Liv Tyler wants to raise her baby in New York.
The 37-year-old actress - who has nine-year-old son Milo with ex-husband Royston Langdon - and her British boyfriend Dave Gardner are expecting a child together and the sports agent is willing to relocate to America because the 'Lord of the Rings' star is keen to stay in the States while their child is young.
A source said: "Liv's life is established in New York and she and Dave have talked about the benefits of basing themselves there for when the baby is born.
"Dave spends a lot of time there already but he knows Liv would like to be there for the early years of their baby's life. It's still at the discussion stage for now."
Liv's friends are said to be delighted with her relationship with Dave - who has custody of Grey, his seven-year-old son with ex-wife Davinia Taylor - and the pair are very happy to be having a baby together.
The source told Britain's Grazia magazine: "They've actually known each other longer than anyone things. They're both thrilled about the baby.
"Dave is a really nice bloke. He's done a wonderful job bringing up his son Grey. He's very loyal and understated and is one of those people who effortlessly links loads of friendships."

Jessica Simpson spends $1,000 a week on her eyelashes.
The 34-year-old actress - who has children Maxwell, two, and Ace, 15 months, with husband Eric Johnson - reportedly spends over $1 million a year to ensure she looks good and her beauty regime includes weekly tans and monthly laser treatment to zap cellulite.
A source said: "She spends an enormous amount on maintenance of her skin, face, legs and hair.
"She spends a grand a week on tanning - the basic cost of being Jessica Simpson is easily $1 m a year.
"She loves eyelash extensions and has them touched up twice a week. A girl comes to her house and she pays her $500 each time.
"Jessica's convinced she has cellulite and spends at least $2,000 a month on laser and light treatments smoothing out the back of her thighs and butt."
Jessica's beauty costs also include $230,000-a-year for an on-call hairstyling team and $50,000 on bust treatments.
The source explained: "Jessica uses Natural Breast Enlargement Cream twice a day. She also has the upper part of her chest massaged twice a week to help."
And the 'Dukes of Hazzard' star enjoys regular sessions with a celebrity fitness trainer.
The source told heat magazine: "Jess trains with Harley Pasternak three times a week at $1,500 per session."

Emma Bunton still hasn't started planning her wedding.
The former Spice Girls star got engaged to long-term partner Jade Jones - with who she has sons Beau, seven, and Tate, three - in January 2011 but she admits they are the "worst organisers" and still don't even know what they want their nuptials to be like.
She said: "Jade and I are the worst organisers you'll ever meet. I just don't know where to start.
"I don't even know if I want the wedding at home or abroad."
The 38-year-old singer is very proud of how well her sons get along, particularly the way Beau cares for his younger brother.
She said: "They're gorgeous but growing up too fast. Beau is so good with Tate, being the older brother.
"From very young we were like, 'You have to teach him to be Spider-Man'. They've got a great relationship.
"Beau is very sporty and can be quite shy, while Tate is totally into music and dancing."
Though her elder son is a big fan of the Spice Girls, Tate doesn't know their music - yet.
Emma told Britain's OK! magazine: "Beau likes 'Wannabe' and Tate doesn't know yet. But don't you worry, he's going to love the Spice Girls. We're so up his street."

Amanda Bynes has reportedly "never dated" the guy she claimed proposed to her earlier this week.
The troubled actress admitted on Wednesday (08.10.14) that she's planning to marry Caleb Pusey, who she met in rehab last year, but he has since told friends he hasn't even romanced the star before.
A source told TMZ.com: "Caleb and Amanda did befriend each other [in rehab] ... but he says they never dated much less set a date. In fact, he says he hasn't spoken with Amanda in months."
The 28-year-old beauty has sparked concern for her welfare in recent days and was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold in Los Angeles yesterday (10.10.14) after she publicly accused her father Rick of sexually abusing her as a child.
However, she has since retracted the claims.
Amanda, who was recently arrested for driving under the influence [DUI] and accused of shoplifting, spent five months in a treatment facility in July 2013 when she was placed under a 5150 hold after being arrested for starting a small fire in a stranger's driveway.
She was released in December and appeared to be getting her life back on track until her conservatorship - which legally enabled her mother Lynn to take care of her and her assets - came to an end last month.
Meanwhile, the budding fashion designer will be held for 72 hours and her parents reportedly hope to secure another conservatorship during that time.
Lynn previously denied reports her daughter had been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia.

Ray J and his ex-girlfriend are fighting over custody of their little pet dog following their split earlier this week.
The 33-year-old rapper reportedly called time on his short-lived relationship with Princess Love on Thursday (09.10.14), but it wasn't an easy break-up as a huge row broke out over their Maltese puppy, Boogotti.
After calling it quits, Princess - who lived with Ray J -started to pack up her belongings but things took a turn for the worse when she attempted to take the pooch.
A source told TMZ.com: "The two went at it over the three-pound Maltese puppy, to the point where Ray's security had to step in."
The hunky singer's security team managed to get Boogotti off the brunette beauty and the four-legged creature has remained in R Jay's custody ever since.
However, it is believed the couple's fight over their dog will continue to go on and will likely feature on their reality TV show, 'Love & Hip Hop: Los Angeles.'
The source added: "Ray J knows this won't be the the end of the battle."
Meanwhile, Princess has wasted no time announcing that she's single as she took to her Instagram account yesterday (10.10.14) to post a cryptic quote.
She wrote: "Not everyone you lose is a loss."
However, she quickly deleted it and replaced it with a past photograph of herself and ex-boyfriend Floyd Mayweather.

