Khloe Kardashian and French Montana have gone on a break.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star and the rapper - who started dating eight months ago - have reportedly split because the 29-year-old musician was said to be too "needy" and "dependent" on her.
A source told Us Weekly: "They are on a break. The relationship got too heavy and Khloe needed to take a step back."
Another insider added: "It grated on her that he became so dependent on her."
News of the couple's reported split comes just one month after French praised Khloe, 30, for being so down to earth.
He said: "That's my Koko. She's a real cool down to earth person. I don't think a lot of people get to meet her to find that out."
But he refused to support speculation that he was only dating her to boost his own profile, which was reportedly the thoughts of Khloe's sister Kim Kardashian West and step-father Bruce Jenner.
He said: "I don't look at it like that. She's the funniest person ever."
In July, French was said to be so smitten with Khloe - who filed for divorce from her husband of four years Lamar Odom in December following allegations he cheated and took drugs - that he was preparing to propose to the brunette beauty.
A source said: "He has started to look at rings. French knows she's the one for him. They've discussed their future and she's said she would marry him.
"If he got his way, French would propose soon, and they would marry by the end of the year. So Khloé is going to try to push her divorce through as soon as possible."

Shia LaBeouf must complete a substance abuse treatment program after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.
The 'Transformers' actor will have to complete three months of substance abuse treatment after a Manhattan judge brokered a deal with the 28-year-old star today (10.09.14) as part of his disorderly conduct case.
According to the New York Daily News, Judge Diana Boyar said: "You must come to court each time the case is on. There must be no new arrests."
If Shia failed to comply with her rules, Diana added that "all bets would be off".
It is likely that the violation will be expunged from his permanent record if he completes the treatment and stays out of trouble for the next six months.
Following the New York court case, the actor's attorney, Robert Gage said: "We appreciate the thoughtfulness of the resolution of the matter by the district attorney's office."
He was originally arrested on June 26, after he disrupted a Broadway performance of 'Caberet' which starred Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams.
At the time, it was reported that Shia had caused a scene during the first act and was later accused of spitting at the police who came to escort him off the property.
The case has now been adjourned to November 12 in accordance with Shia's compliance.

Adrianne Palicki has got engaged.
The 'Friday Night Lights' actress is set to marry her stuntman boyfriend Jackson Spidell after he popped the question to the blonde beauty.
The 31-year-old actress' representative confirmed the news to website Just Jared.
Adrianne met Jackson on the set of the couple's forthcoming film 'John Wick', which also stars Keanu Reeves, Willem Dafoe and Jason Isaacs.
The actress previously admitted she didn't have a certain type of man that she looked for but was keen to find someone who made her laugh.
She said: "I don't really worry about whether a guy's a certain type, as long as there's a connection.
"We're going to grow old, we're going to get fat, but laughter lasts."
Adrianne is best known for her role as Tyra Collette in American football drama series 'Friday Night Lights' from 2006 to 2011 and she starred as Lady Jane in sci-fi movie 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' opposite Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum.
Last month, it was revealed Adrianne had signed up to play Mockingbird in Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' and she later took to Twitter to confirm the news.
She wrote: "So excited to be playing Mockingbird!! Such an honor! (sic)"
Jackson has worked as a stuntman on several movies including 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' this year as well as 'The Expendables 2' and 'TRON: Legacy' in 2012 and 2010 respectively.

Melissa Rivers hosted a private party to honour her mother Joan Rivers after her funeral.
The daughter of the late 'Fashion Police' presenter held a small gathering on Sunday (07.09.14) at Joan's home as a final tribute to her famous mother and she purposefully decorated the apartment with floral arrangements and plenty of candles in her mum's favoured style.
The insider told the New York Post's Page Six: "Melissa presented it just like Joan had done. It will probably be the last time we see the house that way.
"It was like Joan was going to come down the stairs."
Attendees included the socialite Blaine Trump, actor Hugh Jackman, author Nancy Collins, Lady Sharon Sondes and fashion designer Elie Tahari.
The Broadway League honoured the late comedienne on Tuesday (09.09.14) after thousands of fans pressured the theatre to dim their lights out of respect for Joan.
A spokesperson for the Broadway League said: "Joan Rivers loved Broadway and we loved her.
"Due to the outpouring of love and respect for Joan Rivers from our community and from her friends and fans worldwide, the marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in her memory."

Gwen Stefani emailed husband Gavin Rossdale to tell him she was pregnant.
The 'Hollaback Girl' singer - who has been married to the rocker for 12 years - informed her musician beau about the conception of their third child, Apollo, through the internet messaging medium because she thought it was the only viable way due to their busy schedules.
Gavin told SiriusXM radio station: "I got this email on the road, from Gwen, and the title was in capitals, 'LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO ME NOW',
"I was like, 'What is this?' My blood pressure went through the roof. And I opened the email, and it was the pregnancy stick."
The Bush frontman also admitted he knew exactly when Apollo was conceived - during a rare break away from touring.
He joked: "I wasn't home that often, but I did go home for Father's Day ... And that gives Father's Day a new meaning."
Presenter Howard Stern then admitted he was surprised when news of Gwen's pregnancy emerged last year as he thought the couple were "done" having children. Gavin joked: "Me too!".
Gwen, 44, gave birth to Apollo in February adding to their brood of Kingston, eight, and Zuma, six. Gavin also has another child, 25-year-old model Daisy Lowe, from a previous relationship.

