Julianne Moore's children aren't impressed by the Oscars.
The 'Still Alice' star, who is nominated for Best Actress at the prestigious ceremony in Los Angeles next month, claims her son Caleb, 17, and daughter Liv, 12, were more excited about her starring in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part One.'
She said: "They could take or leave the Oscars. 'Mockingjay' was a big deal!"
Despite being considered a front-runner ahead of the prestigious ceremony, Julianne is determined not to get swept up by the buzz either.
The 46-year-old star said: "I try to take it one day at a time. Otherwise, I get overwhelmed."
But she has started looking at designer dresses for the event.
She told Us Weekly magazine: "I have a couple of dress options. I don't like to do things last-minute. I'm always impressed when people say, 'I chose it 15 minutes ago!' "
The actress plays a professor grappling with Alzheimer's disease in the film and admits she felt a lot of pressure to do her character justice.
She explained: "The challenge is always there. Are you going to get it right? This is a disease that I had no knowledge of, so I really felt a responsibility to gather as much information as I could."

John Mayer spent almost a year trying to win Katy Perry back.
The 37-year-old singer-songwriter recently rekindled his relationship with the 'Dark Horse' hitmaker, but started sending her flowers on a regular basis shortly after she ended their relationship last February.
An insider said: "She broke it off last year, but John has never stopped trying to get her back - flowers, phone calls, the works. And I guess it finally worked."
While the brunette beauty, 30, casually dated DJ Diplo for much of last year, John made sure he wasn't spotted on dates with any other women in a bid to prove to Katy that he wasn't over her.
The source told the US edition of OK! magazine: "Katy ended it just so John would see what he was missing. But now that he's proven himself, she's willing to give the relationship another shot."
But friends of the multi-million selling artist are concerned she is jumping back into things too quickly with John.
Another source previously said: "Katy and John are back together.
"Although her friends have warned her to be careful, she is already ignoring all of the red flags.
"She is not listening to anyone and is going into this full force."

Selena Gomez is on "cloud nine" with Zedd.
The 'Come And Get It' hitmaker - who is rumoured to be dating the 25-year-old music producer and DJ after the pair were spotted holding hands at a Golden Globes after party on Sunday night (11.01.15) - is reportedly completely "smitten" by her new love interest.
A source shared: "Selena is on cloud nine. She's never been happier and definitely has Zedd to thank for that. She's absolutely smitten with him.
"First off, Selena feels like he totally gets her on so many levels. They never run out of things to talk about it. One night they stayed on the phone for four straight hours talking. It's crazy."
Meanwhile, the new rumoured relationship is reportedly affecting the 22-year-old singer's on/off boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
The 'Baby' hitmaker is said to be "hurting big time" over the news that Selena has found someone else.
A source shared: "Justin is going to act like he doesn't care one bit, but in his inner circle, everyone knows he's hurting big time over the fact that Selena is with Zedd...
"He's shocked that she's with Zedd, to the point where he's been saying he thinks it's fake, that they're doing for attention."
Zedd's "sensitive and quirky" nature is reportedly worrying the 20-year-old singer because it's what she is looking for in a boyfriend.
The source added to HollywoodLife.com: "Yes, Zedd is a threat to Justin. He's super talented and successful. He's got a ton going on and he's just a nice guy, with an awesome sense of humour.
"Plus, he's sensitive and quirky and Selena likes that kind of stuff in a guy."

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are planning to have "multiple babies" this year.
The couple - who have been dating for six months - are reportedly ready to take another step in their relationship.
A source revealed to HollywoodLife.com: "They are in love beyond belief and babies are in the mix, multiple babies and they want to start this year!"
The news comes just a day after a source claimed that the 'Twilight' actress and 'The Vampire Diaries' star have got engaged.
The insider said previously: "It happened over the holidays.
"They mentioned a June [wedding] date. They're really excited."
Nikki - who recently divorced from 'American Idol' star, Paul McDonald - was seen wearing two diamond bands on her right ring finger in the past few weeks, which the insider explained was a way of the couple keeping their exciting news to themselves.
The source added: "Nikki said she wears the ring on her right hand because they want to keep it quiet now."
Meanwhile, Ian recently gushed about the 26-year-old actress, calling her one "of the most beautiful ladies in the universe".
Praising the charity work she does with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, he wrote next to a photograph of them and their two dogs: "A day with 3 of the most beautiful ladies in the universe... Wow smiling is such a beautiful part of the human experience - I highly recommend it.

