Big Sean "cut off all communication with the outside world" to prove he loved Ariana Grande.
The 26-year-old rapper - whose relationship with the 'Break Free' hitmaker was first confirmed in October last year - reportedly turned off his mobile phone whilst they were on holiday so he could give her all his attention.
A source shared: "When they were up in Tahoe, he basically cut off all communication with the outside world and gave her his complete and undivided attention.
"He turned off his cell phone for the majority of the day."
Big Sean is believed to be "incredibly romantic" towards the 21-year-old singer and is expected to take her on similar trips in the future because it brings them "closer".
The source continued: "He loves this girl big time and all he wants to continue doing is spending time with her and being lovebirds and incredibly romantic.
"He's got more trips like that in store because he knows she loves that kind of stuff and it brings them both much closer to one another."
The rapper has reportedly been receiving a lot of messages from his exes and female friends, which led Ariana to worry that he was cheating.
However, the increased number of phone calls and text messages from his former flames are believed to be them expressing their condolences, after the rapper recently lost his grandmother.
The source explained to HollywoodLife.com: "Ariana thought Big Sean was seeing other females because after his grandmother died, a lot of his exes and female friends called him and were telling him that if he needed anything, they were there for him.
"His phone was blowing up with phone calls and texts and he was with Ariana some of the time. She saw girl after girl blowing him up and like most women, her mind automatically assumed he was cheating, but she shouldn't have thought that."

Frankie Bridge is pregnant with her second child.
The Saturdays star - who already has 14-month-old Parker with her husband, retired footballer Wayne Bridge - confirmed the news on her official Twitter account.
She wrote: "So excited to tell you that Wayne & I are expecting another baby later this year. We cant wait for Parker to have a little brother or sister (sic)"
The 25-year-old also revealed she hasn't been feeling too well and will have to miss the 'Strictly Come Dancing' tour, which is due to take place later this month.
She added: "Sadly I'm really unwell with my pregnancy and won't be able to take part in the Strictly tour. I'm SO sorry. I was so looking forward to it. (sic)"
The 'What About Us' hitmaker - who reached the finals of the dancing competition but lost out to Caroline Flack and her dancing partner Pasha Kovalev - also released a statement, saying her and her husband were "delighted" by the news.
The statement read: "Wayne and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting our second baby.
"It is very early days, but we couldn't be happier and Parker will make a wonderful big brother."
Fans and friends alike have offered their congratulations to the singer, including her fellow bandmates, Una Foden and Vanessa White.
Una tweeted: "Baby Bridge #2 is on the way and we couldn't be more excited!! Congrats @FrankieTheSats, Wayne and Parker! (sic)".
Vanessa expressed her happiness too, writing: "So happy and excited for @FrankieTheSats and Wayne on expecting baby number 2!!! Xxx (sic)"

Sienna Miller is to take over from Emma Stone in 'Cabaret'.
The 'American Sniper' actress will return to Broadway on February 17, where she will portray club singer Sally Bowles opposite Allan Cumming as Emcee in the hit stage production at Studio 54.
Sienna - who previously tread the boards in New York in 2009 production 'After Miss Julie' - will appear in the production until its run ends on 29 March.
The news of the 33-year-old British star's casting comes just a few days after it was announced Emma - who took over the role from Michelle Williams in November - had extended her run in the production by an additional two weeks.
Emma - who is in a relationship with her 'The Amazing Spider-Man' co-star Andrew Garfield - recently spoke of her delight at starring in the production because she has always been "obsessed" with it.
She said: "I've wanted to play Sally Bowles since I was 10, and saw Natasha Richardson in 'Cabaret'.
"I don't think I've ever been so truly obsessed with a character or a story. I can't believe it's actually happening.
"Rob Marshall [co-director with Sam Mendes] said to me that Sally is like 'Hamlet' for women."
Emma also previously admitted she was terrified of taking on the role.
The 'Birdman' star said: "I'm scared s***less! But I've wanted to play that part since I was, strangely, nine years old, which is way too young."

