Slash says Grohl has spirit of rock ‘n’ roll

Slash thinks Dave Grohl is "great" for soldiering on with his concert after breaking his leg on stage in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The iconic guitarist took the time - after playing Download Festival on Sunday (15.06.15) - to praise the Foo Fighters frontman and insisted he would have done exactly the same thing if he was injured during a show.
Speaking after his triumphant slot at this year's festival at Donington Park, he told the Daily Star newspaper: "Isn't that great? Carrying on with a broken leg is the spirit of rock 'n' roll and power to him. I mean that's what I would do."
Slash performed all of his hits at Download with Myles Kennedy on vocals.
Festival-goers standing in the Zippo booth experienced the best view of the stage, as the guitar god played several Guns N' Roses hits including, 'Sweet Child Of Mine' and 'Paradise City'.
Meanwhile, the 49-year-old rocker shared his worries of what the future lineup of the heavy metal festival - sponsored by official partners Zippo - will look like.
He added: "With Mötley Crüe and KISS and even myself, we've all been around for a while so you sort of realise that a slot of the big headliners of old, it's hard to anticipate how many big groups like that there are. In five years' time I don't know who's going to headlining."

Rebellious teenager Rita Ora

Rita Ora was a rebellious teenager.
The 'Poison' singer grew up in west London and would regularly go to parties and clubs in secret when her parents, psychiatrist mother Vera and pub owner father Besnik, thought she was at friends' houses having sleepovers.
Speaking to the new issue of Marie Claire magazine, Rita - who has an older sister Elena and younger brother Don - confessed: "I would rip my T-shirts and be really punk and not clean. And I would have blonde hair, really dark eyebrows, red lipstick, lots of fake rings that made my fingers go green. I wouldn't be smelling that great ... But me and my friends, we were really, like, rebel-y. I feel like I lived a lot when I shouldn't have."
The 24-year-old pop star - who has been confirmed as a judge on 'The X Factor' today (16.06.15) - admits she has always been an impulsive person but has had to learn to be patient to have a career in the music business.
She said: "I've had to have a lot of patience. Because there have been times at night where I want to pull my hair out and just put my music out for free on the Internet and just say f**k everybody. But then I have this conscience saying no, be smart, be strategic. There are ways of doing things and still getting your way. If I'm going to do Rita Ora, it's going to be Rita f***ing Ora. It's not about who is on my album or who's featured or the names. It's about a solid body of work that I can call my own."
Rita's full interview is in the July issue of Marie Claire magazine, which is out on June 23.

Ellie and Dougie sing in nude

Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter sing together in the nude.
The talented couple - who began dating last March - revealed they frequently sit down and make music together, with the McBusted singer joking they always do so while naked because "that works with girls".
He explained: "We both play guitar, exactly what I do with my bandmates. We sit down and play together and, like, jam together and mess around."
His bandmate Danny Jones interjected saying: "Naked obviously?"
Dougie replied: "Yeah, exactly. That works with girls."
The 27-year-old star and his 28-year-old girlfriend - who got matching skull and crossbones tattoos on their hands earlier this year - are unlikely to be wowing their fans with a musical collaboration anytime soon though, because the 'Air Guitar' singer believes their styles are "too different" to work together properly.
He confessed: "But I don't think we'd ever release music together as our genres are too different."
And when Dougie isn't singing with the blonde beauty, his band have been playing lots of shows supporting One Direction, which they admit have been slightly stressful as their manager piled on the pressure for them to perform well after Zayn Malik quit the chart-topping band.
Tom Fletcher said: "It was our first show back since going on holiday, so we were trying to remember stuff. It was with One Direction and it was their first show since Zayn has left, so our manager was telling us we had to be on form as there were so many people watching."