Nick Cannon has sparked rumours he's dating again.
The 'America's Got Talent' host only announced he'd separated from his wife Mariah Carey in July, but he's wasted no time getting back into the single lifestyle as he was spotted enjoying a romantic dinner with a mystery brunette in New York on Thursday (09.10.14).
The hunk, who has three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with the singer, was wearing a blue suit and silk tie, while his beautiful date opted for a more causal attire but dressed it up with black killer heels.
The pair were spotted looking into one another's eyes as they tucked into their delicious meal at a cosy restaurant in the neighbourhood of Tribeca.
However, the news that Nick, 36, is dating again will probably hit Mariah, 44, hard as it was thought her jealous streak led to their split in the first place.
Meanwhile, the 'Hero' hitmaker appeared to take a sly swipe at her estranged husband, whom she married in 2008 after a whirlwind romance, when she performed her 'Elusive Chanteuse World Tour' concert in Tokyo, Japan, last week.
While singing Billie Holiday's classic 'Don't Explain,' the brunette beauty changed the lyrics to the angry line of "I know you cheated, motherf****r," which left fans wondering if it was a subtle reference to Nick.
However, Nick claimed last month that infidelity had nothing to do with their break-up and insisted their main focus is, and always will be, on their children.

Viola Davis used to crawl through bins filled with maggots in order to find food.
The 49-year-old actress went to extreme lengths to stay alive when she was growing up in Rhode Island as she and her family battled "abject poverty."
Speaking at Variety's Power of Women event in Los Angeles last night (10.10.14), she explained: "Although my childhood was filled with many happy memories, it was also spent in abject poverty.
"I was one of the 17 million kids in this country who didn't know where the next meal was coming from, and I did everything to get food.
"I have stolen for food. I have jumped in huge garbage bins with maggots for food. I have befriended people in the neighbourhood, who I knew had mothers who cooked three meals a day for food, and I sacrificed a childhood for food and grew up in immense shame."
The brunette beauty went on to secure a place at Rhode Island College and has since won two Tony Awards and been nominated for two Oscar prizes.
She said: "Everyone should grow up and have a chance at the American dream. The stain in this country is that one out of every five children in this country are living in households that are food-poor.
"And of all the elementary school teachers out there they say three out of every five kids in their class come to school hungry. In the richest country in the world."
Viola is now involved in the Hunger Is campaign, which is dedicated to raising awareness and money for hungry children and their families in the US.

Misty Upham has been missing since October 5.
The 'August: Osage County' actress, who suffers from a medical condition, was last seen by her family six days ago when she left her sister's apartment in Muckleshoot, Washington.
Her father Charles Upham released a letter via the Indian Country Today, saying: "Misty is considered an endangered missing person due to a medical condition. She has not been in contact with her family or friends since her disappearance."
Police arrived at Misty's apartment, which she shares with her parents, last Sunday after receiving a suicide call, but when they arrived she had already packed some of her belongings and left the property.
Commander Steve Stocker told PEOPLE.com: "Our officers responded to her apartment where she lives with her parents on Sunday for a suicidal call. When our officers got there, she had already packed up some belongings and left the apartment, so the officers were not able to contact or find her."
This isn't the first time police have been called to her apartment as within the last year they've reportedly responded to four suicidal calls from Misty's home.
However, the brunette beauty's dad doesn't believe she would actually take her own life, but admits she recently changed her medication.
He told the Hollywood Reporter: "She had recently changed her medication, so she was sort of having erratic behaviour. She told me and her mum that we didn't have to worry about her anymore ... I thought it sounded suicidal myself, so I called the police. She's always been a suicidal person."
"She used to make [suicide] threats sometimes, but she never went through with it. I think that she is either in a place where she can't get help - maybe she fell down and broke her leg and something, or she got in with the wrong crowd. I don't think she would have taken her own life. I don't want to think she is dead."

The Script were forced to cancel their concert in Melbourne tonight (11.10.14) after the stage collapsed.
The 'Superheroes' hitmakers have had to pull out of their gig as part of their promotional tour after the area they were supposed to be performing on gave way.
Taking to Twitter, the Irish boy band broke the devastating news to their fans by writing: "So sorry we can't play tonight. The stage collapsed, thank God nobody was hurt. We'll be back soon. Sorry everyone."
The group - consisting of Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power - are yet to announce whether they will re-schedule the show for a later date.
However, just days before the disaster struck, the band were tweeting their excitement about playing their only gig in the Victoria capital this year.
They wrote on their official account: "Excited 2 b playin our only Melbourne show this year: Sat 11 Oct @mrctracknews as part of #CaulfieldGuineas (sic)."
The 'Together We Cry' singers flew to Australia on Wednesday (08.10.14), before catching a flight from Melbourne to Sydney to perform as part of the Beck Caulfield Guineas race day, but all of the travelling has been proving very difficult for the popular trio.
Tweeting yesterday morning (10.10.14), they said: "This Jetlag is a killer! Cant sleep past 6am!!! Ahhhhhhhh (sic)."
