Porsche hits back at Paul Walker’s daughter’s lawsuit

Porsche has rubbished claims a "defective" seat belt and "lack of safety features" is to blame for Paul Walker's death after his daughter filed a wrongful death lawsuit against it.
The German car company has issued a statement blaming the 'Fast and Furious' actor's death in 2013 on reckless driving and excessive speeding after 16-year-old Meadow filed liable court documents yesterday (29.09.15).
The manufacturer told CNN: "As we have said before, we are very sad whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities' reports in this case clearly establish that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed."
However, Meadow's lawsuit disputes law enforcement's assertion that the crash was caused by speeding, with Roger driving between 80 to 93 miles per hour, as she claims his actual speed was between 63 and 71 mph.
The youngster also believes the 2005 Carrera GT Paul was travelling in at the time "lacked safety features...that could have prevented the accident or, at a minimum, allowed Paul Walker to survive the crash."
Meadow also alleges the vehicle "had a history of instability and control issues but the company failed to install its electronic stability control system, which is specifically designed to protect against the swerving actions inherent in hyper-sensitive vehicles of this type."
The youngster went on to claim Paul was still alive when the car caught fire and a "defective" seat belt prevented him from escaping after the safety feature "snapped Walker's torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis" and leaving him trapped.
Paul tragically died two years ago in Santa Clarita, California when his friend Roger Rodas lost control of the Carrera GT they were travelling in and hit a concrete lamppost, followed by two trees, before the car went up in flames.

Brian Austin Green seeking spousal support from Megan Fox

Brian Austin Green is seeking spousal support from Megan Fox.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, former 'Beverly Hills 90210' actor Brian, 42, requested that Megan, 29 - the mother of his sons Noah, two, and Bodhi, 19 months - continue to support him financially.
Brian has been unable to work because of vertigo, which affects his balance, sustained as a result of the car crash he and Megan were involved in last December.
Meanwhile, a source previously claimed that 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' actress Megan felt "overwhelmed" by her husband's expectations of her.
They said: "Megan and Brian's split is a classic Hollywood story of two people in different stages of life and career.
"Megan is young and hot and sought after for work, and she is eager to move ahead in her career. Brian wants more of her time than she can allow.
"She was overwhelmed with the children and her husband's expectations, which got in the way of work responsibilities. They had many disagreements and arguments about her time at home, which led to problems."
Megan filed for support last month, citing "irreconcilable differences", and is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their two sons.
However, their split is said to be "very amicable" and they are still living in the same house in Los Angeles.

Amanda Seyfriend and Justin Long split

Amanda Seyfried and Justin Long have split up after two years of dating.
The pair - who lived together in New York - reportedly ended their relationship a few weeks ago, leaving Justin, 37, "heartbroken".
A source told Us Weekly: "It happened a few weeks ago. He's really heartbroken.
"They had different schedules and different lives. They just grew apart."
The break-up comes as a surprise as Amanda, 29, recently revealed that the pair had "sort of" discussed tying the knot.
Asked if they had talked about marriage, she said: "Not really. I mean, sort of. You never know how committed you are when you're both always working.
"It's just a good feeling to know that you love each other. That's the most important thing. It's like, 'Are we here?' We love each other, we respect each other and it's a nice place to be."
Amanda also said that although she thinks parenthood would be a "wonderful adventure", she isn't ready to start a family of her own just yet.
She explained: "Right now. I'm being careful. But it does seem like a wonderful adventure.
"My three best friends have kids and it looks like they've figured out the secret of life because of it. They are very happy."
Justin previously dated Drew Barrymore, while Amanda had an on/off relationship with Dominic Cooper.

Professor Green’s hideaway shed

Professor Green has built a shed to hide from his wife Millie Mackintosh's clothing deliveries.
The 31-year-old rapper - whose real name is Stephen Manderson - has admitted he constantly "nags" his spouse, 26, to get rid of her excess clothes and can't believe it when even more garments arrive at their house.
He said: "I've been nagging Millie since before we moved in together to whittle down her wardrobe.
"She gets sent stuff all the time - I should know, I'm at home trying to write a f***ing song and a f***ing delivery man turns up. That's why I've built a shed, where I won't be able to hear the doorbell.
"The other day, she spent four hours sorting it out. One of the piles was higher than my waist - it just looked ridiculous."
The 'Read All About It' hitmaker thinks their relationship would make for an entertaining TV show, but they have always vowed not to open up their homes to the cameras.
Speaking to Heat magazine, he said: "We've always said we wouldn't [do a TV show]. But s**t does happen that should be on a TV show. I enjoy having secrets. I enjoy our relationship being ours."

Selena Gomez seeks advice from Jennifer Aniston

Selena Gomez calls Jennifer Aniston when she needs advice.
The 23-year-old star feels "very lucky" to be friends with the 'Cake' actress, 46, because she is so "kind and warm" and helps to guide her through life.
She said: "I met Jennifer through my management company - we're represented by the same people - and she's been so wonderful to me. She's invited me over to her house and made pizza for me and just been so kind and warm.
"I'm very lucky to have her as a friend and we've talked a lot about dealing with the media attention and having your life exposed at times. I know I can call her for advice and that's a nice feeling."
As well as Jennifer, Selena is also thankful for her friendship with "loyal" Taylor Swift, 25, who is always able to give her reassurance on her personal and professional life.
She told LOOK magazine: "Taylor is such a great friend. She's the most loyal friend anyone could ever have.
"She was one of the first people to see my video for 'Good For You' and she was so thrilled and told me how amazing it was and how excited she was for me."
She added: "There's always some doubt in the back of your mind about whether you're moving in the right direction musically and Taylor is so smart and has very good instincts about music and videos. It meant so much to me to know that she really liked it."

