Kris Jenner: Kids come first

Kris Jenner would do anything for her children.
The showbiz matriarch - who has kids Khloe, Kourtney, Kim and Rob Kardashian with late ex-husband Robert Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner with estranged spouse Bruce Jenner - finds it "hurtful" when her parenting skills are criticised and even though she is also her children's manager, she says being their mother will always come first.
Speaking in a forthcoming episode of 'Beyond Candid With Giuliana', she said: "As hurtful as it might be, no one knows what's going on.
"When someone starts criticising your role and your ability to be a good mom. I prided myself my entire life...my most important role in my life is being a mom. There's nothing I wouldn't do for my kids."
And the 58-year-old star isn't immune to criticism from her own family, admitting she gets "tortured" by her daughters over the way she treats their brother.
She said: "I often get tortured by Kourtney, Kimberley and Khloe about it, and Kendall and Kylie, because they think I baby Rob."
The family shot to fame on reality show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' and Kris admits she has always advised her loved ones not to read what people say about them online, insisting much of what is published is "absolute lies".
She said: "One of the things that I told the kids when we first started was don't get on the internet, don't read the crap out there, there's a lot of haters.
"At some point, you can't control what really ignorant, nasty people are going to say about a family that they really nothing about personally. 99.9% of the stuff that's printed is absolute lies."
Elsewhere in the interview, Kris wept as she spoke about her ex-husband Robert's death, admitting his passing in 2003 was "probably the worst thing that I've ever been through".
She added: "To watch my kids have to suffer through it was horrible, a horrible experience."

George Clooney praises his wedding singer

George Clooney asked an unknown singer to perform at his wedding.
The 'Monuments Men' actor and his new wife, human rights barrister, Amal Alamuddin, decided against asking a well known pop star to sing at their nuptials in Venice, Italy, on Saturday (27.09.14), preferring to shine the spotlight on the daughter of their family friend.
According to People magazine, Nora Sagal - the daughter of Warner Brothers executive David Sagal - performed during the couple's romantic Venetian ceremony and even serenaded them as they took to the dance floor for their first dance.
George shared: "[She] sang 'Always' during the ceremony."
She then sang a cover of the Cole Porter song, 'Why Shouldn't I?' for the first dance.
George and Amal also included a sentimental nod to the actor's parents, Nick and Nina, by starting the ceremony off with an Irving Berlin song, the same song his mother and father danced to at their own wedding.
The Hollywood hunk previously praised Nora as "insanely talented" after asking her to record 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' for the 'Monuments Men' soundtrack.
He said: "[Nora] is just an insanely talented singer. She recorded that song and we just used it."

Jennifer Love Hewitt: Happy husband helped during labour

Jennifer Love Hewitt thinks the key to her labour going smoothly was feeding her husband snacks.
The 'Criminal Minds' actress gave birth to daughter Autumn 10 months ago and says spouse Brian Hallisay was "great" in the delivery room - because she ensured he was well fed and content throughout the long process.
She said: "This is the thing, too, if you are in labour, feed your husband and they are wonderful. He can't be hungry -- you need them!
"If he passed out or something bad happened out of being hangry, then I don't get what I need, which is my rock. I had pudding for him and snack bars ... it was great!"
The 35-year-old star says her husband was so "solid" during her labour, he should consider a new career helping women deliver their babies.
She told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel: "He should be a male doula. I was really worried that I was going to get that face -- 'Mmm, what's happening here?' -- and I'm not good at the faces so I would've been like, 'What does that mean? What does that mean!' But he was just like, 'This is great. I am so proud of you right now. This is awesome, you look beautiful.'
"I was really proud of him. He's that guy anyway, so he's impressive in that way, but he was great."
Autumn has already taken her first steps and her famous mother is nursing many bruises as a result - because she can't get to grips with the temporary gates installed around their home to keep the youngster contained.
She explained: "I have bruises everywhere from falling over [the gates].
"You're holding the baby and you have to lift up and then swing it ... it's impossible!"

Charlie Sheen investigated by police

Charlie Sheen is being investigated for allegedly threatening his dentist with a knife.
The 'Anger Management' actor is under investigation for assault with a deadly weapon following the incident in Los Angeles last Thursday (25.09.14) when he sought treatment for an abscess and reportedly went "insane" when a technician placed a mask over his face to administer nitrous oxide.
According to TMZ, the technician told police the 49-year-old star was flailing his arms and striking her, so she left the room as the actor's security guard entered.
Following a "lot of commotion", Charlie's dentist - who had also been in the room along with an oral surgeon - left the room and told the technician his famous patent had gone after him with a knife, but he was unhurt.
The technician also reported to officers that Charlie's bodyguard had told the dentist the former 'Two and a Half Men' star was "high on rock cocaine".
Police are investigating the claims and Charlie could face charges of possible battery against the technician and felony assault with a deadly weapon for the alleged knife attack on the dentist.
Officers are keen to interview both the actor and the dentist before sending the case to the district attorney's office, who will decide whether or not to prosecute.

