her daughter.
The Saturday's singer has stashed her marital frock away in case her two-year-old daughter Aoife Belle wants to wear it when she gets married in the future.
Speaking to NOW magazine, she said: "I dry-cleaned it and put it back in its box.
"I'd never part with it, but I would personally never wear it again. You never know, Aoife might wear it.
"I used to try on my mother's wedding dress when I was young. I wore it so much, it got destroyed!"
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old beauty admits she enjoyed every minute of her big day when she tied the knot with her husband Ben Foden in 2012 and would love to be able to re-live the romantic nuptials one last time.
Asked if she enjoyed her wedding day, she replied: "Oh, definitely! It was the best day of my life. I can't believe it's two years [ago]! I'd love to re-live it."

Kerry Katona and her fiancé George Kay reportedly had a huge bust-up at their joint hen and stag do.
The couple's pre-wedding party turned into a "disaster" after they had an argument at Hotel Verta in Battersea, London, on Friday (15.08.14), before Kerry allegedly refused to attend the bash on board a luxury cruise.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "The do was an absolute disaster. After the spa treatments Kerry and George had some sort of huge fight... she was crying and was really upset. All the guests got on the boat and were waiting for ages wondering what was going on. Then 45 minutes later they were told the party was being cancelled and to get off."
Kerry's bandmate and bridesmaid Liz McClarnon, 33, attempted settle the situation between the lovers but the 33-year-old star refused to leave her hotel room.
The source explained: "Liz and Karen ­Belton, a friend from home, went to try to talk her down but she refused... She wouldn't leave the room all night."
Meanwhile, the pair - who have four-month-old daughter Dylan-Jorge together - hit the headlines last month after George was detained under the Mental Health Act after taking a concoction of steroids, sleeping pills and alcohol, which resulted in him running around their Oxfordshire home shouting that someone was trying to kill him and feeling like he was being "fried from the inside".
Kerry also has children Molly 13, Lilly Sue, 11, Heidi, seven, and Max, six, from previous relationships.

Khloé Kardashian doesn't "care" French Montana wants to capitalise on their relationship.
The 30-year-old reality TV star isn't bothered that her boyfriend is trying to use their romance to boost his career and insists she's known about it for a while.
Taking to her Twitter account tonight (17.08.14), she wrote: "It's amusing to me that Y'all think I don't see it. I was the first one to see it. I just don't care. (sic)."
However, she posted a cryptic message on her social media account last night (16.08.14), which sparked rumours their romance had hit the rocks.
She tweeted: "And in that moment, everything changed..."
The 29-year-old rapper - who has been dating the brunette beauty since April - admitted in an interview three days ago that romancing the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star was gaining him fans worldwide.
He told Billboard: "I want to capitalise on it. I'll get a fan base from everywhere. I just hope I'll be able to connect with everything that's going on."
Meanwhile, Khloé's family - including her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kim and Kourtney - have reportedly tried to warn her about French's intentions in the past.
A source said previously: "[They] are very sceptical of him. They think he's using Khloé for fame."
Khloé was left heartbroken last year after she ended her four-year marriage with Lamar Odom following rumours he had cheated on her with multiple women and had an addiction to cocaine.
She filed for divorce from him in December but the proceedings are still ongoing.

Professor Green was "astounded" by Kim Kardashian West's beauty when he met her earlier this month.
The 30-year-rapper - who is married to reality TV star Millie Mackintosh - admits he was blown away by the 33-year-old star's stunning looks when he locked eyes on her at Riccardo Tisci's 40th birthday party in Ibiza.
Speaking to radio station KISS FM UK, he said: "Kim's gorgeous in real life, I mean in person I was astounded with her beauty."
However, it wasn't just Kim - who is married to Kanye West - the hunk was pleased to meet as he was over the moon when he was introduced to her mother Kris Jenner, 58, before the wild bash in Spain.
He explained: "Kim's mum as well, she's wicked, we met her in the hotel before the party and then a few hours afterwards. She was having a good time."
Meanwhile, Pro Green - whose real name is Stephen Manderson - announced plans last month to curb his excessive use of Twitter because he's sick of the banality of his online interactions.

Justin Timberlake reportedly received a large order of Nando's chicken after his performance at Virgin Media V Festival last night (16.08.14).
The 'Mirrors' hitmaker appeared to have worked up quite an appetite after he wrapped up his headline slot on the main stage in Chelmsford's Hylands Park as he treated himself and his entourage to a tasty take-out.
An eyewitness, who spotted a car delivering the food to the artists' hospitality area backstage at around 10.30pm, told BANG Showbiz: "The driver of the vehicle was in a hurry to ensure the food was hot, he said he had a 'car full' of Nando's for Justin - and indeed, the back seat of his car was full to the brim with takeaway bags of food."
The 33-year-old singer is an avid fan of the Portuguese-style restaurant chain as he and his crew also tucked in to some peri-peri chicken after his performance at the BRIT Awards last year.
He clearly enjoyed the meaty meal and placed another order with the casual dining group in July last year following his duet with Jay Z at Wireless festival.
Meanwhile, Justin isn't the only artist to gorge on Nando's after a headlining slot as Beyoncé also splashed out on over £1,400 worth of food when she took to the stage at the festival in Essex last year.