Ellen Page feels ‘lucky’ to be dating Samantha Thomas

Ellen Page feels "lucky" to be dating Samantha Thomas.
The 'Freeheld' star, who announced she is a lesbian last year, says her girlfriend is "special" and is proud to be in a place to "love someone openly."
Asked how it feels to celebrate the release of her new movie, in which she stars as Stacie Andree, who fought for the right to inherit her late partner Laurel Hester's pension benefits, with the artist by her side, the 28-year-old actress said: "So far, that's not something I've experienced in my life. And to love someone openly, to hold someone's hand walking down the street, it's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful thing, and I'm just lucky enough to have someone in my life as special as her."
Meanwhile Ellen's co-star Julianne Moore is very proud of her for being a great role model.
Speaking at the film's New York premiere, she told 'Entertainment Tonight': "I could talk about Ellen Page forever, I adore her. She's had an amazing year, she's an amazing person. She's an incredible standard bearer, I think, just for the gay community and for her experience, and she really sets an incredible example."
Ellen is set to receive the prestigious National Vanguard Award from the Human Rights Campaign in Washington D.C. next Saturday (03.10.15) from U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

Victoria Beckham is ‘very proud’ of her kids

Victoria Beckham is "very proud" of her children's charity work.
The British fashion designer claims her four children, Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, and Cruz, 10, and Harper, four, with husband David Beckham, are always eager to give back and make a difference "however big or small that is."
Speaking at a charity luncheon for Fashion 4 Development in New York, the 41-year-old star said: "The children definitely want to do their bit too, which we're very proud of."
The former Spice Girls singer is particularly proud of Romeo for raising £6,000 for the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS and the 7 fund, which is a collaboration with UNICEF providing assistance to children in danger zones around the world, by running a three-mile children's marathon in April.
She told E! News: "Romeo last year actually ran in the marathon and he raised money for both UNAIDS and David's charity as well that he has with UNICEF.
"As a family, we want to do whatever we can do to help and make a difference however big or small that is."
While Victoria previously insisted she and Dave try not to spoil their sons, the retired footballer recently admitted he has "no power" over their daughter.
He said: "I love all my children, of course, equally but I'm definitely stricter with the boys than I am Harper, which gets me in trouble with my wife of course."

January Jones gets claustrophobic

January Jones isn't a "daredevil."
The 'Last Man on Earth' actress is a vocal supporter of the largest international ocean conservation and advocacy organisation, Oceana, but admits she can get "a little claustrophobic" in the water.
Speaking at a charity event in Beverly Hills to help raise funds and awareness for conserving the open waters, she said: "I'm not a daredevil. I like jet skiing. I don't love to scuba dive. I just get a little claustrophobic. When I do trips with Oceana, I usually free dive and hold my breath. [I can't hold my breath] for too long. It would be like a minute, tops."
But the 37-year-old star admits her four-year-old son, Xander, is a lot more courageous and is desperate to go swimming with sharks.
She said: "We read a lot of books about sharks and dinosaurs. He wants to go swimming with sharks with me, but I've told him he has to wait until he's 10. It's a fair age, I think. But he can go on tagging trips on the boat maybe."
The former 'Mad Men' actress doesn't expect Xander to follow in her footsteps by becoming an actor.
She told PEOPLE.com: "He knows all the names of every dinosaur, and he wants to be a real dinosaur scientist when he grows up. Not a paleontologist, but a scientist for real dinosaurs. So, he's dreaming big."

Dwayne Johnson’s puppy dies

Dwayne Johnson is grieving the death of his puppy Brutus.
The 'San Andreas' star, who saved the French bulldog from drowning in his pool earlier this month, is devastated his pet had to be put to sleep by vets after eating a poisonous mushroom in the garden of his Los Angeles home on Monday (28.09.15).
The 43-year-old actor paid tribute to his late puppy on Twitter, writing: "We'll always love you Brutus ... and you'll always be my lil' main man and rough housing Brute (sic)."
The dog was initially placed on life support, but had no chance of survival as his liver had completely shut down as a result of ingesting the toxic mushroom, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
The sad news comes just weeks after Dwayne, who only recently purchased Brutus and another bulldog named Hobbs, was forced to jump into his pool on September 7 when the black-and-white pup sank to the bottom.
The actor documented the experience on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself soaking wet in his pool with the dogs in each arm at the time, with the caption: "I set them both down and they both take off in a full sprint and fall right into the deep end of our pool. HOBBS immediately starts doggy paddling while BRUTUS (like a brick) sink heads first to the bottom of the pool.
"I take off into a full sprint, fully clothed, dive in the pool, swim to the bottom, rescue my brick, I mean BRUTUS and bring him back to the edge of the pool.
"He was a little delirious.. took a moment, threw up all the water he swallowed and looked up at me as if to say, 'Thank God you didn't have to give me mouth to mouth!' and then ran off to play with his brother."