Blake Lively felt "sexier" wearing high heels when she was pregnant.
The former 'Gossip Girl' star - who welcomed her and husband Ryan Reynolds' first child, believed to be a girl named Violet, into the world last month - refused to wear sensible footwear while carrying her baby because she always felt better in towering Christian Louboutin shoes.
She said: "What can I say? I feel good when I'm wearing heels. I feel sexier, attractive.
"When I put on Louboutins while super pregnant, it makes me feel more empowered in that moment, it gives me that extra oomph."
The 27-year-old beauty admitted that buying the designer shoes - which are known for their trademark red soles - made her feel better about her changing shape.
She told People magazine: Trust me, when you see that scale starting to go up up up -- and not the little number slide on top but the big number slide on the bottom -- you go shopping and buy yourself some red-soled shoes."
The 'Green Lantern' actress felt it was important to her sense of self not to wear maternity clothes during her pregnancy and preferred to stick with her normal outfits.
She said: "Other than maternity jeans, I didn't buy anything maternity. Everything is my clothing, it's something I can and will wear when I'm not pregnant.
"It's important to still feel like yourself, because so much of your life is changing.
"I would've felt foreign in my own body if I'd started dressing differently."

Miranda Kerr thinks it's fine for a woman to date multiple men as long as they don't sleep with any of them.
The 31-year-old star - who split from Orlando Bloom in 2013 after three years of marriage - advises against having sex on a first date because she thinks it's better to go out with a number of potential suitors to keep your options open.
When asked for her advice about sex on a first date, Miranda - who has written two books for young females, 'Treasure Yourself' and 'Empower Yourself' - said: "My philosophy is that until you get to know them it's better not to, because energetically as a woman you get attached.
"So you're better off to go on a few dates and see if you want to get attached or not.
"If you are not sleeping with someone, then I think it's OK to go on a date with this one and that one.
"Men don't want to be disrespected, and women feel the best when they feel cherished.
"So if a woman is feeling cherished, she will respect a man, and if a man's feeling respected, he will cherish a woman. It doesn't need to be complicated.

She said: "I'll go on a date here and there if it works. But at this point my priority is my son. I'm not looking for a relationship. I'm just not.
"I believe in the man chasing the girl, but that's just me personally.
"I think a woman should respond [to text messages from a man] but not reach out."
While the brunette stunner recommends women wear sexy underwear to give them an "extra boost of confidence" when they are dating, she would love to be naked all the time if she didn't have anyone taking her picture.
Speaking to Harper's Bazaar magazine, she added: "I love taking my shoes off and being in the grass. Or sunbaking naked.
"I wish I could go skinny-dipping in the ocean. If I didn't have to worry about anyone taking my picture, I'd totally be out there. I quite like to be naked."

Eddie Redmayne's wife was more than 30 minutes late to their wedding.
The 'Theory of Everything' actor tied the knot with long-term girlfriend Hannah Bagshawe just before Christmas in Somerset, south west England, and the 33-year-old hunk was not surprised at all that the brunette beauty didn't turn up on time because she is always behind schedule.
He said: "My wife ... god it sounds so amazing just after you get married, even the terms sound new ... she has never been on time for anything in her life.
"My job, or one of my jobs, was to find the venue and I made sure the place where we were having the reception was next to the chapel so when she didn't turn up on time I could say, 'Oi, you're coming.'
"She was a good half-hour late. Her grandfather had to be held back from going and summoning her.
"Everyone else was really stressed but I was kind of relaxed knowing that she'd never been on time for pretty much anything in her life."
Eddie and Hannah - who have been together for three years - celebrated their nuptials with a honeymoon to The Alps, and while they were left disappointed that it didn't snow, they still managed to have a great time gorging on fondue and red white.
Speaking on the 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' on Wednesday night (07.01.15), he added: "We went to the Alps, which was such a beautiful idea, but unfortunately there was no snow.
"That was just an excuse to take long lunches, drink a lot of red wine and have a lot of fondue.
Talk show host Ellen then presented Eddie with a bottle of red wine and a fondue set with the name "Redmaynes" engraved on, much to the star's delight.

Ludacris' ex-girlfriend thinks he only got married to gain custody of their daughter.
The 37-year-old rapper, announced his engagement to Eudoxie Mbouguiengue via Instagram on December 27 and got married on the same day, but Tamika Fuller thinks the hastily-arranged wedding only took place so he could show the Georgia court presiding over their custody case that he can provide 12-month-old Cai with a more stable home environment than she can as a single parent, a source told website TMZ.
Ludacris is bidding for full custody of the little girl and has claimed he is a better parent and has the means to provide her with a better life.
However, Tamika reportedly thinks he is just trying to avoid
paying $7,000 a month in child support.
The dispute begins in court later this month.
