Ariana Grande is reportedly keen to star in a romantic comedy movie.
The 'Break Free' hitmaker - who found international fame acting in Nickelodeon's 'Victorious' and 'Sam & Cat' - wants to balance her acting and music career.
A source revealed to HollywoodLife.com: "Ariana is really funny, she would love to do a comedy or at least start out with a small part in a comedy.
"She's a hopeless romantic, too, so a romantic comedy would be perfect."
The 21-year-old singer is reportedly being sent multiple scripts by producers desperate for her to star in their films.
A source recently revealed: "Ariana's blowing up right now. Everyone wants her and huge producers are sending her scripts to read.
"She's got so much going on that it would be hard for her to shoot a movie right now but at the same time, she wants to take advantage of things while she's so hot."
However, Ariana has revealed that becoming a music artist was her biggest dream.
She said: "I was 14 years old and ready to make an R&B album. I was like, 'Where is that Mary J. Blige collab? Where is that Natasha Bedingfield writing session? Where is my session with India Arie? I'm ready. Let's go.'"

A judge has branded Rihanna's latest stalker a "ticking time bomb".
New York City judge Orlando Marrazzo fears Kevin McGlynn has the potential to become like Mark David Chapman - the man responsible for shooting and killing Beatles' star, John Lennon, in 1980, according to a report by Reuters.
The judge wrote: "He appears to be a ticking time bomb who is wholly fixated on [Rihanna], and poses a direct threat of serious physical harm or death to her and anyone around her."
He also ruled that the alleged stalker was unfit to stand trial and he ordered that the accused should be committed to a psychiatric hospital in Staten Island, New York.
However, Mr McGlynn has filed a petition seeking release from the psychiatric institute.
The court ordered that the man must stay away from the 'Diamonds' hitmaker's home in Manhattan and the police have been directed that they can arrest him if he is found near the singer's property.
The accused - who was arrested in July this year on alleged stalking offences - has also been banned from contacting the 26-year-old singer by telephone, mail or computer.
The 54-year-old homeless man was arrested after reportedly writing a series of notes to the singer, which made references to murder and sexual assault.
He also is believed to have accused Rihanna of using his own material in her songs and he was spotted outside her home.

Carrie Underwood has had two meltdowns since falling pregnant.
The 31-year-old country singer - who is expecting a child with husband Mike Fisher - has revealed that her pregnancy has caused her to cry over clothes and her car.
Speaking of the first incident, she said: "It was the day I was like 'I no longer can wear my clothes anymore'.
"So [Mike] came in and I was, like, crying in the closet and he was like, 'What is happening?'"
The second meltdown came when the 'Something In The Water' hitmaker went car shopping with her husband, whom she has been married to since 2010.
She told TasteofCountry.com: "When we went to the dealership just to browse ... I started crying. He was like 'Oh, what happened? You were fine five minutes ago.'
"I was like: 'I just started thinking about my car, sitting over in the used car section. There's gonna be a stranger driving my car and I don't know how I feel about that.'"
Meanwhile, Carrie has recently revealed that she is nervous about the responsibility of having a child.
She previously said: "Just being responsible for a tiny human. That's the hardest part."
Carrie also admitted that she finds it "weird" being pregnant.
She explained: "It's still kinda weird, to be honest." Sometimes I'll be with my husband, and it's like, I'm gonna be a mum. You're gonna be a dad. Is this real life? But we're really excited."

Matthew Broderick believes talking and being friends makes a successful marriage.
The 52-year-old actor - who has been wed to 'Sex in the City' star Sarah Jessica Parker since 1997 - revealed that their long-lasting marriage is based on "talking a lot".
He said: "We really are friends beyond everything else and we talk a lot.
"Keep talking I guess, I know how cliché that is. Too much silence is definitely not a good idea."
Matthew also praised his wife for her great sense of humour.
Speaking on the 'Meredith Vieira Show', he added: "She's really funny, she makes me laugh.
"That's good. I wish I had a better answer."
Meanwhile, Matthew previously revealed that he doesn't mind his wife reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend Robert Downey Jr.
He said: "Of course, he's more than [okay to connect her] - they're great friends! What would I say? No? Who do you think I am? No, I love Robert Downey and Sarah Jessica Parker so [yes they can meet up]."
The 49-year-old actress added: "[Robert] and I have always been on wonderful terms so ... of course I'm hospitable to that [meeting]!"
The comment came after Robert admitted that he'd like to meet up with his ex-girlfriend - who he dated for seven years in the 1980s.
He said previously: "I'll make a point of trying to see her while I'm here [in New York City]. I'd like to. I'll ask his permission. I just want to check in for a few minutes.
"I love Matthew Broderick. First of all, I respect both of them so much, and now we have to get past this conversation. For any situation like this, I think enough time has to pass. You don't have to make a big deal of it when the time is right."

