Sharon Mitchell will do whatever it takes to protect baby

Sharon Mitchell will do whatever it takes "to protect herself, her baby and Keanu Taylor."
Letitia Dean’s ‘EastEnders’ character Sharon is in for a dramatic Christmas when her husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) discovers he is not the father of her baby and Letitia says desperate Sharon will go to any lengths to protect herself, the child and Keanu (Danny Walters), who she had an affair with.
She told Metro.co.uk: "Sharon’s already gone to great lengths to protect her secret; she kidnapped Keanu, she chased Mel Owens to the airport, and she’s lied to everyone around here. If she was pushed even further, I don’t think there’s anything she wouldn’t do to protect herself, her baby and even Keanu."
Mel’s (Tamzin Outhwaite) discovered about the baby’s paternity ultimately led to her death and her pal Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) spills the beans to Phil in an effort to get revenge.
Letitia said: "She took a huge risk telling Lisa everything, but she thought it was the only thing she could do to shut her up. Sharon doesn’t think for one second Lisa would reveal all to Phil’s daughter Louise, it would break her heart, so Sharon’s quietly confident. When the secret died with Mel, there was a sense of relief for Sharon and even Lisa shouting off her mouth about the baby hasn’t phased her, she thinks she’s got everything under control."
Despite the drama for Sharon, Letitia admitted she loved filming the tension-filled scenes.
She said: "It’s always fantastic having those big dramatic scenes with Steve, he’s such a generous actor, I love working with him. The scenes are so tense, all I’ll say is that it’s ‘EastEnders’ at Christmas so it’s very dramatic – Phil is at his angriest and we see the fighter in Sharon, it was a fantastic dynamic to play."
