Yolanda Foster feels her Lyme Disease diagnosis changed the "dynamic" of her relationship with David Foster.
The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star announced she had split from the 66-year-old musician last week after three years of marriage and now claims her chronic illness put stresses on their relationship beyond repair.
Speaking to Watch What Happens Live, she shared: "We had a beautiful love story that I will treasure forever. Unfortunately it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way.
"Chronic, long-term illness is extremely challenging. Not only for the person sick but also for the caregiver. It for sure changed the dynamic of the relationship.
"The truth is that we both worked through the difficult time through the best of our ability, so rather than judging what went wrong, I pick to honour the great times that we shared the last nine years. There was a wealth of good times."
Meanwhile, the 51-year-old television personality previously admitted she was "heartbroken" following the pair's break up.
She said: "I keep going, one foot in front of the other. Obviously, this is a difficult time and I'm heartbroken.
"I hope to be moving forward to a brighter future and I'm just trying to get through it one day at a time."

Miranda Kerr's son is "very cheeky".
The former Victoria's Secret angel has revealed her four-year-old son Flynn - who she has with ex-husband Orlando Bloom - has a "lot of charisma".
She shared: "He's very cheeky, and he's got a lot of charisma.
"It's interesting to see the world through his eyes and the way he expresses himself."
The 32-year-old beauty also revealed her little boy shares her love of healthy and organic food and one of his favourite foods is an avocado.
She said: "He'll eat toast with a little avocado, and sometimes a little scrambled egg. I try to keep it very fresh and homemade.
"He always draws pictures and says, 'You're in there cooking and I'm outside playing in the garden!'"
And when he's not busy drawing pictures for his mother, Flynn amuses himself by playing with his favourite toy - a wooden train set.
She told Us Weekly magazine: "He has a wooden train set and right before I left yesterday, we got up really early and made the train set and made it go under the piano and all around and he said 'Ah! This is the best train set we've ever made!'"

Caitlyn Jenner is ready to upstage her daughters.
The 'I Am Cait' star - who was known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition - has joked that she's ready to step in the spotlight alongside Kendall and Kylie Jenner and stepchildren Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian.
She said: "Do you know how many boring photos I've taken in my life? 'Just stand in the background. Don't get in the girls' way. Stand waaaay in the back. Not anymore."
The 66-year-old former Olympian also opened up about her hopes for the transgender community.
She added to TIME magazine: "I want to make a positive impact on this community and on the world. This happens all over the world, and it's something almost nobody understands ...
"There are so many issues for trans people. There's a lot of work to be done. I am so excited about the future, and hopefully I can have an impact in opening up this conversation."
Meanwhile, Caitlyn previously admitted she "cried a little bit" when she officially changed her name.
She shared: "Yesterday was significant, because my name and gender change came through. Holy c**p. Here we are - honestly never knowing if this day would ever come. In some ways, it's a little sad.
"Bruce was a good guy, did a lot of good things, raised a tremendous family and wonderful kids. But I just couldn't play that game any longer. I actually cried a little bit about it. I was on the golf course, off playing by myself. It was very exciting, but such a head trip."

Barbra Streisand never has time to listen to music.
The legendary singer/songwriter admits she barely listens to chart songs as she is too busy working on her own tracks but thinks Taylor Swift is brilliant for standing up to Apple Music and demanding they pay artists when someone streams their songs during the three month trial period when using the music service.
Of Taylor's decision to fight the corporation, she shared: "I loved it. By the way, she and I are the only people who had platinum albums last year. Isn't that fun?
"I love that! But I don't have time [to listen to new music.] Because I'm working on music now, I never even put music on in my car. I can't."
The 73-year-old songstress also revealed she loves to work on her albums and credits her "wonderful team" for making every second enjoyable.
She added to the Hollywood Reporter: "I love doing my albums because I have a wonderful team that I work with. I have this idea for the album that I can't talk about yet.
"But there's no ego in it. It's like, I'll say something, they come up with something, and, 'Oh! Ah! Go to the piano and try this!' It's like doing a play."

Nick Cannon will "always be family" with Mariah Carey.
The 'America's Got Talent' host - who split from the 'When You Believe' hitmaker last year - insists the pair will always be close for the sake of their four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
He shared: "It's all about unconditional love. And knowing because they were so young, this is what they know: They know Mommy and Daddy still love each other, but more importantly they love us. It's family. We'll always be family."
The 35-year-old star also revealed he'd love to meet Mariah's boyfriend, billionaire James Packer, one day.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he added: "I think that would be cool."
Meanwhile, Nick previously insisted the 46-year-old singer is the "love of [his] life".
He said: "It's one of those things, I'm a hopeless romantic too.
Through this learning process, you never say never. To me one thing I know, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family and that's never going to change.
"It's extremely disappointing when you see that people just want to perpetuate negativity when there is no negativity even involved."