Jennifer Aniston has been blasted by the widow of her dead ex.
In a recent interview, the 'Cake' star revealed that she felt her fiancé, Justin Theroux, was a gift from one of her ex-partners, who died from brain cancer.
However, the widow of Daniel McDonald, Mujah Maraini-Melehi, has condemned the 45-year-old actress in a Facebook message.
She wrote: "Please respect our love and especially our loss. The children lost their father. I lost my partner.
"I am sorry that Jennifer did not realise the treasure that was Daniel when she had the chance, long before he and I met and long before he died.
"It pains me to read the headlines that allude to her losing him tragically when she was not present during his long and difficult illness. That said perhaps Daniel's gift was to teach her how to love and appreciate Justin Theroux."
Daniel - whose relationship with Jennifer ended in 1994 -died in 2007, aged 46, and was a regular performer on Broadway and he made several appearances in TV series.
Mujah also revealed that she tried to connect with Jennifer after losing Daniel, but there was no response from the Hollywood actress.
She wrote: "After Daniel died, I reached out to her to give her back all the photographs from the time they were together.
"I never got an answer back from her."

Tyga thinks Kylie Jenner is a "natural mother".
The 25-year-old rapper - who is dating the 17-year-old 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star - reportedly thinks his girlfriend has "mothering instincts" after seeing her interact with his two-year-old son, King Cairo.
A source shared: "She's got natural mother instincts for when she does have a baby.
"When King is around, Kylie lights up. She likes to hold him and she's read to him before at the house."
King Cairo - who the 'Rack City' hitmaker has with his ex-fiancé Blac Chyna - is believed to have built up an affinity with Kylie.
The source continued: "Kylie thinks King's the cutest little baby ever and she can't stop playing with his hair.
"Several weeks back she was over and she and Tyga were talking about some business but she was more interested in playing with King. She calls him 'King King' by the way and every time he sits on her lap she twists his hair."
Meanwhile, Kylie - who is rumoured to be pregnant with Tyga's baby - won't be getting the full seal of approval from two of her sisters if the rumours end up being true because of their individual struggles to get pregnant.
Another source told HollywoodLife.com: "If Kylie were pregnant, Kim and Khloe would be happy for her and absolutely sad at the same time.
"They're both having their own pregnancy problems, and for Kylie just to pop out a child that's totally unexpected and not planned would f**k up Khloe and Kim's psyche, especially Kim's."

Big Sean sends Ariana Grande videos of him singing.
The 26-year-old rapper - who has been dating the 'Problem' hitmaker for several months - is reportedly creating little videos for the 21-year-old singer so she doesn't feel too upset when he works away.
A source shared: "When he's away, he checks in with her all the time, which really helps.
"A few days ago, he made a little video of him singing to her in an elevator. She loves that kind of thing. She just wants to know that even when they aren't together he's thinking of her."
The 'Beware' hitmaker is believed to be "putting in the time" to ensure his relationship with Ariana is successful whilst the 'Break Free' singer is also working on being more "mature" for the sake of their relationship.
The source continued to HollywoodLife.com: "Sean is extremely dedicated to his career so there are times that he can't be with her as much as she wants and that causes fights. But they're figuring it out, he puts in the time.
"And she's working on being mature about it. As much as she loves her work there is another part that would give it all up to just spend 24/7 with Sean, but he pushes her, he won't let her do that. He pushes her to do more and be more, he's good for Ariana."

Maria Shriver is "disgusted" by Miley Cyrus' nude photo shoot.
The mother of Miley's boyfriend, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is reportedly shocked by the 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker's latest antics, which saw her strip off for V magazine.
A source shared: "Maria is disgusted by the pictures. She just doesn't get it: why Miley would do this and what the appeal is for Patrick."
The 59-year-old journalist is not the most supportive of her son's new relationship but is feeling the pressure from her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 67.
The source added: "She's in a very hard place, she's getting pushed into a corner by Arnold, she doesn't want to be the bad cop.
"The only one still on her side is Katherine [her daughter] and Patrick's wearing her down too."
Despite his mother's protests, Patrick is believed to be sticking by his girlfriend.
An insider added to HollywoodLife.com: "He knows what he signed up for dating Miley. She wouldn't like him if he didn't accept her for who she is and he is totally OK with what she does to express herself.
"He is with her on everything she does, as long as she doesn't get hurt he is totally down with everything."

Katy Perry and John Mayer are "in love".
The 'Dark Horse' hitmaker - who recently rekindled her romance with the 37-year-old singer-songwriter - reportedly went on a double date with friends Allison Williams and her fiancé Ricky Van Veen where the new couple seemed very loved-up.
A source shared: "They are in love. They missed each other.
"They seem very happy about being back together again."
The couple is now working on balancing their work commitments with their personal lives.
The source added to People magazine: "They have to make time for each other and figure out how they can be together in a smooth relationship."
Meanwhile, another insider recently revealed that the 30-year-old singer is giving John "another chance".
A source said previously: "Katy is giving John another chance because she feels like there could be something there."
The pair dated after Katy divorced comedian Russell Brand in 2012, but called an end to their romance in February 2014, shortly after releasing a duet together titled 'Who You Love'.
However, friends of the 'Fireworks' hitmaker are concerned she is moving too fast, following her split from producer Diplo at the end of 2014.
The source added: "Katy and John are back together.
"John pursued Katy relentlessly because it drove him crazy seeing her with Diplo.
"Although her friends have warned her to be careful, she is already ignoring all of the red flags. She is not listening to anyone and is going into this full force."