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s daughter does Zumba

Jennifer Love Hewitt's 10-month-old daughter goes to Zumba classes.
The 35-year-old actress takes her baby girl Autumn most places with her and the tot joins in when she participates in the dance-based exercise.
Autumn is a big music fan and is already showing a preference for songs by Drake and Pharrell Williams but her favourite song is smash hit collaboration 'Bang Bang' by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
During an appearance on 'The Talk' on Wednesday (01.10.14), Jennifer said: "She likes Drake. She likes salsa, she does Zumba classes with me, I hold her and she gets really into it. She loved Pharrell's 'Happy' for a while but now it's all about 'Bang Bang', when she hears that song she gets so excited. She's got good taste."
The 'Criminal Minds' star also revealed she and her husband Brian Hallisay found it really difficult to pick a name for their daughter, and despite what family and friends thought they didn't pick the seasonal moniker because she was born in November.
Jennifer said: "We both just really loved it, she happened to come early and was born in autumn and everyone was like, 'Oh that's so cute.' I was like, 'No, that's really not why we named her autumn we just really liked the name' but I was really surprised by pregnancy I thought it was going to be everything else that was really hard about pregnancy but then there was this moment where we were both sat there and we were like, 'Oh my god we have to name a human!' It's like for her whole life, unless she goes down and is like, 'No I want to be called Princess Consuela Banana Hammock,' or whatever she's going to change her name to. But we were like, 'She's going to be stuck with this name.' It's a lot of pressure but it was great and we just loved it."

Jordin Sparks wants to be friends with Jason Derulo

Jordin Sparks wants to stay friends with Jason Derulo.
The 24-year-old singer and the 'Talk Dirty' hitmaker recently ended their two-year relationship and the 'No Air' star bares no ill-feeling towards her former boyfriend.
Asked if they will stay friends, she told TMZ: "I hope so, he's super busy, I'm super busy, he's got a tour, I've got movies... I just wish him the best."
Jason - who has admitted to ending the relationship over the phone - recently claimed he had dumped Jordin because of a pressure to get married, but she refused to be drawn into a war of words with the 25-year-old singer.
She said only: "I really don't have a comment on anything that's been said because it's just words."
And though she is happy to be single now, the 'Sparkle' star won't be using dating apps such as Tinder to find a new man.
She exclaimed: "No, no,no,no,no,no. No. Those things are just weird."
Jason recently insisted he and Jordin didn't end on bad terms but admitted they aren't talking to each other right now.
He said: "I wouldn't say [we're on] good terms. I'll be lying if I said that, but it's not a bad situation. There's no bad blood. We didn't end off on a weird way or a negative way. It's not like we're hitting each other up, like, 'Hey, what are you doing today?' "

Zoe Saldana confirms she’s having twins

Zoe Saldana has confirmed she is expecting twins.
The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' actress - who confirmed her pregnancy for the first time last month - has admitted she and husband Marco Perego will be welcoming two babies into the world in the coming months after being quizzed on her plans for Halloween.
Asked if she will be dressing up for the spooky celebration, which takes place on October 31, she rubbed her growing baby bump and told E! News: "I might. I might need three costumes. I might have to make some adjustments, but it would be nice."
Zoe's admission came a few weeks after her friend and 'Crossroads' co-star Britney Spears accidentally let slip she is having twins.
Asked whether she would like to film a sequel to her 2002 film with Zoe, Britney said: "Who knows? That's a very good idea. But she's pregnant with twins right now. So I'm sure she's got a huge future ahead of her."
Asked if she had any advice for the 36-year-old star, the 'Perfume' hitmaker, who has sons Preston, nine, and Jayden James, eight, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, joked: "You're not ready. You don't know what you're in for."
Following a lot of speculation, Zoe acknowledged her pregnancy for the first time last month in an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video in which she nominated her husband to take her place and complete the task by having freezing water poured over his head to raise awareness for the nerve cell disease.
Turning to the side and rubbing her growing baby bump, the 'Avatar' star, who was nominated by director James Gunn, said in a video of the event: "I am accepting James Gunn's challenge to take on the ice bucket challenge.
"Obviously, I can't do it myself so I nominate my husband to take on the challenge and get rinsed with a nice bucket of ice water."

One Direction ‘chatted up’ Rihanna

One Direction "chatted up" Rihanna at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
The 'Little Things' hitmakers - comprising Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik - were delighted to find themselves sitting behind the 'Diamonds' singer at the awards ceremony last year and couldn't resist flirting with the Bajan beauty.
Writing in their new book 'Who We Are', Niall recalled: "We were at the VMAs and Rihanna was sitting in front of us. 'Louis!' I said, 'Look, there's Rihanna!' I was well impressed by that and we ended up chatting her up a bit."
The quintet also enjoyed a "great experience" with actor Johnny Depp when the 'Lone Ranger' star invited them to perform at his house because he had been unable to take his children Lily-Rose, 15, and 12-year-old Jack - who he has with former partner Vanessa Paradis - to one of their shows.
Louis shared: "We'd heard [Johnny Depp's] kids were fans of the band, which was cool.
"Originally he was going to come down to a show with his family, but he had an injury of some kind and was on crutches, so he said, 'I can't make it. So why don't you come down to my house and meet the kids?' We were like 'Er, OK. Let's all pile round Johnny Depp's house. Great!'
"So we did, and that was a great experience."

Dominic Cooper almost blinded Luke Evans

Dominic Cooper almost blinded Luke Evans whilst filming 'Dracula Untold'.
The 36-year-old actor admitted to getting a bit carried away during the fight scenes with his co-star - who plays the titular character - and was left feeling "terrible" when he almost "poked his eye out" with a sword.
In an interview with Shortlist magazine, Dominic said: "I nearly poked Luke's eye out with a sword. We were trying to be careful and not use metal swords, and I think because of movement within the sword it bounced back into his eye - so I don't take full responsibility. It was pretty terrible."
Despite the accident, Dominic enjoyed working on the film and loved playing villain Mehmed because it allowed him to be more daring and "over the top".
He said: "Mehmed is a terrifying man and desperate to take over the world. I love parts like this because you can be daring and they're quite eccentric and over the top. And I'm wearing golden armour."
However, the 'Mamma Mia!' star is unsure anyone will be impressed with his linguistic skills in the move.
He added: "I learnt a lot of Turkish - it'll probably be laughable, but I can pretend."