The 'Toxic' songstress shocked 'The Tonight Show' viewers who weren't expecting an appearance from the blonde beauty on Tuesday (08.09.14), but it was the host who managed to surprise everyone, after he announced to an unwitting Britney that he had created an online dating profile for her.
The newly single singer broke up with her long-term partner David Lucado in August, but she was in good spirits as presenter Jimmy Fallon joked about the app - which allows users to approve potential dates by flicking through their profile photos - and even took part in a 'Dating Pros and Cons' segment on the show.
When asked if she was excited to be on the dating app, Britney sarcastically said: "Oh yeah, I'm thrilled."
The duo then started their skit, which included references to Britney's pop career and her new lingerie line.
Talking about the pros to dating Britney, Jimmy said: "'I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman' is a great song."
The 32-year-old pop star quipped: "It's also Jimmy Fallon's yearbook quote."
He then praised Britney's new business venture, saying: "Today she released a brand-new sleepwear/lingerie line called, 'The Intimate Britney Spears', and it can be worn by anyone."
The singer then grimaced as she added: "Jimmy's wearing it under his suit right now."

Ed Sheeran is addicted to chocolate bars.
The 'Nina' hitmaker insists he is getting fat because he cannot stop himself from gorging on the calorific treats - and he has even started eating two of the sweet treats a day for his breakfast.
He said: "I'm eating so many chocolate bars, it's crazy.
"It makes me really happy but it's also making me chubby too.
"I mean, I even eat a few bars for my breakfast, it's just so easy to eat."
However, the 23-year-old singer is trying to cut down on his penchant for chocolate.
He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "I really need to stop my obsession."
Ed's latest obsession comes after he revealed earlier this year he doesn't go out much, preferring to stay in and gorge on chocolate while he is watching episodes of reality TV show 'The Only Way is Essex'.
He said: "I tend not to go out much now and I've turned into a bit of a recluse.
"I will sit at home doing nothing, just eating chocolate and watching TOWIE.

Harper Beckham chooses which shoes her father David Beckham should wear with his outfits.
The former footballer has revealed his three-year-old daughter is already following in the footsteps of her fashion designer mother Victoria Beckham by suggesting which items of clothing he should sport on a daily basis.
He said: "She'll come in and she'll want to put my belt on or she'll dress me or she'll say, 'Daddy, wear these shoes with that.' It's amazing."
While the youngster seems to have no problem deciding what the 39-year-old hunk should wear every day, he admits she is not quite as decisive when it comes to her own garments.
Speaking on ITV morning show 'Lorraine', David - who also has sons, Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12 and nine-year-old Cruz with Victoria - said: "That started a year ago, she would get up in the morning and she'd pull her wardrobe open and take a good 20 minutes to decide what to wear and then she'd change her mind. I'm not used to that!
"We've obviously got three boys who will stick on anything and they're happy. Apart from the middle one, Romeo's a bit more selective.
"With Harper she changes her mind all the time. I've heard all little girls are like this. It's amazing to watch."
Harper is not the only Beckham child who has a keen eye for fashion as her older brother Brooklyn went along to support his mother at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 fashion show in New York on Sunday (07.09.14).
The teenager sat alongside dad David in the front row and the former England captain admitted his son had a great time at the event.
He said: "He seemed to enjoy it, he was definitely looking at the clothes and obviously the girls walking around - he loved it.
"He's really proud of what his mum has achieved as well and Victoria is even more proud to have him sat in the front row of the show."

Michael Douglas' son is set to be released early from prison.
Cameron Douglas, 35 - who is currently serving time at Cumberland FCI in Pennsylvannia for possession of crystal meth and cocaine with intent to distribute - is believed to be getting out a year earlier than his expected 2018 release date on March 18 2017, according to prison reports viewed by RadarOnline.com.
Cameron - who has been in jail since 2009 - is the 'Wall Street' star's only child from his first marriage to Diandra Luker and was released from solitary confinement in the same prison earlier this year.
A source told Radar: "It's great news.
"Cam really isolated himself from everyone when he got into meth. He went to a dark place. But his family and friends are standing by him and hope he's serious about his recovery. He still has a chance to have a great life."
Meanwhile, Michael - who turns 70 this month - was reportedly living separately from his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, with whom he has two children Dylan, 14, and Cerys, 11, at the end of last year but the couple have since reconciled.
Catherine, 44, has previously opened up about the strain Michael's throat cancer diagnosis in 2010 had on the couple, describing herself as a "mess" after the her husband was misdiagnosed, "not once, not twice, but three times".
The actress said: "When I'm married to a man who has such a conviction for life ... he fights to make the wrongs right. For the first time he was fighting for his life."
