Ozzy Osbourne felt "excited" being in New York during 9/11.
The 65-year-old singer was in the Big Apple on September 11, 2001, during a series of terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center - which killed almost 3,000 people - but he insists the aftermath of the atrocity was his "kind of craziness" because he found it fascinating that nobody was around the day afterwards.
He told Shortlist magazine: "I wasn't scared, I was excited! It was my kind of craziness, y'know.
"The day after that happened, there was f***ing nobody in New York. I remember standing on the steps of the hotel, and - you know when you see an old cowboy film and that tumbleweed rolls past on the ground? There were newspapers just floating around on the streets. It was so f***ing weird."
While the Black Sabbath frontman wasn't frightened by the incident, he admits being anxious over the current unrest in the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and is expecting a lot of the human race to be wiped out with a nuclear weapon sooner or later.
He explained: "I hope this ISIS lot don't get going. I've come to the conclusion that it's in mankind to try to kill each other for one thing or another.
"I think sooner or later one of these crazy f***ers is going to get a nuclear weapon or some f***ing thing, and f**k a lot of people up. That's in our nature."
The rocker - who is married to former 'X Factor' judge Sharon Osbourne - also revealed he once drank three bottles of wine before attending a Correspondents' Dinner at the White House, where he was a guest of honour, and thought the then-president George W. Bush was a "****".
He said: "He was a ****. I was f***ing faced at that dinner. I'd had three bottles of wine before I went in there. Sharon was going f***ing nuts at me.
"No one would come near me because I was off me f***ing nuts.
"I've met him, I've met Bill Clinton, I've met loads of them but they're very strange people.
"Hilary Clinton was wonderful, a very nice lady. George Bush, I never quite got his deal."

Niall Horan regrets leaving school without any qualifications.
The 21-year-old singer quit education aged 16 when he shot to fame on 'The X Factor' with One Direction, but the star admits he would've like to have had more of a childhood by remaining in education and finishing his exams.
Writing in the boy band's latest autobiography, 'Who We Are', he penned: "My childhood was cut short by 'The X Factor' because One Direction took off and I never really got the chance to finish school or do my exams or anything like that.
"After the first audition, I packed up everything in my life in a bag.
"I didn't realise at the time that, when I was stuffing clothes into the little suitcase, that was pretty much me leaving home for good."
While Niall admits he enjoyed his school days, he wasn't always a model pupil as he previously revealed he was suspended from strict Catholic boys school Coláiste Mhuire in Mullingar County, Ireland.
He said: "I maybe stole something when I was at school, like stuff off a friend.
"I was not a bad boy but I got suspended for two days for general messing about. I talked too much which probably got me in trouble."

Keira Knightley felt like she was at school while filming 'The Imitation Game'.
The 29-year-old actress admitted she and her co-star Benedict Cumberbatch - who plays the enigma code-breaking genius Alan Turing in the WW2 thriller - struggled to understand any of the maths that they were taught on set.
In spite of attempts by an engineer to explain the concepts of coding to the brunette beauty, Keira struggled to pay attention to the complex theories and admitted the whole process brought back terrible memories of her school days.
She said at a press conference for the movie at the Corinthia Hotel in London yesterday (08.10.14): " We were really bad at all of it. And I didn't understand any of the maths.
"It's that feeling that I haven't had since school being in maths, you just sort of feel like you've died. He was such a nice man, I should have been paying attention but I didn't."
The 'Atonement' actress - who celebrated the film's debut alongside Benedict, 38 and their co-star, 'Downton Abbey' actor, Allen Leech, at the Odeon cinema in London's Leicester Square during the BFI film festival last night - also admitted she didn't have much luck solving word puzzles on set, insisting it took the cast five days to complete a simple crossword.
She said: "One day we thought, Oh yeah, we should really be doing crosswords,' so we brought the quick crossword, there were five of us and it took us five days."

Amanda Bynes was apprehended for shoplifting yesterday (08.10.14).
The troubled actress - who has sparked fresh concerns for her welfare following a spate of recent erratic behaviour - left Barneys New York wearing a hat she hadn't paid for and was stopped by security guards, who let her go after she agreed not to return to the department store.
A NYPD spokesperson told People: "Police responded to a petit larceny.
"Amanda Bynes placed a hat on her head and left the store. Security brought her back in and called the police, but the security decided to release her ... She was gone when the NYPD arrived on the scene."
Police confirmed no charges were filed but the actress had agreed to sign a no-trespass affidavit, banning her from the store.
The 28-year-old actress insisted the situation was a misunderstanding and she had been trying to escape people trying to take her picture and had the permission of one security guard to leave the store but there was miscommunication with another member of staff.
She said: "I was walking out of the store to get my handbag out of the car.
"I had been harassed by a man - a man and this woman were basically trying to take my picture inside the store, and so I asked them to stop taking it, but they wouldn't ... They were like paparazzi but undercover.
"I walked out of the store, and the sensor went off. I didn't realise I was wearing my cap. And the cap - I was purchasing it, and I was actually still shopping."
Amanda - who was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) last month - also confirmed she can no longer return to the upmarket store.
She said: "I basically just had to leave. They said, 'Please, just don't shop at Barneys anymore.' But oh well. It's fine."