Taylor Swift wants to be more spontaneous.
The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker admits she usually plans her career two years in advance but is trying to learn to be more impulsive and is going to let her story "write itself" for sometime now.
She said: "What I'm looking forward to in 2016 is not knowing what's next. I've always planned my career a year or two in advance, and I refused to do that this time.
"1989 was such a huge chapter in my life and career, and it's an exciting thought to let the story write itself now for a while."
The 25-year-old beauty has had a long year, having toured many countries across the globe as part of her '1989' world tour.
When asked to reflect on 2015, she shared to PEOPLE magazine: "The most challenging part of the year was being on-point for every show of a huge stadium tour.
"There was a lot to remember and balance with all the surprise guest performances, but it was worth it. I feel like we created memories I'll cherish for the rest of my life."
Meanwhile, Taylor previously admitted she felt "lucky" to be liked by so many people.
She said: "Things are good right now but I'm never going to be stupid, foolish or ignorant enough to think I have control over the public. All I can control is making good music.
"I am so lucky that people seem to like me right now, but in no way, shape or form is it a permanent thing. And I think being aware of that is what keeps you smart and is what keeps you on the game."

Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are not planning to have any more children.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star - who gave birth to her second child, son Saint, on Saturday (05.12.15) - has reportedly decided against having another child as it could be too "dangerous" with her various medical conditions brought on by pregnancy and the subsequent birth, including placenta accreta.
A source told PEOPLE magazine: "The plan now is not to have any more kids and Kim is okay with that. Doctors have advised that [trying for another baby] could be dangerous.
"The fact that she has two children makes her so happy. North, and now the baby, are the centers of their universe. Things can always change, but she and Kanye are totally happy with just North and Saint."
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old television personality - who also has two-year-old daughter North with the 'Only One' hitmaker - is thought to have had a really "tough" birth because of her medical condition, with sources claiming the couple chose the name to show how much of a "blessing" their little boy is.
A source said: "She had a really tough birth because of the issues with her placenta."

Gigi Hadid finds it "weird" being around her sister's boyfriend while wearing just her lingerie.
The 20-year-old model was one of the hottest young stars as she made her Victoria's Secret debut for the brand's Fashion Show last month.
Along with the angels strutting their stuff on the runway, musical entertainment was provided at the annual event by stars including Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding.
The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, has been dating Gigi's model sibling Bella since June, and also took to the stage. However, Gigi admits the prospect of her sister's 25-year-old boyfriend seeing her wearing a series of skimpy ensembles was more than a little awkward.
In a pre-filmed segment aired during the catwalk show broadcast on Tuesday night (08.12.15), Gigi joked: "It's a little weird walking past your sister's boyfriend in lingerie."
The show's bosses later decided Gigi would walk when Selena and Ellie were performing, so she luckily managed to avoid any embarrassing encounters with 'Can't Feel My Face' singer The Weeknd.
Bella and The Weeknd's relationship began back in June after their friendship turned into romance following the Coachella music festival.
They have since been seen out together on numerous occasions and appear to be happier than ever.
A source told E! News of the pairing: "They were hanging out in Coachella and were flirting lots. They have many things in common and really enjoyed each other's company. She loves his music as well. They are hanging out for sure now."

Marie Osmond has become a grandmother for the third time.
The 56-year-old singer's son Stephen Craig and his wife Claire welcomed baby boy Christian James into the world last month.
Marie shared a picture of her family's new addition on her Facebook page, alongside the caption: "Meet my ‪#‎grandson‬ Christian Thomas! ‪#‎Love‬ at first sight! ‪#‎blessed‬ #‎newbaby‬ ‪#‎baby‬ ‪#‎family‬ #love ‪#‎beautiful‬ ‪#‎babyboy‬ ‪#‎GlamMa‬ ‪#‎MarieOsmond‬ (sic)."
In the picture, Christian is seen sleeping soundly, while wrapped in a star print blanket.
Stephen and Claire already parents to son Stephen James Craig, who will turn two later this month.
According to sources, Marie is already doing everything she can to help out her son with his new arrival.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "Marie and her husband, Stephen Sr., are hands-on grandparents."
Marie, who found fame with her brothers Donny, Jimmy, Alan and Wayne as singing troupe The Osmonds, also has a granddaughter.
Her daughter Rachel gave birth to a baby girl called Rocket Jade four months ago, and has apparently been leaning on her mother for support.
The source added: "Marie has bent over backwards to help both her daughter-in-law Claire and her daughter Rachel because she knows how taxing it is to be a new mother."