Mariah Carey settles lawsuit

Mariah Carey has settled a lawsuit with her former nanny.
The #Beautiful' hitmaker has reached a settlement with Simonette DaCosta, who filed documents in January in which she claimed she was unfairly fired because she showed too much affection to the singer and estranged husband Nick Cannon's four-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
The amount of the settlement has not been disclosed by Manhattan Federal Court, who have now closed the case.
In her original documents, DaCosta, who was hired as a full-time nanny when the children were infants, claimed Mariah became jealous when she developed a very close relationship with the twins.
She also alleges that she was overworked and sometimes forced to look after the twins for more than 100 hours a week as the 45-year-old singer and the 'America's Got Talent' host insisted she rotated between working shifts of seven 12-hour days and five 24-hour days.
Mariah admitted last year that she regularly fired nannies for interfering with the bond she has with her children.
She said at the time: "Unfortunately I have to have nannies but I've very hands-on. I fire nannies like this and I hate doing it, but I have to because if they try to make themselves more important in the baby's mind than me..."
Nick also confirmed that the singer fired their children's minders "every other week."
He explained: "It's something about a woman and her children...you know, the minute the child chooses to go to the nanny before they go to the mom -- I would have an issue with that, too.
"Everything's on a trial basis. It's just like, hey, we're gonna see how this works out. And we're always traveling, so the nanny might not get a plane ticket to the next city."

North West has birthday at Disneyland

North West spent her birthday at Disneyland.
The two-year-old tot, who is the daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West, was treated to a trip to the theme park for the milestone on Monday (15.06.15), being joined by other members of the Kardashian family for the occasion.
As well as Kanye and Kim, the latter of whom was wearing Mickey Mouse ears to match North, who also had a Minnie Mouse bow painted on her head, they were joined by sister Kourtney and her kids, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner who brought her rapper boyfriend Tyga and his two-year-old son King Cairo.
The bash, held at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, saw guests meet at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree just outside Fantasyland at 10am before enjoying attractions including the carousel before meeting for a party with lunch, cake, and balloons spelling out the youngster's name.
Additionally, guests to the party, dubbed "North's Disney Adventure" according to E! News, were requested not to bring gifts but were treated to escorts around the park and special passes to the front of lines.
The event comes just weeks after the family reportedly attempted to book the entire park for the day to celebrate the tot's milestone, which was marked with a Coachella-themed party last year.
However, a Disneyland spokesperson refuted the claims, saying: "Disneyland will be open on June 15 as a regular business day.
"Although we don't comment on private visits, private parties are not uncommon here."

Naya Rivera’s sex struggle

Naya Rivera finds having sex while pregnant "odd".
The 'Glee' actress is expecting her first child with husband Ryan Dorsey and admits they no longer make love as frequently, both because of her changing shape and the idea that the baby is there with them.
She said: "Things like sex with my husband became a bit odd for me due to the fact that I was now limited to about two positions in order to not squash -- as my husband puts it -- 'its roof' or have the baby (my belly) staring him in the face. I feel like men are constantly imagining their baby winking at them when they make love to their pregnant wives thus making sexy times more few and far between."
Though the 28-year-old beauty was relieved when her first trimester was over and she was feeling much less nauseous and tired, she found it frustrating to remember she still couldn't partake in some of her favourite pre-pregnancy activities.
Writing a blog for People, she admitted: "During my second trimester, I felt like the black cloud of extreme fatigue had lifted and I was 100 percent myself again. I was ready to hit the town in a cute outfit, grab cocktails with my girls, have wild sex with my husband ... Oh, but wait, I'm still pregnant.
"There were times during my second trimester when I felt so good that I forgot I was still carrying a child. This mind f**k of trickery led to what I believe should be called 'the second trimester slump'.
"Yes, it was amazing to finally not have to deal with the misery and discomfort most women face in their first trimester. But how awful is it to feel like your old self again, but not be able to participate in any of those fun activities you once took for granted?"

