The 'Glee' star - who started dating the 25-year-old actor in March this year - is believed to have called time on her relationship with Thomas "a few weeks ago" according to Us Weekly.
The news follows reports things had been getting "very serious" between the pair - who were first spotted getting close at the Coachella Music Festival in California in April - after the blonde beauty flew to Australia to meet the Sydney-born actor and his family over the summer.
The stars never officially confirmed that they were dating and are yet to comment on news they have split.
Meanwhile, Dianna and Thomas have both enjoyed a string of high profile relationships in the past.

Though little North may only by 17 months old, she has a $10,000-a-month fashion and beauty bill, with her costs including baby massages with organic oil and mini manicure-pedicures, as well as a $2,000-a-month hair dresser.
A source said: "Her hairdresser is also in charge of accessorising and works alongside her stylist to ensure that her hair goes with the look."
North has her own two-person styling team and the stylist and her assistant also spend around $2,000 a month on designer clothes for the youngster, before customising many of her garments.
The source told heat magazine: "North has a tailor who makes clothes for her, such as mini versions of her mum's designer outfits so she can match Kim.
"The tailor will often customise clothes too, by embellishing jackets with her name picked out in Swarovski crystals - she even has NW stitched into all her shoes."
The couple have also arranged for North to have her own 2,000 sq ft wardrobe in their new home, complete with Italian marble floors and her own beauty parlour.

The 22-year-old model walked the runway at the brand's annual show at London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre while her 24-year-old pop star pal performed, with them even stepping down together at one point, and the blonde beauty thinks the 'Shake it Off' hitmaker should be an "honorary" face of the lingerie company.
Karlie told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Taylor should be an Angel herself. She looks pretty heavenly out there. I'd say she's definitely an honorary one."
This year's show was the first time it had been held in London and Karlie and her fellow Angels loved the sense of camaraderie on the trip.
She said: "It's been like a sorority outing."
Behati Prinsloo - who is married to Adam Levine - added: "It felt like I was back in high school on a hockey trip, it's been such an amazing experience."
Taylor performed two tracks at the show earlier this month.
During her second song 'Style', which she played during the Angel Ball section, Taylor strutted up the catwalk with her close friend Karlie.

Earlier in the show, Taylor performed her latest single 'Blank Space' during the Dream Girl segment for which she wore a powder pink satin slip teamed with a pink satin and black lace robe and fluffy pink peep toe heels.
The musician playfully gave high-fives to some of the Angels as they walked the catwalk and danced seductively during the fashion extravaganza.

Tristan Evans pretended to be a member of One Direction.
The Vamps drummer tried to impress an old lady by boasting about his pop prowess - but claimed he was part of the 'Steal My Girl' group instead of his own.
He said: "I told an old person that I was in One Direction. I was just trying to impress the granny at the dinner table. It went down well!"
And it seems Tristan isn't the only member of the group who is happy to deceive people.
His bandmate Connor Ball said: "I'm good at lying. I've got it down to a tee - it's a trait I'd like to take further."
Meanwhile, the group admitted they wouldn't want their parents to accompany them on tour because they are very different on the road.
Brad Simpson said: "[They couldn't come on] the whole tour. Maybe just one journey. This is like, 'tour me', not the innocent Brad from home!"
James McVey added: "I don't mind if my family comes to the shows, but if they were on the tour bus, that would be a little bit too much."

The 'Unbroken' director "can't believe" she has contracted the viral infection, in which a person develops extremely itchy blisters all over the body, and will have to skip the film's premiere in Los Angeles on Monday (15.12.14).
In a video message on Friday (12.12.14), the 39-year-old star said: "I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I would be missing the 'Unbroken' events in the next few days, which is that I found out last night that I have Chickenpox. So, I will be home itching and missing everyone and I can't believe it because this film means so much to me. I just can't believe it, but such is life. There it is. Send everyone my love and I hope everything goes well!"
In an official statement, released via Universal Pictures, she also admitted she is "heartbroken" to miss the upcoming screening of the gripping movie depicting the life of the late World War II hero and former Olympic distance runner Louis Zamperini, as she was set to attend it with his family and his pal Russell Allen 'Phil' Phillips' daughter.
She said: "You have to laugh at the timing. I was sure nothing could stop me from supporting 'Unbroken'. I am heartbroken to miss our premiere, most of all the chance to be there with Louie's family, Phil's daughter Karen, veterans and all the guests who are coming."