Robert De Niro dedicated his Entertainment Icon award to Robin Williams on Tuesday (07.10.14).
The 'Raging Bull' actor was honoured by the Friars Club at the members society's annual gala at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York and paid tribute to his late friend - who committed suicide in August - for his "love, humour and compassion".
He said: "Last year I was happy to speak at the gala honoring Don Rickles, happy because before I got the call, I couldn't remember if Don was still alive.
"As you approach the stage in life I like to call the Rickles phase, four things happen. You get older, you get shorter, you get Jewish, and then you become a Friar...
"If you know me, you know how much I like to laugh, and no one made me laugh like Robin. No one could fake that amount of love and humour and compassion. Robin my dear friend I dedicate this award to you."
A host of stars paid tribute to the veteran actor at the event, including Sharon Stone, Edward Norton, David O. Russell, Christopher Walken, Meryl Streep and Martin Scorsese.
Joel McHale mocked the screen legend for his prolific career, saying: "There was an awkward moment when he was handed a menu earlier and he signed on to star in it."
Ricky Gervais sent a video message in which he recalled how the 71-year-old actor had called him after he "p***ed everyone off" with his first stint hosting the Golden Globe awards in 2010.
He said: "I p***ed everyone off in Hollywood and you were laughing all the way through.
According to the comic, De Niro told him: "You were great. They were jokes. F**k them. They were jokes."
When the 'Office' star admitted he didn't know if he'd be invited to return to host the awards, the 'Taxi Driver' asked: "You want me to have a word?"
However, Ricky admitted: "I thought you meant you were gonna have 'em whacked. I said, 'No but thanks.' "
Larry King hosted the event, which also honoured Mexican mogul Carlos Slim, and musical performers included Aretha Franklin, Sting and Stevie Wonder.

Kanye West is designing his 15-month-old daughter a diamond wedding ring.
The 36-year-old rapper is keen to create North West's first ever band, which will have the little one's name engraved on it and feature a diamond big enough to ensure she can wear it now.
A source said: "He's in the process of designing her a one-of-a-kind diamond ring for her to wear on her wedding finger. It symbolises dada's love for his little angel.
"Call him crazy, but that's what he's doing. He says it's going to be princess cut with her name engraved in the band and will have the biggest diamond on it that she can possibly carry on her little finger."
The rapper has enlisted the help of jeweller Lorraine Schwartz - who created his wife and North's mother Kim Kardashian West's engagement ring - to create the special band, and he "doesn't care" if the gift seems a little extravagant.
The source added to HollywoodLife.com: "He will be the first man to put a ring on his girl's finger. He's waiting until she gets a little older and will have Lorraine make it to fit her little finger.
"He will do nothing short of spoiling her because that's what he wants to do.
"That little girl means everything to him and there's not a limit on what she can have. He's lucky to be doing it and incredibly thankful, too."
News of Kanye's gift comes shortly after it was revealed Kim has hired a tailor and stylist for North to ensure her little one has outfits which coordinate with her own.
A source said: "Kim has hired North her own personal tailor whose sole job it is to make mini versions of Kim's designer outfits and ensure they always co-ordinate.
"The tailor, who is also paid to act as North's stylist, works with Kanye and Kim's styling team to create her looks.
"Some are collaborations or commissions to designers themselves and others are created in-house."

Brooklyn Beckham had to ask his mum's permission to stay at a film premiere on Tuesday evening (07.10.14).
The 15-year-old son of power couple David and Victoria Beckham was seen sneaking a quick phone call in to his fashion designer mother to check if he was allowed to stay out late, despite it being a school night.
The teen heartthrob - who is rumoured to be dating 'Kick-Ass' actress Chloe Grace Moretz - was chatting with celebrities including Elizabeth Hurley and former England footballer Sol Campbell at the swanky premiere in Kensington, west London, but seemed worried his parents may cut his evening short with an early curfew.
An onlooker at the screening of the new romantic-comedy 'The Rewrite' told The Sun newspaper: "Brooklyn was a surprise attendee and everyone was excited to see him arrive.
"But he very quickly sneaked off to a corner and had a very quick chat with his mum before going inside to watch the film."
Thankfully Victoria was lenient with her eldest son, allowing him to stay out - a move which didn't go unnoticed by other guests who thought it was a considerate decision to alert his parents of his evening plans.
The source added: "It was very sweet and great to see that the family are as close as ever and are always checking in on each other."