Kimberley Walsh recalls dramatic marriage proposal

Kimberley Walsh received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend Justin Scott moments after giving birth to their son.
The 33-year-old beauty - who starred in the British band Girls Aloud - has revealed how her nine-month-old son Bobby played a crucial role in the surprise proposal.
Kimberley, who's been with her partner for a decade, explained: "I'd just handed Bobby to Justin, so he had our gorgeous newborn son in one arm and I remember Bobby had his eyes open.
"Bobby didn't take his gaze off me as Justin slipped his other hand into his pocket and suddenly the pair of them were sinking down towards the floor.
"I said, 'What are you doing?', then Justin pulled out this gorgeous ring. We'd only just stopped crying from the joy and relief of finally meeting our baby, but that set us both off again. I was in bits."
Meanwhile, Kimberley also revealed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, her former band-mate, was among the first of her friends and family to know about her impending marriage.
She told HELLO! magazine: "Cheryl came to the hospital about an hour after Bobby was born and was getting her first cuddles with him.
"Then I said, 'Oh, and there's something else ...' and showed her the ring. She started crying and said, 'Oh my God, what are you trying to do to me?'"

George Michael’s friends’ fears

George Michael's friends warned him to "get help or die" before he sought treatment at a Swiss rehab facility.
The 'Careless Whisper' hitmaker is reportedly being treated at the Kusnacht Practice in Zollikon, near Zurich and though one of his friends admitted the star is "not well", he refused to confirm claims the 51-year-old singer was smoking up to 25 cannabis joints a day before he began visiting the clinic.
His pal Jake Panayiotou told The Sun newspaper: "He's not well. I can't say any more but we're just wishing for him to get better."
Another friend added: "Everyone has been very worried about George. The advice has been very clear, 'You need to seek help or die'.
"Nobody knows the extent of his issues or what is going on behind closed doors, but anyone close to him just wants to know he's seeking professional help and not going through this on his own."
A spokesperson for the singer insisted George - who was pictured having a drink with friends in a Zurich restaurant earlier this week - is not a rehab in-patient but had visited the clinic as part of an "extended break".
She added: "Contrary to some reports George has not just entered rehab but is spending time in Europe.
"He is well and enjoying an extended break, as the recent photographs in a national newspaper clearly illustrate."
In March last year, George said he had not used cannabis for "well over a year-and-a-half".
The 'Faith' hitmaker said a series of health scares and trouble with the law had convinced him to quit using the drug.
He shared: "I decided to change my life and I haven't touched it."
George was handed an eight-week prison sentence in 2010 after crashing his car into a photographic shop in London while under the influence of drugs, and he said it marked a turning point in his life.
He reflected: "Jail wasn't great. I just thought, 'Get your head down and get on with it'. It turned out to be easier than I was expecting because I knew I deserved to be there."

Miley Cyrus hates ‘macho’ energy

Miley Cyrus hates the "overly macho energy" when dating guys.
The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker - who was previously engaged to Liam Hemsworth and dated Patrick Schwarzenegger - recently admitted she dates both men and women but has encountered problems when romancing people of both genders.
Explaining why she dislikes "overly macho energy", she said: "That made me feel like I had to be a femme-bot, which I'm not.
"And then when I was with a girl, I felt like, 'Oh s**t, she's going to need someone to protect her, so I'm going to need to have this macho energy.' "
Though Miley finds it easy to meet people she can have sex with, she struggles to make a meaningful connection.
She said: "F***ing is easy. You can find someone to f**k in five seconds. We want to find someone we can talk to. And be ourselves with. That's fairly slim pickings."
The 22-year-old singer recalled how she broke down in tears when her male date took her to a restaurant last Valentine's Day (14.02.15) and she caught a glimpse of a future she knew she didn't want for herself.
She told TIME magazine: "All the women in the restaurant were with these older, fat men that had just let themselves go. They were just being drunk b*****ds. And then the women were sitting there, trying so hard just to look good. And they're ignoring them the whole time.
" And I thought, 'I'm not living like this. If I end up in a straight relationship, that's fine -- but I'm not going to be with f***ing slob guys who are watching porn, making all their girls feel ugly."
Miley believes she is so "open" with her sexuality because of her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus.
She explained: "I don't associate men and protection necessarily," Cyrus says. "I think that's what's given me the openness of sexuality. Not that my dad wasn't an awesome protector, but I trust my mom to save me. She's the prince. I never had that fairy tale."
