Benedict Cumberbatch loves Sophie Hunter because she's so accepting of his fame.
The 38-year-old 'Imitation Game' star admits it's tough to retain a sense of normality given his huge fan base, but insists his soon-to-be-wife handles the attention brilliantly.
He shared: "I want to normalise this part of our lives.
"She's proud of my work, she's proud of me, and she loves me. That's the bottom line, isn't it? That's one of the reasons it's a good fit. It could be a really difficult thing, but she's just so in command of it."
Asked whether the couple - who met on the set of 2009's 'Burlesque Fairytale' - intend to start a family in the near future, he told People: "I've got to be very coy on that one. Very silent."
And despite achieving incredible levels of fame, Benedict insists he still appreciates the simple things in life.
He explained: "I'm a homebody. I love to stay in at night, light a fire, have a whiskey and watch a movie or read a good book.
"People forget about books. They're always just turning on the television, but reading a good book is the most nourishing thing you can do."

Christian Bale felt "jealous" when it was announced Ben Affleck would play Batman.
The 40-year-old star - who appeared as the superhero in the 'The Dark Knight' film franchise - has revealed he "stared into nothing for half an hour" when he was told his fellow actor had been cast of the character in the upcoming film 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', because he felt envious.
Christian said: "When I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour.
"But I'm 40. The fact that I'm jealous of someone else playing Batman ... I think I should have gotten over it by now."
Christian admitted that while he originally said he would never star in another Batman movie, a part of him wanted to make one more for the franchise.
He added to Empire magazine: "I've got to admit, initially, even though I felt that it was the right time to stop, there was always a bit of me going, 'Oh go on ... Let's do another.' "
However, the 'American Psycho' star insisted there is no bitterness between him and the 42-year-old star.
Christian said: "I haven't spoken with Ben, but I emailed him offering bits of advice that I learned the hard way. I would imagine he is doing everything he can to avoid anything that I did."

Professor Green admits he and Millie Mackintosh get "well p***ed off" if they wake one another up.
The 30-year-old musician - who wed the fashion designer and former 'Made in Chelsea' star in 2013 - revealed the couple's hectic schedules mean they often work strange hours and get angry at each other for waking up at odd times.
Speaking at an exclusive gig at the Spotify offices in central London to launch their new integration with Uber, he told BANG Showbiz: "When we do see each other it's one of us falling into bed extremely late at night and the other one waking up before the other one does but still disturbing the other one so the other one gets well p***ed off."
Pro Green - whose real name is Stephen Manderson - doesn't see his partner very often because of their different careers, and hinted his wife has been even busier recently while training for "a very specific reason"'.
He added: "We're f**king busy and our careers don't align. We do very different things, so she's working on her clothing range at the moment, she's also just, oh I can't say, but she's been training hard for a very specific reason, and she's nailing it, and I'm busy doing what I'm doing."
The star has also had a packed year working on his third album, 'Growing Up In Public', and is now looking forward to the festive season when he can enjoy a rare break and spend some quality time with Millie, 25.
He added: "I think I've actually got a holiday, I've got a week's allowance, so it actually means we'll be able to spend some time together. It just means we make the most of the time we do spend together."
Pro Green personally picked up some fans in Uber cars to take them to his exclusive gig in London to celebrate the taxi company's partnership with Spotify.

Bette Midler has slammed Ariana Grande's "silly high voice".
The 68-year-old actress hit out at the 21-year-old star's sexy music videos for being "silly beyond belief", and insists the 'Bang Bang' hitmaker's provocative videos and stage performances are "ridiculous".
She said: "It's terrible! It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, slithering around on a couch, looking so ridiculous. I mean, it's silly beyond belief and I don't know who's telling her to do it. I wish they'd stop. But it's not my business, I'm not her mother. Or her manager.
"Maybe they tell them that's what you've got to do. Sex sells. Sex has always sold."
The 'Wind Beneath My Wings' singer - who has won three Grammy Awards and been nominated for two Academy Awards - insisted young female pop stars should be told they don't need to be so scantily-clad in their music videos because they can sell songs without taking their clothes off.
When asked what advice she would give young girls who are hoping to become a pop star, the 'Beaches' star told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Trust your talent. You don't have to make a wh**e out of yourself to get ahead. You really don't.
"I mean, don't ask me. It's beyond me. I'm too old.
"I don't know what the end game is going to be. I don't know where you go from all that sex in your twenties. I don't know how you sustain it."

Demi Lovato insists she and Miley Cyrus won't be friends again because they have nothing in common.
The 22-year-old singers were good pals during their rise to fame but the 'Heart Attack' hitmaker admits that while she wishes Miley good luck in her life, she cannot see them hanging out together again because they have changed too much.
Speaking on 'The TJ Show' on Boston's 103.3 AMP Radio, she said: "We're like ... we're acquaintances.
"It's life, and people change, and, you know, I don't have anything in common with her anymore, and I wish her all the best."
Despite admitting the pair are not pals, Demi recently insisted she had a much easier transition from a Disney star to a mainstream pop artist compared to her former friend because she checked into rehab for addiction issues and an eating disorder in 2012, while the 'Hannah Montana' star made a name for herself thanks to her raunchy on-stage antics.
When asked why she didn't leave Disney and develop a raunchy image, she replied: "I guess my transition was a little easier because I went straight to rehab. I didn't twerk - I just went to rehab!
"But you know what, I think the world needs to get over the fact that [Miley] was Hannah Montana when she was 16.
"Nobody knows her. Nobody really knows who I am, and the same with Selena [Gomez] and Jonas [Brothers] and everyone that has grown up in front of the public eye. We're adults now."
Demi admitted in 2012 that the pair used to have "brutal" fights because of their fiery personalities even when they were good friends, and she insisted at the time that she would always be pals with Demi and Selena Gomez.
She said: "Miley Cyrus and I are strong headed. When we fight it's brutal and we're like, 'We're never going to be friends again!' Then two days later, were like, 'I love you and I miss you!'
"Both [Miley and Selena] will never leave my life no matter what happens, because we've been through so much together."