Bruce Jenner is "not jealous" that Kris Jenner has started dating again.
The 65-year-old former athlete is reportedly not "bothered" about the dating profile of his 59-year-old ex-wife, who is currently with Corey Gamble, 33.
A source revealed: "There's no point [in feeling jealous]. He's not competing with Corey for anything.
"As far as Bruce is concerned, Corey is living in Bruce's shadow. Everything that the young man is doing, Bruce has already done. And he's done everything with Kris, everything.
"Bruce really doesn't care about Kris and Corey per se. He can have Kris. Seriously, Bruce doesn't care."
Bruce - who is currently dating Ronda Kamihira, Kris's ex-best friend - is reportedly more worried about his relationship with the two children he has with Kris, Kendall and Kylie, and his four step-children.
The source continued to HollywoodLife.com: "He's more concerned with his children and step-children loving him.
"As long as they still love him, call him on his birthday and show up for him and continue to call him 'Dad,' that's all that matters.
"Corey will never be that to the children. And because of that, Bruce can never feel jealousy."
Kris filed for divorce from her husband two months ago, citing "irreconcilable differences". However, court documents revealed the pair had been split up since June last year.
Speaking to acknowledge their formal separation earlier this year, the couple said: "We will always have much love and respect for each other.
"Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

Mark Wahlberg has gushed about American football star, Tom Brady's blue eyes.
The pair worked together during the filming for 'Ted 2' and Mark praised the sports star, revealing that the quarterback put in an "amazing" performance.
He said: "Just shot another movie here [in Boston]. We shot 'Ted 2.' And we have an amazing performance from none other than the greatest quarterback of all time. Tom [Brady] is in the movie.
"He plays himself, but he does an amazing job. Funny, funny moment.
"There were moments where I was always improvising when doing the scene with him. There are times I'm supposed to be a super fan, so I'm trying to calm myself down before I knock on his door. But I'm pretending that I don't know who he is. I keep saying he looks like different people."
Mark stars as John Bennett, the film's main protagonist, and revealed that the football star has eyes "bluer than Daytona Beach".
Speaking on 'Bill Simmons' B.S. Report', Mark said: "Then of course, I'm playing an air conditioning guy, so I'm asking him to sign the paper, and I ask him if he can sign that to me and Ted and put No. 12 there, and can you put 'Eli Manning sucks.'
"And can you put 'Wes Welker is a traitor,' and we keep playing around and playing around.
"I'm staring at his eyes, and I'm like, 'Oh my God, they're bluer than Daytona Beach on 'MTV Spring Break.''

Khloé Kardashian is "stressed" about buying presents for North West.
The 30-year-old 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star is worried about what Christmas gift she should buy for her niece, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's 16-month-old daughter.
Khloé said: "I'm not going to compete with the clothing with her. She's a major fashionista.
"That stresses me out, the fact that I'm nervous to buy my one-year-old niece something."
However, Khloé has come up with an "easy" solution, opting for toys for baby North.
She said: "[I'll buy her] things that I know she likes to play with and it's easy and I can't go wrong."
Meanwhile, Khloé revealed that her dream Christmas gift would be something for her house.
She said: "It might be boring, but I'm doing my house right now.
"What I really love is when people buy me interior things...coffee table books. I like that kind of stuff."
The television personality - who has three siblings and four half-siblings - also admitted that despite finding it "stressful" shopping for baby North, she finds it even harder selecting something for her older relatives.
She told E! News: "Kids are easy. It's the adults in my family that ... have to outdo everyone. They are the stressful ones."

Taylor Swift has revealed that her most 'profound' relationship is with her fans.
The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker - who has dated the likes of John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Harry Styles - admits she constantly has to work on the "core" relationship she has with her fans.
She said: "People always talk to you about marriages and relationships, and they say relationships take work, and you have to keep surprising each other.
"And that I think the most profound relationship I've ever had has been with my fans. That relationship takes work, and you have to continue to think of new ways to delight and surprise them."
The 24-year-old singer also revealed that she felt like she was able to take risks with her latest album, '1989', because of the special relationship she shares with her loyal supporters.
She explained: "You can't just assume that because they liked one of your albums, they're going to like the new one, so you can make it exactly the same as you made the last one.
"You can't just assume that because they were gracious enough to make you a part of their life last year, that they're gonna want to do the same thing this year. I think that core relationship needs to be nurtured.
"And so there were a lot of things that were brand-new to my career, to my life, and to I guess what you would call the campaign of this album - things we'd never even tried before, but they just felt right because it felt like nurturing that relationship."

Jordin Sparks would tell her teenage self not to "doubt so much".
The 24-year-old 'Battlefield' hitmaker has revealed that she would reassure her 17-year-old self to be more confident and not worry as much.
She shared: "I'd say: 'You're on the right track; don't doubt so much."
Jordin - who recently split from her long-term boyfriend Jason Derulo, 25 - also had some advice for her fans.
Talking on 'The View' on Thursday (06.11.14) she said: "If there's anything you want to do in life, it does require hard work. Be kind to people, show up on time - practice, practice, practice - and do your research if that's what your respective field requires. But if you're going to do it, make sure it's what you want to do and tackle it head on."
The beautiful singer also shared some advice that her former American football player dad Phillippi Sparks gave her.
She told the show: "My dad said there's always going to be somebody coming up behind you, trying to take your spot, so you've got to be the best that you can be at all times.
"In life, I always go back to my family. My family keeps me grounded. They remind me what's important. And also, I've always just wanted to teach myself, and I've just always wanted to become better.
"I get motivated by everyone else doing all of these many amazing things, and I go: 'You know what... I'm going to step up my game, and I'm going to do it for me.'"