Ryan Reynolds is "good" at changing diapers.
The 38-year-old actor and wife Blake Lively, 27, are expecting their first child together and the 'Green Lantern' hunk is looking forward to being a hands-on dad and isn't even concerned about the messier aspects of fatherhood.
He said: "I don't have a weak stomach. I'm good with diapers and diarrhoea and all that kind of stuff because I have lots of nieces and nephews, so I've done it all before."
Though the couple don't know whether they are expecting a boy or a girl, the 'Proposal' star is looking forward to having a little "buddy" to hang out with.
He said: "I'm just excited about having a buddy. We don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but whatever it is, you have this tether to reality that never goes away."
Though Ryan is excited about being a dad, he knows he needs to leave "room for error" as he won't do everything perfectly because it is all new to him.
He told People: "For a lot of new dads, you tend to dwell on the mistakes you don't want to make.
"I'm at that stage still where I'm focused primarily on being open and understanding and leaving a lot of room for error."

Iggy Pop loves to twerk around his house with his wife when a good song is played on the radio.
The 67-year-old rocker regularly throws some shapes with Nina Alu when they are chilling out together at home and admits the brunette beauty has mastered the dance style, which he thinks is partly down to her father being from Nigeria, Africa, where similar dances are traditional.
When asked what he thought of singer/songwriter Debbie Harry saying he invented twerking, he replied: "I was so proud.
"When something with a good beat comes on, I twerk around the house with my wife.
"Her father's Nigerian and she can twerk. And I try. I like to shake that thing."
While Iggy - who married Nina in 2008 - gets his thrills from twerking nowadays, the 'Really Wild Child' hitmaker used to get high on heroin, LSD, cocaine and alcohol, but claims he was rarely admitted to rehab because he was seen as a "hero" in the medical treatment facilities.
He added to Style magazine: "I was pretty alky for a couple of years. I went from grass to hashish to LSD to heroin. Then coke and heroin.
"Then down the steps from there to meth and Quaaludes. Then, finally, all the way down to outside the liquor store at 6am, waiting for them to open.
"Finally, little by little, I was able to wean myself off that with a combination of craft and willpower.
"I had two very good doctors in my life. One was a shrink, who admitted me at a key time into an actual mental ward, where I didn't really belong.
"Most people would have put me in rehab, but in rehab I was a hero.
"I went into one - I'd had a relapse in the early 1980s - and it was all, 'Hey Iggy, I've got some Valium, wanna have a Jacuzzi?' "

The 18-year-old singer was so impressed by the 'Timber' hitmaker after she met him backstage at the American Music Awards last night (23.11.14), she took to Twitter to share the encounter with her 2.75 million followers and likened him to US leader Barack Obama.
She wrote on the site: "i met pitbull backstage, felt this wave of his charisma and loveliness wash over me, probably not dissimilar to meeting the president. (sic)"
Lorde - who performed her track 'Yellow Flicker Beat', which she penned for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' soundtrack, at the ceremony in Los Angeles - also posted a cryptic tweet prior to her performance, which she described as the "saying farewell.. to this era".
She wrote: "performing yellow flicker beat tonight - it's gonna be a cool one; kind of saying farewell, for now, to this era. tune in from 5pm. (sic)"
The Grammy Award-winner was clearly looking forward to her evening, as she also posted: "AMAs-ing (sic)"
Unfortunately, the 'Royals' hitmaker - who was nominated for Artist of the Year, Favourite Female Artist, Favourite Album and Favourite Artist in the Alternative Rock category - didn't take any awards home at the ceremony in the Nokia Theatre, losing out on Artist of the Year to 5 Seconds of Summer, Favourite Female Artist to Katy Perry, Favourite Album to One Direction's 'Midnight Memories', and the Favourite Alternative Rock Artist to Imagine Dragons.

Jason Bateman would love to return to 'Arrested Development' to be back with his "beloved" Will Arnett.
The 45-year-old actor - who has been married to Amanda Anka since 2001 - is keen to reprise his role as Michael Bluth in the US sitcom so he can see the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' actor on a daily basis once again.
He said: "Times were sweet when I could start my days with him and end my days with him on 'Arrested Development', you know.
"I'd get to work while the sun was still down and I'd get home after the sun's down. I'm with him all day, I didn't even see my ... you know ... the beard [his wife]. I'd leave before the beard gets up.
"So more 'Arrested Development' would be great, just so I could be back with my beloved."
Jason - who has daughters Francesca, eight, and two-year-old Maple - also joked he would love to see 44-year-old hunk's broad shoulders on set again.
Speaking on 'Conan', he added: "I think Will Arnett is one of the best human beings on the planet, I think he fills out a white v-neck like no one's business.
"He's got shoulders like a hanger."
'Arrested Development' originally ran on Fox from November 2003 to February 2006 and later returned in May 2013 on Netflix.
UK viewers can watch Jason Bateman's interview on 'Conan' at 11pm on Monday November 24th, on truTV (freeview channel 68) - the home of larger than life characters in real situations.
